I had had the chance to deploy with her although in a different unit. From the moment we met she could tell am Kenyan and she took me in. She created a community of African soldiers who met regularly in that deployed setting where we gave each other tips and tricks of surviving the military based on our experiences making us all feel like we weren’t alone. Thank you very much Major, I hope you continue to leave your mark wherever you go

Very inspirational.. USA is an amazing country but so long as you cut off destructions and work hard everything is achievable.

The KCKC center is a great idea. The people involved have a lot of positive energy. The only sad and unfortunate thing about it, is it continues Kenyan tribalism. It is not only them, there are a lot of tribal Kenyan groups like this all over America. It is sad. It would be great if Kenyans were just Kenyans and not defined by tribe first. Tribe should be a very secondary thing that identifies a Kenyan. Future generations have to solve this problem about the great country called Kenya.

You are dead wrong.... so, you want people to affirm a colonial company company called British East Africa that morphed into a country called Kenya as a true identity of nations (you called tribe).. in fact, project Kenya should be collapsed.

Very brilliant IDEA at the kckc Kansas city event but quite dissapointed that there was no Kalenjin food the Mursik, Kalenjin traditional attire that would really ispire the young ones. The purely meat Diet from GMOS wasnt encouraging

Congratulations Mary and KCKC. Anyway, Kenyans abroad continue to be cocooned in their tribal enclaves. I hope our kids learn to embrace a national identity called Kenyan and less tribal.
