Nicole never having a Chili Dog makes me want y’all to do a First Foods series where people eat things they’ve never eaten.
I didn't get a taste of my favorite food-saba nigiri, or "mackerel sushi" in English-until I was 27.
I wish a camera could've been there to capture first my delighted reaction and then my subsequent order of about 5 more plates of it at the all-you-can-eat joint I tried it at.
@@SimuLord I can appreciate that. Broiled mackerel is also a common thing for breakfast in Japan which is pretty tasty. The business hotels in Tokyo that do breakfast offer both Japanese traditional and Western as a buffet style, so it's nice to switch things up.
Reminds me of the time I told my friend I had never had a Grilled Cheese before. I must have been like 16 years old.
She told me "Drop everything. Make one right now. Or I'll never speak to you again."

Oh mannnn well if you like hotdogs and chili I definitely recommend trying a chili cheese dog. I'm from Michigan where chili dogs are a native thing but there a good time.

I love how Nicole asks Josh "should we palm heel strike?" As if it's the most normal thing to ask in the kitchen next to "pass the salt"

When Nicole was tieing up her hair, and then Josh just started laughing "if we haven't already become a meme." The realization with Nicole was hilarious.
Nicole and Josh should have a show where they travel to different states/countries and visit weird food places like the Olive Garden institute in Tuscany so Nicole can see the world

Like that other guy said he pretty much made the joke with his reaction I guess for Josh it probably took quite a bit of self control to leave it at that though.
There was already so much innuendo in this episode, the tying hair moment was just the icing on the cake at that point.

Even as a fan of sonic, I've gotta say it's not hard to improve the coney. If you ditch the hyper-emulsified mixed meat hotdog with a higher quality all beef hotdog then you've already made a world of difference that I fully support
Nah, I'll fight you on that one. They use the 100% beef for the 6" dog and it just does not taste as good compared to the mixed meat footlong. Not all All beef dogs are created equal is what I've learned.
They sell hotdogs bro...so really do they really need to try and improve anything?? At the end of the day your still eating just a hotdog..

Day 24 of asking for Fast Fancy Food i.e. the opposite of this show, where Josh recreates fancy expensive dishes for cheap, and also deep fries them probably.
He made Beef Wellington from 7-Eleven ingredients last year I think.
His series vs Food Critic is essentially that plus a food critic judging him.
As a native Cincinnatian, hearing my fair city getting a shout out for our most beloved Skyline chili has made my entire day. Bless you, Mythical Kitchen.

SALTVERK SALT!!! I FREAKING LOVE THAT STUFF!!! That birch smoked salt is SO freaking good. Their company is 100% powered by geothermal energy and it's all hand-harvested salt. Everyone should check them out and try their 4-pack sampler with regular, birch smoked, arctic thyme and black lava salts!
I think that goat cheddar was made by Montchevre which is based in Wisconsin, not Vermont. If I may suggest a VT cheesemaker, Vermont Creamery's Bonne Bouche, an aged, ash-ripened goat cheese is incredible.
Holy crap there needs to be way more just Nicole and Josh cooking and vibing episodes, this was great!

It always gives me anxiety when people take a bottle of spice and shake it over a steamy pot... You're getting moisture in the bottle and it can ruin your spices! In that kitchen it's a high turn around for spices but in a home kitchen, just don't do that!
Won't make a difference they absorb moisture from the air anyway the small amount from steam won't change much. They are designed with a shaker cap for a reason.
i agree w the other comment and i feel like they probably use them up pretty quickly. so if they do, it wouldn’t make too much of a difference if any, you know?

@@emilymulcahy insults are so effective at emphasizing how fragile you are. It doesn't make a difference they absorb moisture regardless. They have shaker caps on spaghetti seasoning and other things that would never be used unless you shook them over a pot.

This is so nostalgic for me. When I was a kid my mom took my brother, sister and I to swimming lessons and then we would always go to Sonic. My go to order was a chili cheese coney and tater tots.
Loved it. Looks delicious. The only thing that made me "angry" every time it popped up, was the "Waygu" instead of "Wagyu" every time it was written in any graphic x.x my inner monk went crazy
Josh's description of the chili at the Sonic is 100% dead on. I worked at a Sonic for 2 months 25+ yrs ago and that's how it was made/came in. We heated it up by putting it in those metal pans inside a frier basket that sat in the fry oil. The cheese at my location was a queso from a crockpot the franchise owner brought in as he preferred that over just putting shredded cheese on top.
I feel sorry for Nicole that her first chili cheese dog experience was at a Sonic. That's kinda the low end of the spectrum. They should have and could have found better quality ones elsewhere.
Holy ravioli that is a good franchise owner, I bet queso was sooo good on it! It's the only thing I get from Sonic!

The only problem with how he did food was with the ham n cheese sandwich. He used those small packets of microwavable ham, heated them for 30 sec, tossed on the grill to get the brown, tossed a cheese slice, and then made the sammich.

My mum adds 1oz of unsweetened chocolate to her chili but this recipe is almost the same

@@reinslayer120 It's actually pretty common to add a bit of dark or cooking chocolate to a lot of chili recipes. It really adds depth to the flavor. Doesn't taste like chocolate at all.
