People don't understand that Tokio Hotel can't be teeny boppers forever. When an artist does something new, it can be upsetting, because change is upsetting. This video has a great mixture of comedy and art. Super proud of these boys for having the courage to do something different.
I don't understand why so many people are saying they don't like the new Tokio Hotel. They've just changed a liitle bit, but that's normal and I think it's a good thing. Personally I love this song, and the others that were released too. Their album is going to be awesome.

Ok here's the thing! If you don't like it then don't come and listen to it and leave rude comments. One thing is giving constructive criticism and another is straight up bashing on them. No one cares anymore if you "miss the old TH" or whatever. I've been a fan since 2007 and I see no problem with them wanting to go in another direction. "The old TH" wrote songs about what was happening in there lives then... do you really expect them to write about suicide, fighting for your rights, and live for the moment forever? NO!! THEIR LIVES HAVE CHANGED JUST AS YOURS HAS! When I was 17 I might have written songs about wanting to break free, but now I'm a mature educated woman about to become a mother to a sweet humanoid. People grow and their situations change. I would expect songs with a whole different meaning such as run, run, run beautiful ballad... love wasn't Bill's priority, but have you thought that maybe Bill is at the point in his life when he might be open to LOVE? THEREFORE chose to write about it? We as a fan base are no longer 14 or 17, but in our 20's now. I feel that as a fan base are being too judgemental towards them for changing directions. I used to not like this song until I attended their concert in Paris 3 months ago.. and this song kills it live!!!!!! They put so much energy and fun into it, everyone was dancing and singing along!! they litterally set the stage on fire!!!! the beat is incredible, despite the video and the lyrics that are bit too simplistic.

I think the main thing people don't seem to be getting with this song is that it was designed to be fun. It has a serious message somewhere deep inside, but they're NOT trying to prove they grew up. In fact, I see this as them trying to be the kids they never got to be. As teenagers they worked hard writing and touring and being responsible and now that they have the privacy in LA that they need they can screw around a little. This is all an experiment and personally, while it isn't what I'm used to and there are certain parts I'd argue over, I'm not displeased. They're artists and they're making what they want to make, and I appreciate it. Besides, with how drastically their sound changes, I'm sticking around to see what else they can come up with. I'm impressed with how they can jump from genre to genre and seem to understand each one differently.

Even if they are "selling out", do you think a band that has been living like rock stars since they were teenagers, will allow their career to die because some of their fans want them to stay a certain way? Toko: He represents their old image that they wanted to display to the media and fans as he is a stuffed animal for Bill's innocent non-sexual image, while toko is also very sexual representing the way tom liked to display himself back then. 2. Missy, Kissy and Sissy: They stand for the "crazy" part of the fandom the ones who always go mad at them and stalk them 3. When toko break up with the girl ===> its Bill and tom asking them some space and time out, but the girl goes crazy and call the other girls and they push each other while theyre kind of celebrating themselves (just like some people right now) until they go after toko with their guns. Toko can barely run away from them. He is just lying somewhere most of the time (if you remember the twins used to tell us that they like just to lie on bed all day as here is nothing else to do) 4. While the girls hold Toko and they shot their bullets (hate) you can see the american flag and two gun shoots ---> the twins moving to LA 5. Then you can see tom on his bike just calmly drumming with his hands to the beat: is the real tom the way he sees himself and then Bill showing that he also can be sexy .

I am honestly disgusted by all the negative comments coming from the so called 'real TH fans'. I'm actually really happy with the direction TH are taking. I like that they are trying out new things and going out of their comfort zone to try and experiment with different sounds. And to all you "fans" out there giving them shit for having a little bit of fun with their music, try looking up Motionless In White. Their newest album is claimed to be for themselves and not for the "fans" because those "fans" gave them shit no matter what they tried to do to please them. Do you want TH to do that? Not give a shit and just do what THEY love? Outcasts When I listened to TH's old stuff back in my younger days, it actually brought out my depression more but also bringing a sense of unity because the music made sense and related to what I felt. I don't pay attention as to how much they're trying to compare to other artists, because I don't see them as anything but TH, that and I've grown with them, it's kinda hard to. This song may not be a perfect example of the "Classic TH", but I'd get tired if they were to have albums continuously following the same feel as "Don't Jump", "Sacred", "Black", etc.

