Hi Justin, you miss the point of the safety design. Many folks don't like a safety because they fear accidentally engaging it. As a ret pro engr, this safety is designed so it can ONLY be engaged by INTENTIONALLY altering your grip and pushing up on the REAR of the safety lever, thus eliminating that objection. Nice review by action! Just talked to Ruger this morning. They said it is only a slide-lock, not a release. Actually they said it should never be used as a release by thumbing it down. Rater, after inserting a loaded magazine simply pull the slide backward a bit and then release without touching anything else. The slide will go forward automatically, ready to shoot. The slide lock should only be used for maintenance, they said also. But I found another occasion it can be used: when the slide is cocked in rear and you want to release it without a magazine in it, then you can push down the slide lock, easily, to resit the slide forward. This appears to be the only time it needs to be pushed downward, except for maintenance. With an empty magazine inserted, however, it often jams when you try to push it down. So, it works as designed and should not be complained about. Don't fully trust any YT videos. They are not peer reviewed or proof read and full of errors, especially the comments. I decided on this model. I like it! By the way I bought the 15 round mag, with spacer sleeve. So far, no problems. Update, I did have to send it to Ruger to deal with a problem, which was, SLIDE RELEASE DRAG! Upon a mag reload this past summer during a qualification type event, the slide did not freely move forward when I employed the "slingshot method" reload. The good people of Ruger replaced the grip frame which caused the slide stop drag, the slide stop and spring, as a warranty repair. I only had to pay my FFL a small handling fee. Thank you, Ruger!
I put this on 1.75 speed and those quick shots turned to full auto. Seriously though, great reviews. You are so even keeled, and not self centered. A breath of fresh air on this platform.
I bought one, my first handgun. Got extra mags for it, all with the pinky extension on. Having med hands I don’t have an issue with the safety. Feels great in hand.
The 4" Security 9 remains one of the most ergonomic pistols ever. It looks a bit odd, but only the H&K pistols feel better in the hand. That's saying a lot for a pistol that can still be found for under $350. And not only that, but because of the hammer, the slide is the smoothest and easiest to rack of any pistol I have ever manipulated (because you do have to rack it almost to the very back to work the hammer). And the trigger is also pretty great. It's still better than the G19 and their gen5, and better than the M&P 2.0 I just got.
Yeah almost all Ruger pistols have always felt great in my hand Glocks have never felt good in my hand I like Springfield and Ruger also Smith and Wesson for ergonomics
For me the biggest draw back of a manual thumb safety is the possibility of accidentally swiping it on while shooting. Therefore the fact that the Security 9's safety can't be actuated from the front is, from my perspective, a feature, not a bug, and I think this was Rugers design intent as well.
The slide lock is just that; a slide LOCK. It is not meant to be a RELEASE. However, on guns that have seen a lot of use, some do loosen up and can function as a release.
The same occurred to me. I notice that I can release the slide with one thumb if I'm quick with some force but if try to release it slow then I need two thumbs or pulling back the slide to release.

It was interesting to see how the point of impact shifted closer to point of aim when you installed the pinky extension. Just goes to show how every little thing adds up when it comes to the ergonomics of a gun and how the shooter interfaces with it.
Enjoy your videos and the slide lock does not bother me on any pistol cause I never use it as a release while shooting. The safety never has been put on accidently and like you said easier to go off than on. Gonna get me a compact.
I have had both.... still have the compact.... loved em both. The compact works well for carry. I sold the full size to a buddy of mine, and as he is not "carry"... it works well and he loves it, too.
