I'm Ukranian and after the war started in February I couldn't watch anything for a month, the first RUclips video I've watched after that was mythical kitchen episode, and it really helped me to relax and reload in some way, I've felt like I'm at home again.

I really appreciate the accurate captions! I have trouble processing audio and prefer to have captions on when possible but because so many channels’ captions aren’t even close to what’s actually being said it becomes more of a distraction than a tool. I’m glad to see some actually good captioning!
I definitely think the birria hotdog would be more delicious, but problem is I don't like soggy buns. I would probably change the the type of bread and toast it.
Yep, definitely would have gone for a toasted bun, especially given the fried crispy taco shells typical to birria. If you want it soggy, let it soak up more of the consummé.
The key for me is that like birria tacos, it's still going normal to dip into the consomme, so it feels like the perfect pairing under the circumstances.

Lily: it tastes like mustard. Josh: omg is that mustard? Lily: no it’s ketchup. Her clapbacks are great. And completely dead pan too. Also I want that rubin hot dog. I discovered how good rubins are last summer.
In college, one of the meals I'd make for myself if they're wasn't anything I liked in the cafeteria was a "Reuben dog." Hot dog with Swiss cheese, 1000 island dressing, and sauerkraut. Seeing Nicole and Vi make a Reuben dog brought back great memories and made me want to make one again!
A local restaurant basically did a pastrami reuben in a hotdog, with caraway rye bread that was toasted in V for the dog to rest in, the dog was actually made from pastrami, and then for the sauerkraut, they had charred cabbage which did the trick--it was a divine concoction. Nicole and Vi made me think of that while making theirs.
Who else thinks that the taster should not know which team made which dish?
Jordan should always be the judge, she’s the only person that actually knows good food and knows how to actually describe it well
I love how Josh was so caught up in his goat story that he didn't think to mention the massive fist-full of (what I presume was) lard he just chucked into the blender. Story-teller Josh and culinary instructor Josh can't operate at the same time.

The toppings on the Reuben are fairly loose on top and are gonna be falling all over the place. Ideally, you would want to be sitting with a plate underneath to catch what falls. Birria dog is a 2 handed operation, but it's a lot easier to handle and eat, even if standing without a table.

Birria de chivo (goat) is from Jalisco, yes. However, here in LA or the US in general, is not made with beef because it’s easier to have access to. But because its birria that is made Tijuana style. In Zacatecas we make it 1/2 beef and 1/2 pork and its delicious 🔥 it just really depends on the region or state from Mexico you’re from

Most small/med meat processors use trash bags. Not the scented kind though! In the Midwest all of them use it. It's considered sanitary, because the plastic is as clean as ziplock bags. Plus your usually cooking the meat. Tell the butcher how it should be wrapped.