I've been following you for 7 years now and I understand you grew up and changed and wanted to experiment new things (I already got the hints with humanoid) but my honest opinion is that I don't like it. But you have to remind yourself that they have been gone for 4 years and their long absence has caused the fact that they lost A LOT of fans and public attention. Yo estoy difundiendo en la mayor medida posible ésta interpretación, porque no aguanto ver a gente que critica el vídeo sin haberse parado a interpretarlo, de una manera u otra me da igual, pero todo tiene algún sentido aunque parezca que no lo tiene. Yo he visto por internet esta interpretación de @AlienGotAGun y yo creo que tiene mucho sentido. Muchas veces para entender vídeos o canciones hace falta indagar, porque muchas veces puede parecer que no tengan sentido y al final que resulte que calquen la realidad o que sean preciosas. en éste caso el vídeo calca la realidad más que otra cosa. La interpretación es: Tal vez Toko (el peluche gigante azul) representa su vieja imágen, que ellos se separaron de los medios y de algunos fans y que Bill ya no es una imagen inocente y no-sexual. Además Toko es muy sexual, representando cómo Tom ya no es tan así como antes. Missy, Kissy y sissy son la parte "loca" del fandom, las que les acosan y les stalkean. Así que cuando Toko calla a la chica, Bill y Tom pretenden darse un espacio y un tiempo fuera, pero la chica se vuelve loca, llama a otras chicas y se ponen a molestar y a criticar (como mucha gente hace ahora en el fandom) hasta que van detrás de Toko (la imágen nueva de ellos) con sus pistolas. Toko apenas puede huir. él sólo se tumba la mayor parte del tiempo (los twins solían decir que a ellos les gustaba pasarse todo el día tumbados). Las chicas son más fuertes que Toko. Así que mientras las chicas se llevan y disparan a Toko (lo odian) se ve la bandera americana y dos pistolas (que es cuando los twins se fueron a LA) Entonces se ve a Tom en la moto tranquilo haciendo ritmo con las manos. i remember when this music came out and everybody was pissed because it didnt sound anything like the old th. And that is okay. Fans have the right to be sad when a new music doesnt match their old memories. It has happend with every band after the hiatus fase. That being said, i really disagree with the fans that were like "omg their old songs were sooo meaninful and the new musics are about party and drugs and sex and (...)". First of all: Girl Gotta Gun was the ONLY music os Kings of Suburbia that can be consider ""superficial"". People tend to generalize everything when they dont like something. And thats childish. The whole album was an experience and tbh, very good. Feel It All was a amazing song with a amazing video talking about the horrible side of heavy drugs (like rape, death, depression...). Stormy weather really reminded me of the old th. Masquerad was a fucking BOP. People really thought that 30ish man would do the exatly same thing that their 20ish asses would do. Fuck off: these boys are not going throught that sad and depressive fase of the teenager years. They are emotionally stable, dealing with real problems, and thats absolutely natural. Honestly i love the new album. It shows that they are having fun and that they are enjoying making and producing music again. I love Tokio Hotel for them. Im not going to compare them to others artists because everybody has a different style and everyone is passionate about different things. I don't even want to look in the comment section because of all the hate the Aliens are giving. Honestly, I understand to a point, because of the change and their decision to create a new image, and I understand how this can be very overwhelming for people. It is to me too, honestly. I'm gonna be honest, Tokio Hotel got me into rock, and I loved the music they made with the deeper messages and the alternative sound. I still listen to them until this day, and I faithfully waited 5 years for the album. I've been an Alien for nearly 8 years now, and I support the band to the fullest! And I always will. I didn't want to have high expectations to the album, but somehow when you wait for all those years, they go up automatically. And I didn't want them to go into the mainstream pop industry, and I do have a feeling that the album will continue to bring autotune on Bill's voice and a more poppy sound. But if this is the image they want, I will support it, because I do truly believe in them, and their choices. Although the video might be understood differently by people, please stop hating. Keep the shitty opinions to yourselves, and spread some positivity and love. And the song is totally my piece of cake, and I love it! Ok here's the thing! If you don't like it then don't come and listen to it and leave rude comments. One thing is giving constructive criticism and another is straight up bashing on them. No one cares anymore if you "miss the old TH" or whatever. I've been a fan since 2007 and I see no problem with them wanting to go in another direction. "The old TH" wrote songs about what was happening in there lives then... do you really expect them to write about suicide, fighting for your rights, and live for the moment forever? NO!! THEIR LIVES HAVE CHANGED JUST AS YOURS HAS! When I was 17 I might have written songs about wanting to break free, but now I'm a mature educated woman about to become a mother to a sweet humanoid. People grow and their situations change. I would expect songs with a whole different meaning such as run, run, run beautiful ballad... love wasn't Bill's priority, but have you thought that maybe Bill is at the point in his life when he might be open to LOVE? THEREFORE chose to write about it? We as a fan base are no longer 14 or 17, but in our 20's now. I feel that as a fan base are being too judgemental towards them for changing directions.

