i need this video coz I was so dumb painting my bookshelf too dark when I have white walls lol. the contrast is sooo bad that I need my bookshelf in white now haha. thanks for making this
Fab demonstration ") showed me a good few tips on how to use a paint brush and roller. which I normally use a paint roller most of the time when am doing jobs around the house. I carnt wait to get started on my old pine dressers to chic them up.
Thank you for this video. I am working on a coffee table that I need to redo. The bottom/legs of the coffee table have been painted with midnight blue. I am now want to use blue pine on top of it after I have sanded it. Do you recommend a transitional code for what I am describing here? Thank you for the answer!
Do you "use" more paint when you use a roller? And, this first color, its kind of primer let's say, before using another color , like pink or champagne over an existing dark color?
If I'm painting a big armoire, would I want to stick to one tool only? Meaning could I use a roller and a brush? Or would that give me different/incongruous looks?
I have a tall black dresser I want to paint a sea blue color to give it a bright beachy look. Should I first use the white paint then go to the blue to cover the black? I will definitely need to use the roller since the dresser will need a lot of paint to cover. Thank you!
Anyone know if there is any bleed through when painting cabinets with a Cherry Mahogany stain over oak? Would I need to use Bin shellac based primer first before applying this paint? I am very confused!
@@FusionMineralPaints But the paint is an extra product as well, and it costs more. Your saving money to do one layer of primer and one layer of paint. Instead of 2 layers of paint. Because the primer is cheaper than the paint.

Hi Maggie - I'm the owner of The Painted Attic in Halifax, NS and we're a Fusion Retailer. Where are you located and I can help you find the closest retailer. :)
You really need an overhead camera for your videos.
That'll be a big feature in our upcoming videos, you'll have to be sure to check them out!
Yes I agree
Thank you. I saw a lot of videos and none of them explained them like you did on here.

Yes using different tools no matter what paint will result in a different look.

You won't need to use the white, just 2 coats of the blue will work wonders!
@@FusionMineralPaints Super! Thank you.
Thanx, are you using chalk paint?
Fusion Mineral Paint isn't a chalk based paint but an acrylic based. No need to add a topcoat more information on our blog fusionmineralpaint.com
Thanks
Great explanation x

YEs you should use BIN shellac 123 primer if you're worried about bleed through based on your wood species.
can you use it n fabric?
Yes you can!
Do you put a top coat over your fusion paint? I am painting my oak mantle.
No need! Fusion has its own built-in acrylic top coat! Super durable!
Can you use mineral paint for a fire place brick
Yep! We like to water it down for the first coat because the brick soaks up a fair amount.
Why wouldn’t you prime first to get better coverage, if you’re going to do three coats of paint anyhow?
Primer would mean an extra product you would have to buy, there is no benefit to it in this case.

I couldn't see the paints. These writings are popping out exactly in the same position where you are painting.
