I love the implication that the buggy and muggy balls aren't something one of Buggy's crew made that he got credit for, but that buggy himself made them and was able to perfectionate them good enough to reduce the size THAT much I love buggy so much

You have to give credit to Buggy for this honestly. Those cannonballs wiped out a large portion of Orange Town, which is pretty big in itself. He's managed to make it fit in his shoes, and with his Devil Fruit he can detach it and aim the ball freely. Given that this is Buggy we're talking about here that's pretty clever

I just watched a few episodes of this show recently. It’s crazy how much the art style changed. One of the only episodes I watched was the guy with the buggy ball. That was when he met the navigator girl who really likes treasure.
I can't believe I actually grew to love Buggy over the years. I really like his pony tail design during this arc, makes him look a bit more badass. And the Muggy Ball is a badass scene itself 💯
Given that Luffy was able to bounce back a Buggy Ball like he would a normal cannonball, it's no surprise that it didn't leave much of an impression on him. Still, credit where credit is due, Buggy's a crafty devil to not only have the same explosive power packed into small pill-sized ball, but also smuggle some into Impel Down.
Buggy made a compartment for a muggy ball in his shoe along with the muggy ball itself... while in impel down. Next he's gonna build a whole iron man suit in a cave with a bunch of scraps.
One of the best One Piece arcs IMO and super underrated! And Magellan was an awesome powerful villain that is one of the very few that have defeated luffy. It’s just too bad most of his screen time was on the toilet 😂😂😂
I think Luffy not remembering horrible things other characters do is his way of giving them a second chance; a path to redemption; another opportunity to become friends.
You know, weirdly enough, that bomb makes Burpy at least a decent level threat on the first half of the grandline. He can't be cut, his speed is okay cause of the fruit, his powers also give a bit of versatility and the bomb gives him power.....