I think the main thing people don't seem to be getting with this song is that it was designed to be fun. It has a serious message somewhere deep inside, but they're NOT trying to prove they grew up. In fact, I see this as them trying to be the kids they never got to be. As teenagers they worked hard writing and touring and being responsible and now that they have the privacy in LA that they need they can screw around a little. This is all an experiment and personally, while it isn't what I'm used to and there are certain parts I'd argue over, I'm not displeased. They're artists and they're making what they want to make, and I appreciate it. Besides, with how drastically their sound changes, I'm sticking around to see what else they can come up with. I'm impressed with how they can jump from genre to genre and seem to understand each one differently.

1. Toko: He represents their old image that they wanted to display to the media and fans as he is a stuffed animal for Bill's innocent non-sexual image, while toko is also very sexual representing the way tom liked to display himself back then.
2. Missy, Kissy and Sissy: They stand for the "crazy" part of the fandom the ones who always go mad at them and stalk them
3. When toko break up with the girl ===> its Bill and tom asking them some space and time out, but the girl goes crazy and call the other girls and they push each other while theyre kind of celebrating themselves (just like some people right now) until they go after toko with their guns. Toko can barely run away from them. He is just lying somewhere most of the time (if you remember the twins used to tell us that they like just to lie on bed all day as here is nothing else to do)
4. While the girls hold Toko and they shot their bullets (hate) you can see the american flag and two gun shoots ---> the twins moving to LA
5. Then you can see tom on his bike just calmly drumming with his hands to the beat: is the real tom the way he sees himself and then Bill showing that he also can be sexy .

Il s'agit évidemment là d'un clip étrange et inattendu, mais c'est une véritable démarche artistique, avec une réelle sensibilité. Cela donne une nouvelle dimension à leur univers. Ainsi, ils nous surprennent ! C'est super qu'ils essaient de nouvelles choses, qu'ils s'aventurent sur de nouveaux terrains. Ils se font plaisir et je trouve ça génial. Leur vie a changé, leur personnalité a évolué, donc leur musique et leurs clips s'en ressentent forcément. Si vous ne respectez pas cela, vous n'êtes pas dignes d'être des Aliens. Pourquoi s'accrocher à une ancienne image d'eux ? Une image fausse et néfaste, dans laquelle ils se sentaient mal ? (d'après les dernière interview en date). Peut-être préfériez vous leur ancien style, ce qui peut se comprendre évidemment. Mais cela justifie-t-il toute cette méchanceté gratuite ? Tous vos propos injurieux et blessants envers eux ? Okay, I admit it. I am not in love with this video. But I see many horribly negative and very harsh comments shared here and I just feel there is no need for it. So you don't like the video - can you express it in other words than "shit" or stuff? This video is creative, and Bill has said himself that he wants people to create their own story for it. You should interpret this video how you may. I find it.. Strange, is the only word I can express. But they're still Tokio Hotel, they're still our boys, and this video will give them publicity (albeit- maybe not good publicity). And ask yourselves- how must the guys feel when they read these comments? How hard they have worked in the last 4 years and then you come and call it bullshit? Grow up, aliens. Seriously.

