I’m happy with the lineup overall because the girls fit well together and many of my favorites made it but I do feel like the only reason Samara didn’t make it was because of the social media cancelling because her voice is so angelic and beautiful :( I hope she is successful going forward

The truth is that Hybe used South America to engage the reality show but in the end they chose a lineup to promote in the US and Europe. The American and European markets are more susceptible to this type of music than South America.

She is a very talented person but the scandal she was in really made her lose a lot of fans and affected how the judges view her. Whether she was the one who liked the videos or not, that account was still in her name and those actions had consequences. Her spot was definitely secured from the start of the show since she was the only competitor for the 1st position other than Sophia. But the scandal ruined. I'm not saying you can't be disappointed about her not making it ,My argument is that a lot of her supporters seem to ignore that situation and blame her decrease in ranks on the company. Manon nor Megan "took" her spot, her actions made her lose her spot. I think the judges are aware of the publics opinion and took that into consideration when making their scores. If she didn't like those videos her score would have been higher and she would have made it. There was only a 1.5 difference between her and manon just beat her to it.

@@chatnoir-i8x Nops. It's a point of view. Manon has no expressiveness. Zero facial expression. She has no stage presence. She is not the best vocalist (Samara, Sophia, Lara) nor the best dancer (Emily). She sings and dances well, but all the girls sing and dance well too. If they chose girls just for their talent, she wouldn't make it. She only debuted because she is very beautiful and fits better into the group's concept (mature, sexy) than Ezrela, Emily and Samara ( cute concept)
she can sing and dance, both averagely but she also trained for less time. i doubt there will be as clear of a gap by the time they debut. plus everyone watching this is familiar with the concept of visual members in kpop and they have been WAY less talented ones. she keeps up with the girls and is a stan attractor, that's her role. one they will need when it comes to attention during debut.

The truth is that Hybe used South America to engage the reality show but in the end they chose a lineup to promote in the US and Europe. The American and European markets are more susceptible to this type of music than South America.

@@Lee-nf9on It's as if the company only took advantage of the Hype we have for having a Brazilian on the reality because when there's a Brazilian we get excited, we want to watch and the company knew that very well, they just wanted our audience but as soon as It was opportune, they kicked Samara and kicked us because apparently there isn't much space within kpop for Brazilians. The group will be promoting in US and Europe.

I was rooting for Megan in the first place and i'm really happy for her and also sad for Samara ofc I would like to see she debuting and representing Brazil but she didn't make it. *Disagreeing and criticizing are not hate speech.* There are more than 8 billion people in the world. @larakirchpfennig9698 that's the thing tho, you're seeing it as"samara got kicked out once she brought views" but the reality is she did not receive enough votes.
She is a very talented person but the scandal she was in really made her lose a lot of fans and affected how the judges view her.
Whether she was the one who liked the videos or not, that account was still in her name and those actions had consequences.
Her spot was definitely secured from the start of the show since she was the only competitor for the 1st position other than Sophia. But the scandal ruined.
I'm not saying you can't be disappointed about her not making it ,My argument is that a lot of her supporters seem to ignore that situation and blame her decrease in ranks on the company.
Manon nor Megan "took" her spot, her actions made her lose her spot.
I think the judges are aware of the publics opinion and took that into consideration when making their scores.
If she didn't like those videos her score would have been higher and she would have made it. There was only a 1.5 difference between her and manon just beat her to it.
