They started in this business so young, watching their stuff now, I was worried they were overworked as kids, I mean do y'all see the sweat during their shows?! But seeing stuff like this I can see they and the other girls from Sakura Gakuin were very well taken care of, wayyyy better than kpop artist at that age. But I still worry about the exhaustion, especially for Yui. I think that's something that could've effected her :///.
In terms of idk, the promotion team, i guess it's doing not so good (now). But the girls do get their own time. They get to live! I'm happy for them and wish them happiness and some rests here and there
I love how Moa reacts to the camera at :18. It's ridiculous how much personality she has. I love Babymetal as a whole, but I especially enjoy watching her perform. She's so expressive and fun.

Sometimes you can forget just how young they all were when Babymetal first formed, then a video like this emerges. These are large crowds they're performing in front of too. Yet despite setbacks and the loss of Yuimetal and dire predictions, 10 years later...
I expect they were Japan is a very traditional values country the parents often take good care of the kids regardless of what they are doing. Americans can really learn alot from them.
i think theyve been treated pretty well from what we can tell. if they werent treated well as children, i doubt they would have lasted nearly 10 years now. you can tell that they love what they do especially in their live shows, they look like theyre having alot of fun and they always put on a spectacular show.
I always pray to the Fox God that Yui's motives for leaving were truly about her health, not any other more serious and dark stuff. Y'know where I'm heading. Makes me feel sick, alomst physically. Maybe it's because I know the way K-pop stars are treated, or the fact that Japan has had until not so long ago a very unhealthy culture towards children... Sorry. It's getting way dark and gloomy here. I just wish Yui all the best in the world and that she may be fully recovered by now.
@RaginKavu I've had those worries too but from what I've seen: - the girls were never sexualised, their costumes have always been modest and they've even worn shorts under their skirts - the reasons for forming the band weren't popularity and money, it stemmed more from true passion for music and the desire to create something new - their privacy has been taken very seriously. We see nothing out of character, we know almost nothing about them as people, and when they arrive to venues they're often blocked off from fans and whisked away quickly - they sincerely, genuinely love what they're doing. They've fully embraced the genre and their role in bringing metal back to life, and you can tell watching them that they have a lot of fun - the girls are clearly very close with each other but also have a great relationship with the Kami band. If something was off I just can't imagine they'd be able to perform like they do. They need to have had a LOT of care to flourish the way they have Her last-minute absence from a tour and a massive stint without performing... The stuff she did required massive, massive amounts of energy and strength so almost any health issue would make her incapable of continuing. Not to mention she has long had dreams of a solo career. She's still with Amuse Inc and they seem to have a great track record. I find it admirable that they kept all these details about her health private. From what I've seen, I'm pretty confident that she has been well taken care of and is happy. I hope that's true.

I swear they never looked this young back then.. but I was super young then as well, high school aged. Had to wait until 2014 to see them live in my country, then again in 2017/2018 I think. they've become such a force of nature in the metal scene. Breathing new life into a fairly stagnant genre.

Even just Su-Chan's voice.. watch Road to Resistance Live from the Legend of 1997 show. When the music cuts out her voice is still powerful enough to hold it's own against the crowd of 30,000 hardcore fans. Sheer raw talent, tempered and refined over years of live performances and Tours and Albums. And the other girls are crazy talented with dance choreography and backup vocals.. So damn hardworking as well. One even was forced to retire because she has always had back problems since being a kid - but kept performing for like 6 or 7 years.. Yui I think it was... And that not even to mention the crazy talented Kami band members that provided the instrumentals. Babymetal can only be as good as the some of it's parts. But, it's also a passion project of the original creator/producer/manager of the group. To marry their lifelong love of Metal music with the Kawaii Culture of the Japanese Idol scene. If you only see them as sex objects, that's pretty fucked up man. You're projecting and thus project that view upon others then you're pretty damn misogynistic dude. You should probably stop seeing them that way and projecting that onto others. They just like the vast majority of music industry, or entertainers are more hardworking on their craft than most people give them credit for.

You could see the magic that bonded the three girls at such a young age. It's a spark that hasn't been as bright without Yui.

I would love to see how much Yui has changed and grown up since last time we've seen her. I would love to know that she is happy, that she's doing fine, I'm wondering if we will ever see her beautiful face again, or if we will hear her voice again... I like Moa and Su, don't get me wrong, they are amazing, but Yui was always my favorite. :/

Kami band are great but Babybones was actually cute and match the persona of Babymetal at that time 😁
It's a shame they didn't play live though. That criticism is what brought the kami band in.
