Lyrics -
Come on everyone of you g.i's
You are the ones who can care
Speed on you wonderful dropouts
We'll break the walls of this room in
Zoom along, superstar
All over the land
Move on music man
Come on everyone of you people
You ain't got mud in your eyes
Tell everybody with hunger
Eat up the music tonight
Come on you'll only get harder
I wanna get it to you
You are my life
You turn around in your zoot suit
Come on everyone of you preachers
You do the best that you can
Move on every one of you teachers
You do the best that you can
Criminally underrated band
In a way I prefer it like that, it's our secret weapon!
@@CS-zj8ex Well said
Criminally - very very correct ;-) A Dios from Poland ;-)
Not in Poland 😊
I literally just said that to my girl. It should be a crime that Budgie is so under appreciated
Is this the greatest song of all time!
RIP Burke Shelley, Your Music Will Never Die!
Thats why we are listening right now , It is a sad day but we are the people who know good music when we hear it rock on fellow budgie fan
NEVER! Here in Poland we love Budgie! Why this band and its music hadn't been as popular as other bands those days?
Robert Plant. “If we’d have toured with Budgie, we could well have been done for”.
I got into Budgie bc of Brütal Legend. As soon as I heard them, I was hooked and went so far as to back-order two of their albums through a local record shop bc I couldn't find them anywhere else. When my dad took me to go pick them up he was so shocked that I even knew who Budgie was. It was one of those rare moments where we really bonded over mutual intrest and since then he's gifted me several of his old Budgie vinyl records he had when he was a young man. I love them so much and I love that we share such a deep love for music and the power it has to bring people together.
Same here bud. Brutal legend is arguably the best video game ever made.
Hell yeah, brother!
@@dylanhelmbrecht8055 Really? I am 67 and I have never played a single computer game - must be because I have been working in IT for 50 years. Someone stole my idea for one though and is now a millionaire many times over.
Yeah I am playing that game now and the sound track has opened up my ears to many new bands I want to hear more of including Budgie. I knew it was a cover when Metallica did it but didn't know the original band. I really like their stuff and will seek out more.
Way before it's time. Open world game with the coolest soundtrack ever. Every part of it is a labor of love.@@dylanhelmbrecht8055
I wish I could 'like' this a second time.
Saw them twice at Newcastle City Hall..............never forgotten ! 🤟
it músic travel in the time much years Until the time of youth, and 324400$ From the employer to his employees.Merry christmas.🌘
Their greatest, most swaggering track, in my humble opinion. I know people will disagree, but it has everything Budgie had to offer, from Tony's lead to Burke;s rhythm. Rock at its best.
The intro is what plays in my head when it's sexy time.
It's ridiculous this band was not promoted in the US, if it weren't for Metallica and Jim Florentine I'd have never known about them.
This song in particular is one of the greatest prog rock songs ever. Thank you Budgie! AKA: The Welsh Rush!!!!
RIP Burke, one of the OG metal bands together with sabbath and priest
46 years later, we're all in the Zoom Club. Damn they were prescient
Check out Australia’s answer to Black Sabbath, Heavy Rock band of the early 70’s called Buffalo 3 Albums, Dead Forever, Volcanic Rock and We Only Want You For Your Body
Classic Budgie the most underrated band ever!!
is it just me, or is budgie truely timeless? like led zeppelin? iv developed such an immense apprieciation for this band, and when i show it to my friends, they're like "they're pretty good" i say BULLSHIT they are one of the most diverse rock bands ever.
I played this for one of my lifelong friends and he didn't like......I'm going to miss him
It's like they say "Budgie are the most underestimated band ever'' & we go "NOT BY THOSE WEHO KNOW BUDGIE IT ISN'T" LOL
ZOOMING IN THE CLUB RIGHT NOW YAH!~~~ ZOOM ON THE DAY I DIE? YES INDEED!~ 1
Better than Zep. Bourge had more versatility than Page.
