I still love this after first hearing it in 1980. Had the pleasure to see this band in 81 at Colwyn Bay pier pavilion in North Wales UK. Inspiring to say the least.
Seen these guys @ the Woodbine Club in Crumlin South Wales, Was in ore at how this band were ahead of it,s time with their style of rock music, Awesome “BUDGIE”
Buying this tape from one of those circa big 1989/90 cardboard displays with $1.99 cassettes on it at Bradlees and loving Budgie ever since brought me here.
Well I've grown up in a ring of tangles Gonna make my move gonna use all the angles Somebody said you were a spitfire cat Burning love gonna put an end to that Wanna clean break, clean fight Shake my hand but you don't try anything rash Catch you with my long throw Take you by surprise Gonna get you with a forearm smash Baby, forearm smash Baby, forearm smash Seconds away gonna break your back If you don't wanna play then don't give me flak People spend money just to see you fall When you're out for the count They won't care no more, no more I wanna clean fight baby so you'd better move over I'm a heavy weight killer with a featherlight mover It's a long time holding my arms around you I'm gonna fight dirty `cause I'm gonna get you Oh, he hit me, he cut me Pulling my hair, aiming below the belt It's a prize fight and I was right It's a grudge fight over woman that gives me hell Baby, forearm smash Baby, forearm smash.
@@johnthonig8832 Metallica has cover songs , but Iron Maiden literally copied phantom of the opera bass line on one of their song , also many riffs ect , Steve really was influenced on the older albums , the bass is dominant and you can hear how it influenced him with the melodies
Even Ozzie said they looked towards Budgie for their metal roots. I was lucky, my cousin was, for want of a better phrase ,in tight with the band. I practiced with them many, many times. Tony B was a great tutor :)
Rock n roll hall of fame is just that, for rock n roll ...budgie are high quality hardrock and deserve their own hall of fame, along with Mountain,Blue oyster cult ,Sabbath and all the other classic rock bands that aren't led zep or radio shit rock....fark the rock n roll hall of fame is a joke
@@gixxusmetalman7435 Totally agree.....RRHF seems a bad joke in some cases. Let's keep our personal Hard and Blues Rock Hall of Fame for Mountain, Ten Years After, Budgie, Nazareth, UFO, Uriah Heep, etc.
This doesn't sound like B you are k e shell e on vocals. Burke Shelly . This sounds like Dave Mennikettie YNT . It's good but it doesn't sound like budgie
One of the most underrated bands in rock history!

Sea of Tranquility

I remember them from K-Mart, but totally worth taking a chance at a banger album cover for $1.99. Memories.
Duckwalkin' Rock And Roll....

Well I've grown up in a ring of tangles
Gonna make my move gonna use all the angles
Somebody said you were a spitfire cat
Burning love gonna put an end to that
Wanna clean break, clean fight
Shake my hand but you don't try anything rash
Catch you with my long throw
Take you by surprise
Gonna get you with a forearm smash
Baby, forearm smash
Baby, forearm smash
Seconds away gonna break your back
If you don't wanna play then don't give me flak
People spend money just to see you fall
When you're out for the count
They won't care no more, no more
I wanna clean fight baby so you'd better move over
I'm a heavy weight killer with a featherlight mover
It's a long time holding my arms around you
I'm gonna fight dirty `cause I'm gonna get you
Oh, he hit me, he cut me
Pulling my hair, aiming below the belt
It's a prize fight and I was right
It's a grudge fight over woman that gives me hell
Baby, forearm smash
Baby, forearm smash.
Jesus fucking Christ this is fucking phenomenal, almost 10 years ago I first heard this, it has lost none of its potency!!!
Can’t find the album on Spotify sadly. Epic band.
none of their xtuff is easy to find digitally. Whoever is watching over their stuff is way behind.

does exactly what it's title suggests: it brings you down and then jumps up and down on your spine. but in a good way.

kind of a shame this song hasnt been in Cobra Kai, seems like it would fit right in. theyve got one last season to rectify that.
