Two sharpest knives I've ever gotten from factory are Cultrotech Slim and Rockstead Higo. Both could cut anything with ease, toilet paper, wet paper towels, hht, tissue paper, cutting circles in phone book paper. W8sh i had a bess tester to test out the sharpness.
Mickie might have won with the taste of his fish but yall both lose when the food poisoning hits... LOL I'm just playing great video guys I love this style of blade!!!
Hi DBK, thanks for another great video. Please get hold of a BESS edge-on-up sharpness tester. It would be great to better quantify the sharpness of the different knives and truly compare them. I would really be interested to see this
DBK!! I've loved your channel for years BUT you guys should actually go do a bushcraft trip! I know you've addressed this in the past but you keep hearing about it because we really want to see that type of content. Suggestion: Only bring 3 knives and a series of challenges you need to do. (Don't do this in your backyard forest, take a trip) That being said I think you guys are great and DBK reminds me of the guys from Top Gear. They mostly did reviews and are very funny but would from time to time go on advetures and it would make great content! I don't know... am I way off here?
@@huejanus5505 yup. I have a few knives at 0.004 to 0.010 bte and they cut on geometry alone. Put a nice edge on it with either a system or free hand and they can do some impressive cuts.
Mickie's hobo-style fish was hilarious :D P.S. It is not recommended to make blank shots from air rifles from what I know - a lot of stress to the gun parts.
I've got a challenge for you, the only problem is that it might be shit 😬. As I'm sure you know, UK knife laws are extremely restrictive but given the level of knife crime here, they have to be. What about reviewing the best UK legal EDC? It would mean they would all have to be sub 76mm (3 inch) slip joint folders. I know how difficult it is to find a decent, utilitarian working pocket knife within these very strict parameters, but for people over here it would be genuinely useful. The best I could find was the Boker Worldwide +, which within those parameters I think is the best carver, but I would love the see the top 3 destruction tested. Obviously you'd have to be careful though, we all know that slip joints can be very dangerous to the user. Like I say, maybe it’s a shit idea, but it would help us out a lot over here to have some sort of reliable test and review, and who better to do it than the best knife review channel that there is?
BTW, a good and very easy way to test for a "really" sharp knife is simply paper towel. Any knife that can slice through paper towel (like used in a kitchen -- at least in the US. "Bounty," you know) without the slightest tendency to tear is pretty damn sharp.
Elmax is a great steel, relatively easy to work with and super hard - crazy tough stuff, you can literally smack a convex edged elmax blade into a girder and it'll just lose a little sharpness but be undamaged.
We the people want a DBK bushcraft camping trip.
Agreed
I just want the DBK Knife...
yes
100%
Absolutely! These two need to get out of the back yard and do a little adventuring!
Everything that I know about knives i know it because of you two guys
I love DBK, but they are a bit set in their ways. There's so much awesome stuff in the knife world that they won't ever review or feature.
The shark 🦈 was hilarious 😂
9/10 sharpness?! What would it take for 10, a lightsaber?
Theoretically, a one molecule edge would separate the atoms, not cut. That would probably be an 11 though.
@@huejanus5505 it would be like a 9.5 I think
@@blopayiga6484 And would have to made from powdered adamantium.
Have you guys heard about dual grit grind?
Maybe something like a Japanese chef's knife.
you guys are the big bros I've never had
you guys gave me so much joy taught me somuch
I love you bros
Y'all are underrated at cooking. You could probably pull off a successful cooking series!
New DBK video, my day is now complete.👍🏻💪🏻
I can't sleep so it is 3am and I'm cackling at old DBK videos.
Loved this video! Really a good one again. Had to lough hard with the shark scenes. Also at cooking 😁🤣
I am trying to dial in my laugh like Mickie! What a hilarious video!
Hey. A gonna give MB a Big thumb up for his fish cooking skill. That how a bushcraft boy does it ....... Bang bang MB.
3:22 what a masterpiece. Lol
Awesome Video this week👍👍👍

