So beautiful
Both perfect mobile setup to drag a youth along for the hunt climb up sticks set stand for kid send life line down to him to hook into set platform just below treestand behind tree and coach him thru it
Great techniques Mr Kenyan& mr.peterson HAPPY YEAR 🎉❤
If I ever win the lottery, this is my garage! The money spent in organization, bins, shelving etc is WAY out of reach for most! Beautiful set up. Plus living in Bozeman? You are doing well brother! Congrats! Love this for you!
Iv'e hunted mature bucks for 35 years and I have realized not only they're killable but the have 3 different types of bucks. Agressive, Neutral and skittish. I hunt them all different by scouting for them and learning their pattern. While doing this I was able to harvest 34 Mature bucks with my bow. I have so much more to say, maybe later. Ice man
I may be wrong but i think they walk
They use every bit of cover or terrain to hide there movement.
These guys sound like they skimmed Wikipedia on this topic then kissed before this video. Use real hunters for the video smh this ain’t the meat eater I used to learn from. Waste of time. “You can tell what it is by the way it is” morons.
Brent is out of his dress code. Who is this imposter
Practice practice practice.
Great video. I've got a lot of friends who sit over food plots and wonder why I consistently tag mature bucks. I'm not at the food plots because the big bucks aren't. Nor am I in a stand usually. Especially not a stand that's been there a long time. If I am not hunting on the ground which is rare im hunting a stand I put up that day. Right now I'm hunting a couple miles back on public land in a doe bedding area that is close to a fresh cutover that has woody browse. Deer to for that kinda stuff especially in the late season. Now I've been sitting a while seeing does consistently. Eventually the one I'm after will show up before the season closes.
How is it a fresh cutover if it’s a couple miles back? Didn’t the logging equipment need a road to get there or am I missing something?
@osar2870 there's a logging road coming in the backside they had built that came in from the road on the backside of the property. You can't get into it from that way anymore though. The road was destroyed by floods shortly after they logged it.
@osar2870 this time of year deer feed on more woody browse than anything any green tender shoot or sapling is food if you got a couple red oaks that still have acorns on the ground it's a plus.
12 ga does better than 20 ga in every measure. Less you are talking about the weight of the gun. Its just a marketing ploy to sell you another shotgun
Haha I also realized I was tracking the wrong direction for my first 3 years hunting, I kept hunting mornings because they were leaving a food source and then found out they were actually heading there in evening
Mark - eat a cheeseburger. You've lost too much weight bro..
Wanted to watch, but he lost me right at the beginning when he said that a 20 recoiled less. 1 ounce 12 ga loads will recoil less than a 1 ounce 20 because the gun weighs more. Heck you can get 24 gram 12 ga loads probably less. Heck the British have known this for over a hundred and forty years! Somewhere they are going to tell you that the guns can be made lighter in a 20. That is true. But heck you can also get 6 lb 12 gauges so that isn’t really an advantage either. Only reason to buy a 20 over a 12 is because you want one. No justification necessary. Which is good because there really isn’t any advantage and a couple of real disadvantages.
in river valley woods with lots of steep hill's they travel in the bottom portion of the hill when then suns going down and in the mornings they will favor the top portion so they are catching the most thermal's. people need to realize a deer doesnt see the world like we do they see a big portion of the world through there nose. i mainly hunt public ground in iowa and you would be surprised at how some of these big public buck's are bedding in place's you would never imagine or in place's that in some case's makes it almost impossible to even set up on him. i hunted this one deer for 3 years on public that i never saw more then a few glimpe's of him from hundred's of yards away or on trail cam. then one day i finally figured out how he was able to slip me no matter what i did. he had 2 different bedding area's each with a few option's for wind adjustment where he could watch the parking area for the public ground and watch you walk in then slip out the back once you go by. i gave up on that deer lol. people think on public its always the further you go in the better but somtimes its those weird spot's that can be right next the a parking area or a road that nobody ever hunts that thse big deer will hide in because they dont get messed with in there
Great video with useful information. Thanks!
This was a great video, thank you guys
Poor editing. Brent is clearly kicking out 20-gauge shells when the title says 12. Very entertaining though. Love y'all's content.
