This dude is going to be a HUGE influence in the world of traditional bow and arrow making. Young legend in the making! Definitely putting out some of the coolest content and most impressive craftsmanship out there! 💪 Keep it up Bear!
Very impressive young man. I can't wait to see the result of his work this fall when he hunts out of the bear pit. Clay and Misty have done good work raising this boy.
Your cutting your cane too early, the sheath that grows on the cane shaft needs to fall off. Ideally second year of the shoots life. That papery husk needs to be dry and start falling off. The first year of the shoot it is not good for arrows, it hasn’t had time to mature and harden up, the second year when that papery sheath drys starts to fall off and the shoot branches out. River cane is a fantastic arrow material or native bamboo. Great videos from Ryan Gil (hunt primitive) and clay hayes. They should help you A lot Dacite is found in Oregon and not sure where else. You want smaller stone point for stone arrows in the 60 grain or less range for. Billy Berger and thad beckum have great videos on this. Arrow spine is important as well. Good luck brother

Clay and Misty should be proud.
This is what you wish all young guys were into, learning skills rather than buying gadgets.
Inspired.