I don't think Budgie is diverse but they rock like 10000 MFs
Yes they were. No one can do it. Im from Sweden. 1974 I heard them. Love them since that. Its just like a swedish band, Neon Rose. No one can do it again. No offence. About compare with another band. But, if you want, youtube, and listen to a band Neon Rose, early 70th.
this band should have been as popular as Sabbath, Rush, Zepplin, all the great seventies bands. maybe they were to lots of people, but in a worldwide sense, you don't hear Budgie in the same breath as those bands, but they were every bit as awesome.
Budgie is another high-caliber hard-rock band! :-D
2018 and I still tell people how great a sound Budgie is!
I was just telling some young guys the other day that Metallica didn't write Breadfan. They were amazed.
Highly underrated band. Listened to them from their very first album and have their first 6. They should have been famous world wide. Not sure what stopped them.
@@andrearitchie6464 Very liked in Poland, in '70 and '80 almost the same as sabs or zeps.
The drummer is fantastic on this cut.
Pete Boot. All of Budgie's drummers were great!
RIP Burke Shelley, not all geniuses are recognised in their lifetime. One of many truly epic Budgie tracks (and the name of my first band) I was privileged to meet Tony Bourge several times in the 80's and saw one of Budgie's last gigs about 12 years ago. The first five albums are amongst the best rock albums ever and compare with anyone.
The whole budgie playlist needs to be available to stream. They need more recognition

@@nonrevnosnibormetalbeerrev6251 streaming is not free. And Burke Shelley is gone, and he will not earn anything anyway.
@@antananarywa do you think the remaing budgie members and their families deserve nothing then 🤔
Well Burke has left for the Zoom Club ,great tune always loved this band raw and honest
Thank you, Wales, for giving us Budgie.
The only rock band I know of from Wales, but what a band!
I only know of three musical artists from Wales. Budgie is the one that matters most.
Still got the budgie albums today just started listening to them again awesome band
What a tune, bands can't make music like this anymore!!
This might be the greatest rock song in history.
One of the best Song in Rock History
If it wasn't for this song there wouldn't be half of Gaskins earliest riffs. Totally inspired me. R.I.P. Burke ❤
Gaskin rocks! NWOBHM forever!
@@ObscureStuff420 Thankyou !!
Blows my mind how budgie isn't as big as zeppelin sabbath rush..
In 74 these guys were only found in the import bins!
Considering they were one of the pioneers of heavy metal, they deserve way more recognition
What a great sounding band! Way ahead of their time. They don`t get the credit they deserve.
Many have "stolen" from them.
@@elnesto408
Metallica love em
🤘🤘
They never did and they never will but I love em. Friend of mine who was a rock star listened to this album with me. Afterward he said they were a piece of shit. I got up and left very pissed off.
wow such a insane riff in 1974? mindblowing
Zoom Club forever. . . This is GIANT. . .
I joined The Zoom Club in 1972 & I'm still in it right now lmao!~ 1
I just discovered this song - and this band - less than an hour ago, and this is already one of the greatest songs I have ever heard, hands down. Wow.
Back in the day. My mates and I would light up a big one, put this on the turntable and wait for the fireworks. Crank this fucker up. This is up there with any Sabs song.
@@anypoxynames same here man
First 4 albums are masterpiece.
@@anypoxynames.. I'm listening to this as of now.. Covid 19.. 6 creamy pints from cans into a pint glass.. A bottle of Kilbeggan just finished.. And so a starter on a bottle of Teeling.. And fuck the neighbours.
@@edwardspearing5148 If you have right neighbours... they'll thank you later
I first heard them back in Highschool. Willy turned me on to them. Great Group, Great music.
This is why I'm still cool today
This is why I have been cool since 1971
✌️✌️😊👍✌️
I've been cool since 1978!!
This is why we will always be cool. . . Hell yeah. . .
I had all their albums. I'm now almost 74. I'm cooler than all of ya. 😊
early seventies my dad brought home a compliation,Some hard some hot some heavy,as 14 year old already keen on sabbath, zepplin, deeppurple ,hendrix etc zoom club just grabbed me,such a catchy riff and deep heavy guitar, loved this song from first listen!