What a douche!
she's absolutely beautiful
Appreciate your support
Deer, especially bucks love edges. I've killed many bucks on Public Land in MI. with mock scrapes along field edges. Bucks can cover more ground along edges than they can into a dense woodlot. Don't overthink WHY scrapes are along field edges.
Brent sent me.
Bring back the 16 gauge to popularity and this conversation is over.
20 ga. for women and children, and 12 ga. for men.
16 guage is better than both the 20 or the 12 ❤
At least you’re having fun!!
The number of pellets is the only difference between the two. You're not getting more range. You're not getting more power per pellet. You're getting more pellets on target, depending really on the load and the choke. Apples to apples, the larger SHOULD have more pellets on target. On big airborne birds that might make a difference, but anything else? Not really. More people are using .410 for turkey every year.
2 of the best at the company! My Beretta A400 Xtreme first gen waterfowl, still looks like brand new after about 11 years…and man it can take some serious abuse from the elements and field. Some basic maintenance after hunts and it will look and function like brand new for generations to come!!
I’ve shot 20g for everything since I was 13. No complaints from me , still got today
I prefer to boil skulls and tan hides. Shoulder / full mounts are cool, but to me part of the process is walking up on that harvest and admiring it in the moment. It makes every harvest all the more special. That being said, I do have a whole pheasant mounted lol
😮😮😮
and still lost
bro moved the goal post lol
You don't know thick until you hunt Florida.
Facts
12 or 20? Why not go between and use a 16 GA problem solved lol
I'd sit in a duck blind any day with Brent
I have that gun, big mistake. Out of the box it didn’t cycle so I sent it back to Beretta at my expense to have fixed. Took over a year and they just sent a new one to my ffl, after about a dozen phone calls. They didn’t reimburse me for the background check either. Needless to say that’s the last Beretta I’ll ever buy. My option, Auto loading shotguns 12ga all the way. Everything else I go 20
Both are good however there are things a 12 will do that a 20 simply cannot do and a 12 will do everything the 20 can.
I’m a bow hunter so I’m hoping someone can answer my question: does lead accumulate in that field with every shot and is anyone concerned about that?
it there isn't enough of it to hurt anything. However, with waterfowl ducks eat things that look like the pellets we shoot so that's why we use non-lead pellets.
Radiation is a natural occurrence. Lead comes from the earth. Every part of a firearm comes from nature. We don't use rocks for knives anymore neither it's called progress.
Clay and Brent! Man some good ole fun people right there!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” confess Jesus as Lord know he died on the cross, but was resurrected, and by the grace of God we go to heaven because we all deserve hell and we need to turn from our sins and confess them to be reborn
Amen
WARNING FACTS: The facts are 12 gauge and 20 gauge are running the same velocity providing the ammo is the same. This means they both shoot the same distance. The only difference is the size of the pattern due to more shot!
Bingo! It's humorous that people believe a 12 gauge will "shoot farther" than a 20 or 28 gauge, even when the velocity and shot size are the same lol. More pellets in the pattern, yes. But not faster or with more energy.
@@reverend434it’s effective range is farther with more shot though.
A different way to look at this is with equal pellet count, the 12 gauge can shoot larger pellets at the same velocity. This is mostly a buckshot philosophy, but does apply to birdshot it’s just more muddy. An example is Monarch 2 3/4” 20gauge 1 buck will shoot 9 30 cal pellets, where the 12 gauge equivalent will do the same with 33 cal 00 buck pellets.
How much do y’all spend on a saddle setup? What saw was $500 gets your saddle and platform, you gotta spend another whatever to get up the tree.
Y'all know they make 16 gauge for a reason.
whens the last time you saw 16 gauge in store or a shotgun chambered in 16 in store? Personally ive never seen anything other than 12 20 and 410 in my local stores.
@@joshuawhite1692your local stores suck then lol 16ga and 28ga is easier to find than 410 these days
@thebajablaster222 very rural area. Don't know too may people that even own something other than 12ga. Kind of a do all firearm here. Most people aren't shooting more than 50 yards for deer so there's really nothing here you can't hunt with a 12ga.
What is the skeet launcher?
28ga 🤷♂️
28 gauge rules them all
Brent actually won the best of 20 with 16; Clay had 15.
