I’ve got the CFX55 IM. We found it much simpler to fit one of the rigid ends completely…. then WITHOUT putting the fridge on its side… you can lift the fridge into place while it’s in the upright position. The rest was super simple and took less than a few minutes! I think you should point out that once you’ve put a fridge on its side and then upright again…. don’t turn the fridge power back on for at least 3/4 hours. This is standard practice for any fridge fitted with a compressor as it allows any refrigerant to drain back down to its operating level.
I like Kev's jacket. I personally roll my cuffs up. I think the fridge product adds something too. I was curious about the bottom hexagonal port on this unit when I watched your demonstration and hello and behold when I researched Dometic I found a great outlet for other things to do with camping. Once again Snowys is showing that they are the leader when it comes to do with industry partnerships in the camping and so fourth industries. Maybe you could use this cover to transport injured wild life in emergency situations. Its hard to say I liked it because I loved it.
Kev is wearing an old jacket in this video, Mark, bit of vintage Snowys apparel. :). I'm not sure which port you are referring to, but it sounds like you got your answer. ~ Ben
Best practice is to have a conpy of some kind of over the tray if you're keeping your fridge in there. Its not ideal for permanent or long term mounting exposed in the tray. Having a cover on it helps protect the fridge from UV and a gives a certain amount of protection for the electrics. If you're expecting rain, I'd make sure the fridge is slightly elevated and cant sit in water, and pop a tarp over it. ~ Lauren

@@SnowysOutdoors HaHa cheers man.
Hi there, I have a question. I have a Dometic CFX 95 old version. It’s a blue one. Does the cover fit on a CFX 95 old version? Thank you
It doesnt, sorry!
~ Lauren
Very helpful - wish the zippers were more robust with the stress put on them to put the cover on, but of course that isn't your fault.
We haven't had any negative feedback with respect to the zippers, Jenn, I'm relatively confident is saying that you won't have any problems. ~ Ben
really helpful video, thank you
No worries!

Are these fridges pretty weatherproof? Able to go on the back of a ute tray?

I fitted mine single handed in less than a few minutes… anyone could do it!
