  • Might want to turn your volume up a little (sorry!)
My tribute to Twelve. I wanted to make a video on what I think is at the very root of the character.

I'm fairly certain that he punched the wall of byzantium more than just two times let alone once

I think he probably could've saved a lot more if he took the time to go back, grab the shovel, and then use it for a few good whacks before he has to reset.

Clara and 12 were the best written and acted duo ever.
It was the first time on TV that I could really see two people having deep unconditional love for eachother without all that typically cheap tv romance crap. Clearly the best work of the modern show.
But I think what I like most about their journey is how much of a significant impact another person can have on your soul. Capaldis portrayal of the doctors change is beyond fantastic and has never been reached since.. no shade to the other actors, they were also fantastic.

I think I have such a melancholic, nostalgic love for this Doctor in particular that this brought me to tears... I feel things so deeply and have so few others who do as well, but this video... this encapuslates all that twists and turns in my sternum and strangles my heart and eyes to tears and wails for someone so kind and so beloved as he -- the Doctor.

As someone who also feel things very deeply, I can relate. I like it about me though. It means I can feel what others are feeling, even if i don't fully understand their situation. Doctor Who has certainly had it's ups and down throughout the show, but it's always been about what kindness and empathy can do.

Thank you. Thank you so much. I'm in the minority, but 12 is my favorite and the best exemplification of the doctors core, without gimmicks. Thank you for making by far my favorite tribute. The music, the flow, all, spot on. It's a treatus on What the Doctor must always be to remain The Doctor.

You are right and it's even explained in the show what this Doctor is. It's explained by Vastra in his very first episode. "He wears a face as I wear a veil, to be accepted. He trusted you, he lifted the veil and now you are judging him ?"

    Wow that was amazing.
I miss this era of Doctor who so much cuz I remember hating on it when it came out probably cuz I missed Matt smith.
Upon rewatching I think it’s some of the best Doctor who we’ve ever gotten it’s amazing.
And Peter Capaldi was born to play the doctor.

12 was the pinnacle of Doctor Who. 13 was let down by bad writing. She is a great actress. And then came 14. Made everything look and feel so cheap. I am still recovering from that disaster...

I was hoping to find someone had stitched the "A Hell of a Bird" speech together, and this does that excellently.
Aside from that speech, this video remains incredible. So many good moments sewn together to give such a good impression of Capaldi-era Who.

Marvelous! This seriously needs more attention. The main Series 9 trailer has reached 2 million views - this tribute is as amazing as that, maybe even better, and I hope it'll be at least close to that in its popularity. It'd be a bit sad for such a masterpiece to be forgotten...

This is one of the best Doctor Who edits I have ever seen, I think about half of these 57k views are from me. I will say though, the scene at 1:28 breaks the mood if you actually watch the show. Cause that scene is The Doctor having an awkward convo about a kid with superpowers going through puberty and being unable to control his xray vision while looking at people. Always makes me laugh lol
