Black should have all Platinum benefits. Platinum should have all Gold benefits. Gold should have all Green benefits. I don't travel much so the Plat benefits don't help me. Ironically, Platinum is not any harder to get than Gold.
This video got a chuckle out of me. I worked in a medium size town in Texas (a little over half a million people) for 11 years. Working customer service at the front desk, I saw a LOT of platinum AmEx cards. I find it strange that many say they've never seen the black Centurion card. I've seen a total of THREE of those. One customer was American, another was British and the third was South African. The card is so thick that I couldn't swipe it through the computer's card reader. I had to connect a different one to the computer to complete the sale! It is very thick and HEAVY. And yes, according to the South African, it does set off the metal detectors at airports!
The interesting thing is this is that most high-wealth people DON'T use these cards, because they don't need them. lol. They are already well-known for their wealth and clout and don't need a card to achieve a "reaction" or perks.
Hey Simon! Great video! Been subbed for a good bit now and you have great videos! Thanks for always keeping it real! Question for you, What are your thoughts on the Visa x1 card? Thanks
I don't think the average person really cards about your credit card. I did get some comments on the design on my platium card but that's about it.. they also said they thought I painted it on there haha.. Also the average person doesn't even realize what the centurion card means.
I’ve had the Centurion Card form the first year it was released. In the very early days, it garnered some attention. These days none. And with Apple Wallet, I rarely use physical cards anyway. It never garnered attention where I’ve had my primary home - Manhattan. Once I got a reaction from a hotel in Ohio lol So truly not sure where you are that you are getting these reactions. I’ve used it in all the boutiques you mention - no one cares.
I once left my platinum card at a restaurant. When I went back to get it the next day, the staff worker didn't want to help me and was kind of rude. Then, when he came back with my card, he was very friendly and apologized for the wait.
This video is everything that is wrong with society. 1. Click bait - not a single actual reaction in the video 2. Clout- this guy seems way too old to be caring what people think and making a video about
The Centurion club is invitation only to become a member. So it’s his recommendations to Amex until they finally get it. $10,000 activation fee and another $5,000 annual fee. Your Amex Platinum already has so many of the black card benefits. The black card makes people sit up more and provide a way more attentive service lol
I have the AmEx Platinum and the Centurion card. Rarely use the Centurion but use my Platinum more often. Had few reactions of people while traveling in Africa and now in Maldives. Don’t care about the flexing part since I have only used my Centurion card only a few times. Also use my other cards as well.

Great video Simon! I’m pretty sure the centurion is still the one you get most of the attention with. Speaking which, can you get a centurion card having let says the Charles Schwab version of the Platinum card?
It's not the same any more from what I seen over the many years. Could be in las vegas checking in and hand them the Centurion and get crazy upgrades with out asking or doing anything. As years went on just keep seeing less. Then when JPM banker told me about the palladium card got it right away, was told customers had to have x money in personal business and or both along with investments counted too. Did a video that did't do good job on was one the first showing off the card other than a friend did video as well. The palladium card seem to get more reaction and few extras places would do but on the concierge service was nice just could not do as crazy as amex could. Nice part of it was you could use 3x the limit and one part some might still not know is could request from the banker a very high amount to buy something for short term and depending on the relationship time as well money with them they do a lot. More less they rather you borrow vs take the cash or investments out. All in all they are all nice just not what it use to be. Not sure what any of them could do next to gain that hype/effect.
Simon send me an additional of your centurion then cancel it just to have the card to show off hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha btw great video! You made us dream! 😅😅😅😅lol

I'm going for the AMEX Platinum. 🥂🍾😁
GOOD CHOICE
JP Morgan reserve card is not heavier than the Chase Ritz Carlton card. I have both
Need to check it out! Thanks
My original Ritz weighed a pound. The new ones are similar to chase sapphire.
The interesting thing is this is that most high-wealth people DON'T use these cards, because they don't need them. lol. They are already well-known for their wealth and clout and don't need a card to achieve a "reaction" or perks.
You would be surprised. I am sure Jeff Bezos and others have them!
Now that's the kind of flex everyone wants to do at least once in their lifes.
Facts
When you use the lounge, how do they know your Card is authentic?
They scan it
Hey Simon! Great video! Been subbed for a good bit now and you have great videos! Thanks for always keeping it real! Question for you, What are your thoughts on the Visa x1 card? Thanks
Thank you 🙏. I’ve seen the x1 around but have no experience with it. Maybe one day will review it.
nice video as always. Id like to see a video of your spending on the centurion card alone.
I don't think the average person really cards about your credit card. I did get some comments on the design on my platium card but that's about it.. they also said they thought I painted it on there haha..
