Life has been all kinds of crap to me lately so I went ahead and made myself an early birthday present (I’m gonna be 24 you guys, 24! Unreal). Just something colorful and fun. I’ve been wanting to do this combination for quite some time now anyway. Lots of transformation and magic sequences, because I can.

Magical girls are actually *strong, bad-ass characters*-- they're constantly in situations where they could be *killed* or become severely injured. They string onto their friends for courage, and they *fight* to render the world's security.
Their powers are at their full potential when they have a burden to tend to or *a life to save*, and they deliver success even though they are generalized as *"cute girls"*.
+Nymphetamine that and I've yet to see a magical girl anime in which they actually receive any combat training. In most shounen anime the protag often has some combat experience (on the streets, from family, from school) before gaining powers, but most magical girls just get thrown into battle straight out of their every day lives (and some of them are like 9-10??) magical girls are metal

k, so I haven't kept up with the magical girl world much but it's awesome to see them actually getting into heavy duty combat unlike much akin to DBZ instead of the old dodge attack, dodge attack then flashy finisher just because they're girls, this is a major step in the right direction that I was not aware existed
hyperpirate357 pretty cure actually first aired in 2004 and has always involved physical combat, so its not really a new thing.

I remember subscribing when my friend showed me your OCD Goth Cowboy Jesus Future Overlord. AMV. Then I went and watched all of your other videos and got hooked into the world of anime. That was in high school my freshmen year about 4 years ago now, and I've always been happy to see an upload! Watching your videos has made me smile and amaze me with how visually pleasing they are, and songs that I loved and hummed in class and blasted at home. I have both you and her to thank for helping me find something I can truly enjoy and get emotional and tense and cry and excited about: Anime!

It has been about 5 years since I followed a few dozen of AMV creators. Since then, I have unfollowed nearly all of them. You, however, are still able to create good videos with proper music/scenes while keeping it all nicely edited together. Always loved your stuff. Keep up the good work!.

The best thing about the Magical Girl genre, IMO?
The villains tend to embody some frankly horrifying things - it's like Lovecraftian horrors from beyond - and when they're the only ones who can deal with it, CHILDREN step up to the plate to educate whatever abomination tries to visit in why you don't pick a fight with Humanity. And win handily, though not always without cost. That's humanity in a nutshell; put our backs to a wall and we'll tear out your throat even if it kills us.

Madoka Magica wishes it was as good as Precure.
The reason why DokiDoki! PreCure/Glitter Force Doki Doki is the weakest PreCure/Glitter Force season ever is because of Mana Aida/Maya Aida steals all the attention and hogging the spotlight, not letting other Cures to develop. And her singing, it sounds just as awful as a circular saw cutting a 2x4 stainless steel board. And Aguri Madoka/Natalie was a random character that appeared out of nowhere and was introduced as Cure Ace. At that point, Regina was already getting close to the Cures and it would make more sense if she was Cure Ace. But no, it's this random girl who we've never see no effort and don't care about. It doesn't help that she constantly lectures the Cures about not doing their jobs properly but then she tried to go and fight Regina all by herself. Even with both Mana Aida/Maya Aida and Aguri Madoka/Natalie's dedication (on top of being both mediocre, poorly written and most hated characters), and little quality of life in general.