They've changed their music style so many times because they wanted their fans to be happy. Outcasts When I listened to TH's old stuff back in my younger days, it actually brought out my depression more but also bringing a sense of unity because the music made sense and related to what I felt. I don't pay attention as to how much they're trying to compare to other artists, because I don't see them as anything but TH, that and I've grown with them, it's kinda hard to. This song may not be a perfect example of the "Classic TH", but I'd get tired if they were to have albums continuously following the same feel as "Don't Jump", "Sacred", "Black", etc.

Ahora veo todo el odio de sus fans a TH con su comeback y me parece gracioso que tambien paso lo mismo con TR. A mi que solía no gustarme TH esta canción me pareció buena y lo visual del vídeo me encanto. Yo creo que todos los artistas evolucionan y cambian y es algo que puede llegar a ser peligroso, pues a bandas así que se toman mucho tiempo para sacar cosas nuevas a los fans nos dejan acostumbrados a una cosa y salen con otra diferente. I've been following you for 7 years now and I understand you grew up and changed and wanted to experiment new things (I already got the hints with humanoid) but my honest opinion is that I don't like it. I won't lie and say it's amazing because it's Tokio Hotel, I will judge you as I judge every other artist. The video is not even that bad, except for the fact that it's ridiculous, but what's the point of those 2 seconds of bill crawling on the floor and Tom riding away on his bike? Honestly, it only makes the thing more awkward, looking like you're trying WAY TOO HARD to prove that you grow up and bla bla. And the song is so empty. Yes a girl taking revenge on his boyfriend, amazing, girls' power, okay I got all that. But the lyrics are so poor. The whole song in itself sounds so poorly made. Do I really have to believe you spent sweat and time on this? And if so, it means you're really out of ideas and inspiration. How come you wrote better lyrics when you didn't have a private life and now that you spent 4 years living your life as you want, you come up with this? Gun gun gun, run run run, is it an album to teach children new words or what? I've never been so disappointed, you used to make such quality music. I hope you will be able to go on with the fans you have left, because at this point I don't even know if I'm buying the album. I can't buy an album if I don't like the music, I hope you understand that. I know they changed, but you can change your style and music, but without being vulgar! But you have to remind yourself that they have been gone for 4 years and their long absence has caused the fact that they lost A LOT of fans and public attention. I just wanted to say that there is an evolution in the music industry and also tips and tricks to make a comeback WORK so of course they have to be a little different to have a bigger crowd ...old fans but also new fans and to reach attention you have to be a little bit provocative. I miss the 'Schrei' aka 'Scream' days of Tokio Hotel. Their early albums were great.
Yo estoy difundiendo en la mayor medida posible ésta interpretación, porque no aguanto ver a gente que critica el vídeo sin haberse parado a interpretarlo, de una manera u otra me da igual, pero todo tiene algún sentido aunque parezca que no lo tiene. Yo he visto por internet esta interpretación de @AlienGotAGun y yo creo que tiene mucho sentido. Muchas veces para entender vídeos o canciones hace falta indagar, porque muchas veces puede parecer que no tengan sentido y al final que resulte que calquen la realidad o que sean preciosas. en éste caso el vídeo calca la realidad más que otra cosa. La interpretación es: Tal vez Toko (el peluche gigante azul) representa su vieja imágen, que ellos se separaron de los medios y de algunos fans y que Bill ya no es una imagen inocente y no-sexual. Además Toko es muy sexual, representando cómo Tom ya no es tan así como antes. Missy, Kissy y sissy son la parte "loca" del fandom, las que les acosan y les stalkean. Así que cuando Toko calla a la chica, Bill y Tom pretenden darse un espacio y un tiempo fuera, pero la chica se vuelve loca, llama a otras chicas y se ponen a molestar y a criticar (como mucha gente hace ahora en el fandom) hasta que van detrás de Toko (la imágen nueva de ellos) con sus pistolas. Toko apenas puede huir. él sólo se tumba la mayor parte del tiempo (los twins solían decir que a ellos les gustaba pasarse todo el día tumbados). Las chicas son más fuertes que Toko. Así que mientras las chicas se llevan y disparan a Toko (lo odian) se ve la bandera americana y dos pistolas (que es cuando los twins se fueron a LA) Entonces se ve a Tom en la moto tranquilo haciendo ritmo con las manos. Es el Tom real, como él se ve. Y entonces se ve a Bill (y la chica que ha escrito ésto no sabe lo que hacía allí, pero yo creo que es una metáfora de lo exclavizado que se había sentido). Ellos parece que no tienen nada que ver con todo el ruido y el colorido alrededor de Toko y las chicas.