Also the average person doesn't even realize what the centurion card means.
Because it’s irrelevant to life
in my 10 years having the platinum card i've only had one person mention anything about it. Most people don't care.
Do you still feel like the platinum is prestigious due to the fact more and more people are getting it?
Definitely prestigious as it is around the top 10-20 % of people in income range but black is just another level.
@JennaCohenReel pathetic
As cool as it would be to get the centurion card ill stick with my platinum.
I’ve had the Centurion Card form the first year it was released. In the very early days, it garnered some attention. These days none. And with Apple Wallet, I rarely use physical cards anyway.
It never garnered attention where I’ve had my primary home - Manhattan. Once I got a reaction from a hotel in Ohio lol
So truly not sure where you are that you are getting these reactions. I’ve used it in all the boutiques you mention - no one cares.
The only time I’ve ever seen the JP Morgan Reserve in the media is when Obama used it to buy everyone pizza.
I love Amex they are best honestly
This cannot be a real discussion. It fuels so many stereotypes.
I love to flex in 2023 being a debt free single 🇺🇸 with no student loans 🤣. Team #debtfree
WRONG, College debts give you the BBC card.
Do they still issue the Gold Card? It is a quarantined product where I am.
They do
I once left my platinum card at a restaurant. When I went back to get it the next day, the staff worker didn't want to help me and was kind of rude. Then, when he came back with my card, he was very friendly and apologized for the wait.
adults: woaaaa
kids: is that the n word card?
I’ll tell you what that gold card is perfect in 2024 for families. The cost of groceries is insane.
This guy has every version of creed. I promise you.
Smelling good 😂😂😂
This video is everything that is wrong with society.
1. Click bait - not a single actual reaction in the video
2. Clout- this guy seems way too old to be caring what people think and making a video about
That was an accurate summary. Thanks!
The Chase Ink Premier can set high limits 50K, 75k, 100K+
Where did you move your money too if you don't use chase anymore?
How can you hook someone up on the centurion card? I’ve heard connections didn’t matter
The flowers on the black care are beyond horrendous.
Can’t hold a candle though to the Costco membership card.
Executives at Costco 😂
Does your JP Morgan say signature? mine says Infinite. I couldn't tell.
none of these cards got anything on that wells fargo active cash card 😤
that’s cool and all but nothing will ever beat my debit card
I get more wow factor with my JP Morgan reserve than my platinum amex
I own the reserve card and it dosnt have a limit you cant put a ridiculous limit like me or something low
$50K limit on the JP Morgan card?? Lol. I have a $49.5k limit on my Chase United card… lol.
See I’m $500 more 😂
I have the AmEx Platinum and the Centurion card. Rarely use the Centurion but use my Platinum more often. Had few reactions of people while traveling in Africa and now in Maldives. Don’t care about the flexing part since I have only used my Centurion card only a few times. Also use my other cards as well.
Why pay the $5000 annual fee to keep the Centurion card if you rarely use it and don't care about the flexing part?
@@FlintIronstag23 been using it lately
Its been years since i handed anyone a debit or credit card. Everything is tap and self serve.
I just want to see someone use the black card at hooters or tilted kilt to see the girls reactions.
Thank god I’m in the army and Uncle Sam makes sure I don’t have to pay the AF for my gold and plat 😅
Here is an idea! 💡
How about paying with your groceries with an EBT food stamps. Then pay for non food items with the Centurion Card on the same transaction!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
All the stores I go to the processing machines on the counter and you do it yourself
The cashier has no idea what card you're using after the food stamp charge
Great video.
Great video Simon! I’m pretty sure the centurion is still the one you get most of the attention with.
Speaking which, can you get a centurion card having let says the Charles Schwab version of the Platinum card?
I believe so yes you can.
Hey don't disrespect the gold I have it lol 😆
The interesting thing is that we don't hand over our cards as much anymore.
Does Kohls cash count?
Simon send me an additional of your centurion then cancel it just to have the card to show off hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha btw great video! You made us dream! 😅😅😅😅lol
I just roll ny eyes when I see any of these being presented.
Forward or backward?
What’s up stud? Simon, one day I need your favorite to refer me for the Amex Black card. 😊
What bank you use?
No
platinum is too everywhere tho
It is
Sadly Hong Kong version gold card is still in plastic
What’s the criteria for the black card?
No
You happy throughout the all video. No wonder 💭
Dang didn't even think you had the JP Morgan reserved
$695 USD annual fee for the Platinum AMEX? oh lord, here in Mexico the fee is $1508 USD/year IDK why these people we're more wealthy than americans hahaha
Interesting pricing
I use my Apple Card they give me the luxury reaction when I use it 😂
