Same reaction to you LMAO. Manon was my main pick so even though I was happy with the other chosen I couldn't really show my love to them till after Manon was chosen. I was about to have a heart attack in that final call. I was like " Please be Manon, I'm begging you". I jumped so hard when her name was called.
The only person I didn't initially have in my top was Yoonchae but I think I'm the one who was wrong to not put her in because she fits really visually well with the other 5. I think they are going for a more badass girl concept for the group because they all have a similar height and are all kind of tall. All the cute/short girls like Samara, Emily, Ezrela were not chosen and I think it was the right call because a short cute girl would mess up the whole vibe of the group. We all know they can sing and dance so I think aesthetic and the vibe they were going for the group mattered a lot in their decision.
I don't think Smara wasn't chosen because of her controversies or racism from the judges like her fans are claiming. I genuinely don't think they actually cared about those controversiess or they would have removed her. They did it before in other shows. I genuinely think that when it came to the finale and what kind of group they wanted, they realised Samara wouldn't be a good fit, that's all.
It's disgusting how her fans have been so toxic and and the attack of every girl who made it. If you take a look at the IG accounts of every KATSEYE. member, you will see Samara's fans bashing them calling each one of them " Lame", "Flop", "untalented" etc....
They are especially going really hard on Manon. They are being so hateful on her it's crazy, never seen anything like that. I think they believe Manon as the other Black girl of the competition "took" Samara's spot so she's the one they hate the most.
Yes I will agree the Brazilian fans are so crazy and toxic.
It was a very good decision to not put Samara in the group bcoz it would have ended badly.
