I met him at a guitar clinic in CT back in 1989 right when this cd came out. It was awesome to see it played live and to get some of his guitar tips. A great album that has stood the test of time for decades!
And let’s not forget Blues was only 18 years of age when this was recorded. Dude was his own thing even then. His Plaid album still hangs with any of the Shrapnel shredder albums of that era when only the best made it to Varney’s label.
How did I not know this guy being a guitar player>? I'll never know, but this is just as good as anyone I know today. Including all my heroes! Sat, Vai. ect, need I say more?
One of my favorite albums ever. Let's not overlook Joe Franco as drummer. Saraceno and Franco are such great musicians and play well off each other. Technical, catchy and damn good songs!
What the heck!! I grew up listening all the guitar heros but I've never heard of this guy! And now in the early morning youtube surprised me with this great music. Very tasteful nut just virtuosity. Similar to Satriani but has his own style. Gonna check his other works for shure.
Great post Bro,,,, i very love it,,,,, now i understans why he make a so much more good job in Poison than this damn Kotzen ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i love Blues Alots,,,,
Yo! It's the dude that replaced Ritchie Kotzen after Ritchie was caught banging Rikki Rocket's girl and got ejected from Poison. Fantastic player. Sounds just like Ritchie.
A fantastic release, definitely a left turn from much of the shred albums coming out at the time. Blues had a great melodic sense at such a young age, probably my favorite of all his releases, and there were some really good ones.

holds up beautifully over 30 years later, this is a masterpiece.
Over 30 years actually

Bro ♡ ..
This, the first Michael Lee Firkins first one and Vinnie Moore's Meltdown are so underrated.
I have to agree with fellow commenter: THIS is a masterpiece and new to me ❣️🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥

Fantastic player.
Sounds just like Ritchie.
Alright who turned on the time machine. I grew up in the late night streets of Sacramento listening to this groove. Summer nights at 90degr3s.
listened to this album on a K7 tape in 1991, school time 🤟

SARACENO, PRE plaid pants!!! So underrated!!! Thanks M.M

Love blues, very under rated
was waiting for an "underrated" comment...why would you want to write the same meaningless thing a billion have written before you? Why?

I like this much more than the Plaid album.
Like a cross between Gilbert and Nuno.

So much great guitarwork from this era, and then Kurt Cobain made it cool to suck at playing your instrument..