i remember when this music came out and everybody was pissed because it didnt sound anything like the old th. And that is okay. Fans have the right to be sad when a new music doesnt match their old memories. It has happend with every band after the hiatus fase. That being said, i really disagree with the fans that were like "omg their old songs were sooo meaninful and the new musics are about party and drugs and sex and (...)". First of all: Girl Gotta Gun was the ONLY music os Kings of Suburbia that can be consider ""superficial"". People tend to generalize everything when they dont like something. And thats childish. The whole album was an experience and tbh, very good. Feel It All was a amazing song with a amazing video talking about the horrible side of heavy drugs (like rape, death, depression...). Stormy weather really reminded me of the old th. Masquerad was a fucking BOP. People really thought that 30ish man would do the exatly same thing that their 20ish asses would do. Fuck off: these boys are not going throught that sad and depressive fase of the teenager years. They are emotionally stable, dealing with real problems, and thats absolutely natural. Girl Gotta Gun was the only "pop-superficial-mainstream" song of the album. Let them alone. And sorry for my bad english (TH COME TO BRAZILLLL)

Honestly i love the new album. It shows that they are having fun and that they are enjoying making and producing music again. I love Tokio Hotel for them. Im not going to compare them to others artists because everybody has a different style and everyone is passionate about different things. I agree that this album is completely different from the last one but im just happy that one of my favorite bands is putting music out again. ❤❤👍💚💚

I don't even want to look in the comment section because of all the hate the Aliens are giving. Honestly, I understand to a point, because of the change and their decision to create a new image, and I understand how this can be very overwhelming for people. It is to me too, honestly. I'm gonna be honest, Tokio Hotel got me into rock, and I loved the music they made with the deeper messages and the alternative sound. I still listen to them until this day, and I faithfully waited 5 years for the album. I've been an Alien for nearly 8 years now, and I support the band to the fullest! And I always will. I didn't want to have high expectations to the album, but somehow when you wait for all those years, they go up automatically. And I didn't want them to go into the mainstream pop industry, and I do have a feeling that the album will continue to bring autotune on Bill's voice and a more poppy sound. But if this is the image they want, I will support it, because I do truly believe in them, and their choices. Although the video might be understood differently by people, please stop hating. Keep the shitty opinions to yourselves, and spread some positivity and love. And the song is totally my piece of cake, and I love it! Not because I want to have the image as a true alien, but because I do really love it! Stay positive guys. If this is what the guys want, we need to respect it. It's been 5 freakin' years! Things change, but we know they'll always be the Tokio Hotel we know and love!
I understand that they're branching out and trying new things, and I appreciate that they refuse to confine themselves to one image. But it still makes me sad to see that they've swapped thought-provoking (if a little angsty) lyrics and music videos that were often visual poetry for lyrics more akin to brain cell homicide and videos that are explicit acid trips. Thank you for trying, but I'll still to World Behind My Wall and Forgotten Children.

I love when a band and the people in it can evolve and grow. Tokio Hotel has only gotten better with time and its sad so many people think its owed to them for Tokio Hotel to stay in time warp and never change. If you think you can find music thats more real than theirs then good luck to you. Fan for life.
