It is easy to replace the cable inside the retractable cord reel in the DC54 cause so many people cut the cords on good vacuums

It’s a more involved repair process sadly, been a while since I worked on one of those so I can’t remember how to get the cable off one of those

Hello. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 has a black plastic behind the roller. The plastic seats in between the rollers and the airflow, I have seem videos of people removing it and supposedly improve airflow, have you ever try that?

Hi, yes whilst it can help to improve the airflow, it also makes the machine struggle to pick up heavier debris like rice, etc. The purpose of that plastic piece is to create an airpath to concentrate the airflow in that area to vacuum away what has been picked up