Bought the first Budgie album while I was in high school and have been a lifelong fan. Heartening to see how many others are equally as enthused. Budgie Flies Forever!!
Got this album from my Father at 14 years old and still loving it.
Wish there were more bands like this around now. Van Halen covered "In for the kill" when they were still playing high school gigs. They knew back then just how good this band was.
oh wow big vh fan , didnt know that , tho they did cover so much in their early days!!
Dave Mustaine from Megadeth was and still is a huge Budgie fan!
This is pure hard rock/heavy metal!!!! What a masterpiece!!
My step dad made me figure this first guitar riff back in the day when I was like around 15. I'm 46 now and he's been dead since I was 18. Miss him and listening to this song for him today. First time hearing all the way through 😊 it's pretty cool
I got this album approx. in 1976, and love it, my favourite Budgie album I bought when was living in communistic country for quite a bit of money. Still have in my property.
the definition of 'groove'
Easily one of the best rock bands on the planet 70's n 80's.
If yr tuning in now ...well done
This song is insane...Tony Brouges Riff an solo are sick...Bass funk Metal....hell yahh!!
Should be 300m and not 300k who have watched this. The more you listen to it the more you realise just how good it is.
First album I bought after starting work at 16 in74, only bought it because of the cover, never heard their music before. Probably the best album I've ever bought, still gives me goosebumps. 😊👍
Yep
Good riffing and playing all around. Tight and underrated. God/Jesus bless and save all that read this. Have a blessed day all.
Amén
Another banger of a track by budgie easily one of the best bands from the 70s outstanding
My favorite song
Its so alone in "hard rock". My favorite too.
Mine too !! I have vivid memories of bouncing off the walls of my bedroom, to this masterpiece!!
Such a catchy song from an extremely underrated band! More people need to listen to these guys. The mix of heavy metal and hard rock is absolutely great!!!
True sooo TRUE 🤘
Catchy? This shit is SPINE CRUSHING!
@@timprescott4634 I am an avid fan since 1972
@@johnthonig8832 Around ‘78 for me.
Such a splendid band - I feel so privileged to have seen them live a few times. Back home - wait for everyone to go out .. then turn up the volume ... life affirming stuff.
Hands down to one of my favorite bands from high school
Wow Budgie are wicked. Another blast from the past.
1974 my final year at school - how lucky can you be? - many bands would give some body parts if they could sound like this today. Views should be in the millions. But the world is full of uneducated people who know very little about real music and we also have some halfwits who gave this a thumbs down.
At my 20th birthday me and a friend of mine went for a car ride (smoking some pot) and he put this song on maximum volume. I remember this day as it was yesterday. One of the greatest rock songs EVER!
Yea gr8 choon t get smoked out too 😊
Gotta be one of my favorite bands of all time...✌👽👍👍👍 Glad to see there's more budgie fans out there....😁
More and more added daily because of RUclips. Been a fan since 1978.
A pretty awesome listening experience. Wow! I was still a kid in the 70s, but lately, I have opted to listen to not-so-popular bands of the 70s and this song tops them all. Man, it's good!
I live in Canada, so in '74 Rush was the closest we cound manage. Budgie is my go to reguardless.
That riff still gives me goose bumps!
Best damn band most people never heard of!...should have been up there!!!!
meatwarwick These Guys and the Groundhogs DEFINITLEY!!!
***** Just to say, this one got me mum rockin!...damn good track!
It was here in S.A. Tx. Along with Moxy , Frank Moreno and Mahogany Rush , Yesterday & Today( aka Y&T) , Rush, Triumph, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, and let's not forget DAVID BOWIE( R.I.P.) ,Queen, The Preist( Judas Priest), & so on. Great ROCK and ROLL!!!
meatwarwick I would argue led zeppelin is better
So, 'cause YOU'VE never heard of them before, no one has?
Fucktard
One of the few groups you can put any of there songs and enjoy the fuck out of it . Amazing band
First band ever saw live in 1973 with Judas Priest as support. Both bands played on the same stage for the encore. This is the best track from their 4th album, a heavy rock tour de force. Have a great live version from 1975 somewhere. Will have to dig it out sometime.