I love how this show is evolving!!
I love the "cook of", the little cooking competition. I would love to see more of this content.
We will!!
I love your videos, thanks!
Yes think Mikkie B was the best way of cooking the fish so well done Mikkie. Well done guys on another great video. Keep up the good work guys.
my day is also complete now, thanks dbk!!!!!
I just bought mora 106 and gransfors bruk wildlife hatchet :)
Nice! Love my gransfors bruk hatchet, it's got tons of power for its size and the steel is heat treated so well, it refuses to chip.
You boys are absolutely classic!
Love your work ♥️😎👌
Love your vid's gents, Big fan.
So what would get 10/10 for sharpness?
Great review and enjoyable to watch as always..... Guess the fish was not shark.....👍
I am in shock, Mikkie made a more yummy dish! By the way, also thank you for introducing me to MS Knives, until now did not know about this company.
I’m digging this one. Awesome stuff 🔥🔥
I’d love to see you get your hands on a BBB Handmade custom. That mans grinds are bonkers
Mickie might have won with the taste of his fish but yall both lose when the food poisoning hits... LOL I'm just playing great video guys I love this style of blade!!!
A shark?!
That makes perfect sense!!
I love how they always cook at the end lmao. Another banger video
Today was a great video. 3 thumbs up!!!
You guys look sharp today

Is nobody else gonna mention the obvious???? That was one damn fine and very realistic inflatable shark, super impressed.....(R.I.P Sharkey)

Man, I yearn for that Dulo knife in k390.
Reminds me of TRC knife also from Lithuania
Do the Condor Bushlore, just because it looks like a spear
Mickey be acting sus all the time but I love your guys channel lol you guys are the best
More general mikki vs Boris please
Fart noises from sliding off the blow up shark are the best.
You guys found the ultimate bushcraft kitchenknife
Cool video🤟🤟
You guys are over the top hilarious
I found the best ever for sharpness is the Mora, It's the Allround 8.1" for real I own over 100 Moras!!
I also have a wicked edge. I feel like anyone can get a wicked edge at 15°
The thickness behind the edge has a lot to do with it too.
@@huejanus5505 yup. I have a few knives at 0.004 to 0.010 bte and they cut on geometry alone. Put a nice edge on it with either a system or free hand and they can do some impressive cuts.

Oh I get it
Shark Attack
To anyone wondering, in order to get a 10/10 for sharpness it's got to split atoms.
Can you guys review the esee izula it’s 1095 carbon steel
No destruction or edge retention test?
Perhaps you guys should start a review page of blow up pool toys. The constant body slamming of the shark was hilarious!!! 🤣
Check out bone tactical knives he's using 1095 and make a curved strop for karambits
* shaves off a slice of grape the thickness of a human hair *
Sharpness: 9/10
🤔
"Ahar, ahar, ahar! That was joke!" -mikkie being goofy as usual lol
Summer is almost here? It's three days after the solstice 🤣
Summer starts at the 21th of.jine but we filmed this 2 weeks ago. Little miscalculation on when the video would go online :p
Have you guys tested the Tops Frog Market Special?
Иногда я задаюсь вопросом зачем я их смотрю не зная английский, а потом запускаю видео и все встает на свои места :D
Жиза, друг🤣
in 10! With love from Russia!
Love your vids, can't wait for your knife, had a shite Thursday until I watched this cheers lads smiling like a Cheshire cat

I kinda want to see them do more western knives

*VERY GOOD*

Haha thanks!
A blank shot is not good for a spring loaded rifle but for a pcp it isn’t that bad! Cheers mate!
@@DutchBushcraftKnives everyday learning! Thanks! :)

Yea we actually did that and this knife could do that! But we forgot to put it in the edit.. cheers man!
Soft wood is more difficult to split and would be more impressive for batoning
Awesome vids dudas. When are U gonna do a new airrifle vids
I am awaiting the day I may see a 10/10 on one of the category types. :D
Review winkler knife
Weekend Alligator!!! F.... Yeah
Hey where can I get that shark float😂?
Looks like a fighting knife to me.... Seemed to be a nice one tho.
Is it still possible to get the DBK knife on Kickstarter or is it permanently closed?
You guys crack me up lol
‘You’re a nasty fish’. Genius. That’s my favourite put down…
Check out the FOX 140XL! Do it! I wanna know.
That was an interesting way of cooking fish in coals.
Who could ever prepare the best fish than The General Mikkie?
How the hell could Mikkie beat Maarten at cooking, with what he did😲
Well I think it’s obvious…..
He pulled a friggen’ miracle out his arse.
Martin I don’t get it either brother.
As usually, sick and demented - in other words, Dutch (-: I like you guys!
Shark time 😂😂
8:07 Martin looks high as F .
Könnte mir gefallen!!!
It's very sharp from the factory, but what would it take to sharpen it to the same edge once it looses it'ts sharpness ?
Not that much I think because its elmax! Thats pretty ok to sharpen!!
I literally thought you were gonna break out into the “baby shark” song when you jumped on the shark, lol.
Yo Maarten, je rockt het BLADEHQ shirt
@1:23 name that folder knife.
Fällkniven Tre Kroner folder:)
