Car seemed really planted in the corners and quick on the straights, that's quite the setup you've built your fiesta too over the years.👍
wow that track looks so good for the fiesta!
Amazing car. beautiful driving.
I so would love to try a track day in my vauxhall corsa vxr
It seems like the turbo's axle is broken . Nice track to drive in good weather. Cheers from Lapland.👍
Cracked a few cylinder liners
Excellent content as always dude!! Was gutted when I heard Rich's engine let go 😢but we know he'll be back bigger and better 😈
Yes he doesn't mess about so what's he's building next will need pretty special 😉
@@Sparkplugsteve oh yes dude it’s going to be nice and working with a legend 😎😎
A car breakdown for the fiesta would be good Steve. What you running etc etc
You guys look like you're having good fun around Oulton Park, is this your favourite track ?
did you notice a difrence here when running the stock pully instead of the pumaspeed one?
Pumaspeed pulley is a waste of time and money
@@Sparkplugsteve could you expand your opinion. When reading about this it's just suppose to be light weight and make less drag some people with lower power see an increase in response and some sed the difference is like turning the ac on and off witch is noticeable.
@victor swietochowski the weight difference is negligible as oem is also light alloy
@@Sparkplugsteve so you dint notice any difrence?
@@victorswietochowski3348 no nothing
Hey Steve.
Did you ever concern fitting Eibach front and rear anti roll bars?
Thinking about fitting them on my FiST, but interested in your opinion. - it surprises me that you dont have it yet.
Thank you
I have a rear one but i would never upgrade the front one as that will only cause understeer.
Yes. But on the other hand, if you increase it front and rear and keep the same ratio between them, it should not affect under or oversteer.
It should only decrease roll. So i’m thinking that this is what eibach tried to do here..
and in my opinion under/over steer ratio on stock suspension is already well balanced.
I respect your opinion, thats why i’m asking. Only to get knowledge from more experienced :)
@Dominik Mugerli I suppose it would depend on what your suspension mods are but for me it's a big no no to upgrade the front roll bar. I'd rather stiffen the springs as a roll bar crates lift on the inside wheel reducing its grip
Steve - what do you think are the common reasons for engine failure on track? Seen a couple fail now
Richards cracked the liners and It would seem oil then passed the rings as the bores lost their shape. Why this happens is the cylinders just can't cope with the cylinder pressure of so much power is the only answer I have. I'm hoping running water methanol keeps things a little safer for me but only time will tell.
I believe this is more common when the tuners push the ignition timing too much. Might not be the case this time but most big named tuners in the fiesta scene push them too much chasing numbers.
Where was the engine failure, I was expecting to see it fail 🤷♂️
Did you not see the smoke come out a turn 2?
Being spoilt two videos so close ! Did you sort the , "running too cold" issue ?
Haha. It wasn't the temps causing the power loss its the boost solenoid. After I did more investigation I realised I was wrong and nothing to do with coolant temps.
@@Sparkplugsteve Something easy to fix at least m8
That's why I will never tune my fiesta st.
up to stage 2 I'm pretty sure is safe or at least stage 1 / mp215