You can actually find on youtube them playing Running From My Soul with Judas Priest live, it’s amazing
Ten minutes of rock brilliance ! Budgie still rock and ,for me , always will !!
1974....and better production than the over compressed digital shite that gets churned out today. Budgie rocked.
Yeah man - I worked in a record store then and this was only available on vinyl as an import. I liked it and later a band called RUSH reminded me of them.
right, today's music is definitely sounds too inaccurate and the sound is horrible, they say though that this is the quality we were longing for, but, man, no, this reminds me a microscope technology, do you need to make photos with it? no. same thing with the audio
Peace
Absolutely...
One of the best band in Rock n roll thanks budgie
One of my favourite Budgie tracks. This band always had that hard, rough edge to them.
I used to own every single Budgie album. Love this band! There will never be anyone that quite compares.
this is what we listened to in our younger days decent rock.
First time I hear of this band (born 1990), but this made me so fucking happy!
Check out their whole catalog
Fan here since 1971
Classic hard rock at it’s best 💜
Deliciously lethal in the best possible way !!! Awesome band, love the way Tony´s guitar screams. . . It just doesn´t get better than this. . .
Budgie - Anytime...everywere...forever. Great Band and those years. I was born in 1962 in eastern side of Iron Courtine. Thanks of some radio stations we had a chance know good rock music. Budgie was and still is very popular in my Country.
Born in US in 62 and never heard of em until 2015, U Lucky!
Robert Szymani
- I'm a UK 1961's baby and with 3 older brothers who always had them playing somewhere so grew up with Budgie. 50 years later, I'm still listening to them. They never seem to get old unlike a lot of other, so called, "more popular" bands.
I was born in 1980, first time heard of them thanks to Metallica. And... internet. I love them ever since! And yes, I've discovered they were/are very popular in our country :) cheers

But now I'm a Budgie fan through and through !
How did these guys dip under the Greatest Rock Radar .British Rock wow we have to be proud of this band they are awesome.!!!!!
I love them much more than Zep.
Good thing about Budgie is, most of their lyrics don't mention" baby, baby" in every verse...
@@Malegys nor does he sound orgasmic in every line. Just good ole singing.
@@tyronejefforeillyramirez7961 exactly & as far as i know, they didn't rip-off dead blues singers or their opening acts either.
@@Malegys I suppose your right but that's the quirk of the bands identity ie dio with nigh on every song with rainbow in the lyrics 😂😂😂
I just dig Budgie. I love how they portray budgies as a top Alfa predator on their cover
Believe it not those birds on their covers are not budgies, they’re some sort of raptor, bird of prey !!
First concert was Budgie in 1975. Totally blown away. Loved them. Still don't know how they were so underrated. Great dogs. Tight as ...
Hey Metal Happened and bands like Budgie , Kansas, etc went by the wayside LONG LIVE BUDGIE!!!
Lead guitar singer died this year, this one big hit in the day. 1970.
This is some of ROCK AND ROLL that will never be denied as some of the BEST in the history of the world of music ! !
I. Am. Obsessed. With. This. Song. PERIOD
First time I heard Zoom was in early 70's on an Underground Radio Station in West Palm Beach FL. Went out the next day and found the album. Very underrated rock group. Certainly in the race with bands like Deep Purple, etc.
When Tony does the pick up switch stuff on the intro. My mate said the cd's jumping. 😞
Rip Burke ❤️☮️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Just too good for words. Insane. Shame on the music industry for denying their fame. 🤘🏽🎸🎸🤘🏽
What part of reality chokes you?
Hall of double Fame.....
They have us. They are growing in popularity slowly but surely. Will be legendary status by the end of the decade.
That song is epic
Awww crap now I gotta go though this band's back catalogue too :-D
Enjoy the journey!
Just a CLASSIC!!

RUSH is Canada's Budgie. Just not as good, not even close to Budgie.
They were before Rush
Yeah, I love both!
Rush we're never as good as budgie
Some of their stuff was bfore it's time. People were not doing that back then.
Very, very underrated band.
