At first I was worried you’d show me only 1 way, and then I was terrified at the possibility of 3 ways shown. Thank you for quelling those fears and ensuring I’d only see 2 ways to elevate my fries
i love that, in a fried foods myth munchers, they decided paper towels were the better option when taking the fried food out and letting it cool, yet in every episode after, they still continue to use a wire rack for their fried foods to cool off on
Lilly has really come out of her shell and I love it! When she first started coming on these episodes I wasn't sure of her- but I absolutely love her now that she's showing her personality.
Nicole is SOOOOO real for loving Videotape and "in Rainbows" generally. It was my introduction to Radiohead because of the weird viral marketing stuff they did and it's still a really high ranking album to me.
Feel like Jordan wouldn't be the funnest to drink with tbh... I'm not gonna say nothing on her character because I don't know her personally, just vibes based, I don't know if we'd be 100% cool.
definitely not the best *judge*, she's great but she didn't give any reasons why one was better than the other. or talk about the food much at all really
Here in Australia, we have the HSP (halal snack pack), which is doner meats chips(fries) covered in sauces like garlic chilli & barbecue & you can add tabbouleh cheese yoghurt & jalappenos It's amazing
Ok is anyone else thinking that Lily and Josh need a Rocky 4 training montage? Like her working greasy spoons and fast food joints and Josh working in fancy places and injecting meats with concoctions, it would be hilarious.
Watching Lily go from kinda shy and a little reserved to kinda high energy and expressive is a little wild because I feel like the same thing happened with Trevor. This is honestly a really great crew they’ve assembled if everyone feels comfortable coming out of their shell this much.
I love that Lily has really come out of her shell the more she's on the show! Glad everyone is doing so well, Josh must be an amazing person to work for/with.
RIGHT! all of his knowledge about europe and european countries keep baffling me, and indeed as a fellow dutchie its so satisfying to hear Gouda pronounced properly after a lot of "guuuda"s :)
2:23 I did study abroad with some truly amazing people. One of my classmates was an unpaid musician, with the Houston Symphony Orchestra. She holds a Grammy. Her entire quartet holds that Grammy. Her favorite album-and all of her friends’ favorite is Pablo Honey. Professional, orchestral musicians LOVE Pablo Honey.👍🏻🔥🔥🔥💋
The pho fries made me think of this "night market" poutine I've had before. It had ginger beef, kimchi, scallions, sesame seeds, fried wonton strips, gravy and curds. So dang good.
a very long, detailed, fairly great review, "absolutely fantastic experience" followed by "no available street parking i got a ticket 1 star" on the fly is the funniest improv ive seen in weeks goddamnit josh put it away.
As a Viet person, i fully support the Pho innovation. Pho has French influence in the first place (since it's beef broth and cattle didn't exist in Vietnam before the French) so it's already kinda fusion food.
Pho was actually invented by Chinese street cart Merchants in N Vietnam. Using locally sourced ingredents as well as ingredients they brought from China. (rice noodles, hoisin, msg, etc)
@@HiddenAgendas But as we know, Northern Pho and Southern Pho are different. Southern is the most internationally recognized due to the surge of Southern immigrants after the war. As Northern Pho made its way South, its ingredients changed a bit. Then once the French came with cattle, the broth came to be made from beef bones. Now the most widely eaten Pho (even in Vietnam) is beef broth. This style has Chinese, Vietnamese, and French influence. It's a dish that has constantly been innovated and changed.
Most people think Sriracha is Vietnamese and it’s not. It’s Thai, and named after the town of Si Racha, Thailand. But the Sriracha we have in the states is actually made in California.
Honestly last time Josh said something like "we're showing you how to take your fries to the next level!" he just made them into thin spicy raw potatoes that the guest didnt like LMAO
I was prepared to wish for her to lose every mythical kitchen challenge forever, but then she said that Videotape is their best song, so all is forgiven.
"I love how you say, 'peri peri', but it also kind of pisses me off." -Nicole Same. Josh seems like the kind of person who says "Barthelona" but has never been to Spain
Finally, Josh showed up every American by pronouncing Gouda correctly. (even then G). Good job. (it's not an oo like who, it's an ow like how. The G is either like josh did or an H (if you're from Brabbant)).
Before knowing the winner, the fries should still be the star of a dish called Loaded Fries. So Pho one Lily did looks more like a salad and you pick off all the meat and everything to reach the fries last while Josh's you can get everything in a single bite.
Nicole! I hope you see this, I heard you mention you've been trying magnesium but it hasn't really been helping. I have a suggestion! It may be something you already know and I apologize if so. Magnesium wasn't really helping me at first either, I realized I was taking magnesium oxide which is one more for helping digestion, but magnesium glycinate is the one that helps with sleep and anxiety. I switched to taking a 1000mg glycinate and it's been helping a lot since then! Good luck :)
When I make loaded fries, I like to use potatoe wedges, which I know isn't technically fries, but fries are too tiny and have no strength when you add toppings to them.
In fact, I just looked it up, there's a Pho King less than 10 miles from where I live now. The kicker? They sell prepackaged sets of ingredients to make pho at home. They are calling it the Pho Kit.
But she did name Videotape as her favourite song, which I respect the hell out of, it's one of my favourites, too. Wish she'd been able to say which song makes her cry, I'm curious now lol
I'm not a big Radiohead fan, but I respect the hell out of them for how they released In Rainbows. Kind of a pioneering album for digital distribution.
As a UConn alumn, I can absolutely tell you that we scream that we're champions from the top of the nearest roofs! To get to UConn, you have to drive about 20 minutes off the nearest highway and we literally have a sign on our exit that lists all of our championships!!
Pablo Honey is Radiohead’s best album only if they never made another one after it. Creep isn’t even that good of Radiohead song, it’s great if you prefer Smashing Pumpkins. And if that’s the case…

No. Alexia tots are the best frozen potatoes. If you're talking fries, specifically, Alexia rosemary fries are amazing--you just have to add some extra garlic and salt (though, I prefer using Penzey's Smoky Season Salt).
Mindy simply replying with "Lily, you've changed" was so unnecessarily funny
She's definitely become more and more Josh like as she gets more comfortable
@@ZBixby I feel like every chef in general becomes more and more like josh the more confident they get

I agree, not sure my heart could have handled 3 ways and death by "ways of making fries" does not look good in an obituary.

Lily gets more and more psychotic each episode. I remember when they first started and was so nervous and reserved. GROWTH!
