Jawbone by Monica Ojeda hit me in a psychologically horrific kind of way. A young and traumatized teacher trying to get a grip while something strange is going on with a group of girls in her class.
Oooops, The Mermaid's Tale had totally slipped off my radar again, thanks for the reminder that I really want to try that! I just finished Model Home by Rivers Solomon and I think that is exactly what you are looking for in your horror books, very much similar in its approach to horror as The Reformatory!
I really liked Hellmouth, I didn’t enjoy his other book Lancelot however I would love to see recs for fantasy romances! It’s a genre (to me) that’s been saturated with so many abusive relationships portrayed as something romantic (looking at you Rhysand) I just can’t stand the ones that are popular. Juliet Marillier and Sharon Shinn are the only authors who does romance well, but they’re older authors, if you have any recent recs I would love to hear them
Good to know as I have Lancelot, have owned it for years, but never picked it up. You got it re Fantasy Romance! Let me have a think on it and I'll compile a list. Watch this space!

This sounds amazing. Added to my list. Thanks Matt.
Great video as always
I really need to get to The Mermaid’s Tale.

Exactly! Human beings are more scarier than any ghost, vampire or werewolf! Realistic, psychological horror is the best imo!
Agreed! What’s your favourite psych horror?
The first book 📕 you talked about I am about 15 percent into it ❤❤❤
Hope you’re liking it!
@ I am enjoying it
