Something I'd add is that size doesn't matter. I used to get excited on big rubs until I got video of smaller 3 yr old deer making large rubs(for reference where I hunt in northern Canada, those bucks are still young and common). One time I drove around the corner and found a young deer rubbing on a power pole. You really have to investigate the rub and see if there is a wide area where a large rack is nicking other parts of the trunk or other brush to get a sense of the deer's size.
