This is a funny string of thoughts to follow. You don't also happen to have an old Bronco and a CNC table? Those are the next videos! I like the weight you listed for that 6x10- you could tow it with a Yugo.
I have the 55im. I've been told I'm nuts for paying that much. I use it as a freezer. 🤷♂️ My truck has a Dometic refrigerator in it already. I've seen guys go and buy small residential freezer and put them in a truck. They don't last being beat up in a big rig. I had a Dometic before. It lives in a lady's truck til this day. She bought it off me. A guy that works for my company has a Iceco. I wouldn't be scared to buy one of their fridges either. He's had his for longer than I've had my 55im. And he does like me, and leaves it on 24/7. We have TriPacs on our trucks so the TriPac will fire off if the batteries are low. Plus the app will tell me if there is anything wrong as well. Another friend bought a Apicool with the LG compressor in it. He's only had it a few weeks. I'm waiting to see how it does.
Dude, I like your style. What is the cost of reliability? Who wants to deal with a broken fridge/freezer at the end of a long work day. Buy once, cry once. Interested to hear how the LG compressor works. I have had some issues with their home appliances. Having an appliance in a dynamic environment (shaking, jouncing, ambient temperature swings) is much different than being in a climate controlled house.
@@adventuredad1180 We live in a pretty awesome time. Technology is getting better. We have handy solar generators that can power a home. You can have a fridge freezer running in the Mojave desert. Basically forever. My next fridge/freezer is going to be a Engel. The longevity of those fridge/freezers are pretty telling.
Using both sides as refrigerators how many amps does it draw during 24 hours? I know you said 5 amps max when it's running but I wanted to know over 24 hours including idle time. Trying to estimate my battery needs. I think the app shows the amps, if you could check average per day for the last week that would be helpful. Thank you!
Hiker, Sorry I didn't get you this information. I went to check on my fridge app this weekend- it wouldn't work. Sometime in the past week I quit getting charge power- batteries are dead at the moment. I will get an answer once I figure this issue out. Apologize for the delay.
Hiker, I finally stabilized my batteries and got the interior temperature situation under control. We haven't had a night above freezing for over six weeks- I ended adding a small space heater to the trailer to keep the batteries and electronics happy. Here is how much I like the controls on the side of the unit- I hadn't even downloaded the App yet. App downloaded now. Dometic set to cold beer mode- one side 30 degrees, the other 32 degrees. The app reports average Amp hour/hour for each day. The results are provided for each side independently. Based on a visual summation of the two charts my cooler is using less than 1Ah/h(appr .85). About 20.4 Ah per day. I don't know if I am saying all of this correctly. We are still really happy with the fridge. Since I do not use the Bluetooth or Wifi I decided to go with a Dometic CF110 for our next cooler. Best! AD