Hogue makes a beaver tail grip that slide on. There is a kind of little bugger to get on there but once they're on there it makes that gun feel really good in your hand
i picked mine up yesterday and took it too the range, problem, light primer strikes and both magazines follower jamed while loading,i had to free itup with a screwdriver, also slide release almost impossible to operate. i returned gun and magazine to Ruger, i hope they fix it......2/21/24.....Ruger made repairs and it arrived back on 8/29.24, i will see if the repair corrected the issues tomorrow at the range.....-------.8/30/24, got it back from Ruger and all is fixed, thanks Ruger
There are now 3 versions of this pistol. The full size 15+1, the Compact 10+1 and a full size 10+1. The latter is actually the cheapest of the 3 at $289.99. It prints like the Compact but has the full size slide & barrel. I’ve had the Compact model since June 2020. It is a lil picky about ammo, doesn’t like MagTech hollow points in particular. Nothing against MagTech, works fine in my other pistols, just not my Security-9 Compact, can’t get thru one mag without a jamb. So I don’t run MagTech in this gun. Any complaints about the safety simply tells me the shooter doesn’t understand much about firearms. It is the exact same safety found on other Ruger pistols, including the LC9s, EC9s, Security-380, among others. It requires deliberate intent to engage while being easy to disengage and fire. You may accidentally disengage the safety but you will never accidentally engage it. As for the slide lock, I’ve never felt the need to release the slide with my thumb. Maybe it’s because I always carry with a chambered round. I own 5 pistols and the only one I ever slide release with my thumb is a Glock, and only because it’s so easy. But as far as needing it on any gun, I don’t. Overall I find the Security-9 (in any configuration) to be a rock solid reliable pistol. Are there better guns? Yes, but not in the same price range. If you want to pay $600 for a Glock or $750 for a Kimber then you will get a better gun. But for $289.99 NIB you will not find anything in 9mm that beats the Security-9. I will say the trigger takes some getting used to. It’s like shooting a revolver with the hammer sitting at about 85% of fully cocked. When you pull the trigger, the hammer still has to come further back before flying forward. It’s not by a lot but it’s noticeable. I would’ve preferred the hammer fully cocked before pulling the trigger but it is what it is. With practice it becomes a non-issue but it doesn’t start out that way. Reliability is this pistols greatest asset. I’ve put over 1200 rounds thru mine and, besides it being a picky eater, I’ve had 100% reliability. And it’s not too picky, I’ve ran Norma, Fiocci, Remington UMC, Federal HST, etc. The only ammo mine doesn’t like is MagTech JHP and AMMO INC JHP. Everything else has ran fine thru it, even 1350 fps wad cutters. It handles most 9mm ammo, just not all 9mm ammo.
It'll work. I thought the release didn't work as a release until I put a couple rounds through it. Just needs to loosen up. I'm certain this is the same.
Hey there really enjoy your hand on information ,just bought the new Pro model of this ,no safety 3 mags and night sights on my way to the range right now ,keep up the good videos and have a nice day and Christmas. Danny
The slide release/lock is a big issue with me. The claim that it is a lock and not a release is lost on me. Why would you want the gun to lock open needing a change of grip position and maybe two thumbs to unlock it. This is especially true for a self defense specific pistol like this. In self defense you want the weapon to operate easily and fast. My S&W Shied 9mm had the same issue. I sold it almost as quickly as I bought it. I hope you continue to review the slide release feature on all of your pistols. Racking ease is another feature that should be evaluated. With woman now such a large part of gun ownership, especially self defense weapons both the racking pressure and the slide release should be a prt of every review. Thanks for your review and keep up the good work.
Just note my security 9 has the same slide release problem because it’s new also the cool feature if you slam the mag in it can close the slide for you
Great gun for a great price, especially if u have arthritic hands. All my Ruger semiautos are much easier to rack the slide back then most of my other S/A pistols which is why I tend to carry them more than the others. I carry the Security 9c pro 3pm and either my LCP Max or my Max 9 in my front pocket in a Desantis pocket carry holster.
Your compact has fitment issues on the gap at the tip, it’s loose and bigger at the tip. Your security 9 doesn’t have this big gap. My got the same issue, hopefully ruger gonna fix it for me.
I am new to gun ownership. I thought I bought the security 9 full size since the person at Bass pro told me that, but once I brought it home , I seen that came with 2 10 round magazine and figured out he didn't know, but I was actually happy because I wanted a conseal carry gun. Ruger sells a 15 bullet magazine with a sleeve so it looks normal. I did get mine for $329 . I wanted a safety and is the biggest reason for getting this instead of a Glock.
The original Security 9 is "Glock 19" size, and pretty much the same size as the M&P Compact 2.0. I find that size the best of both worlds. This one is a little more concealable and you might not get binding when bending over and so on. More like a Glock 26. I personally think the M&P Compact 2.0 is the best deal and best carry gun out there for most situations, but the Rugers are pretty cool guns. But, relax, it's justin opinion.
I do love my Compact security9 I have smaller hands than most do I love the compacts. Never have had a feeding error with about 800 rounds the more you shot this gun the better you shoot it Input the talon grip on it but I like the looks better without it plus I meant to get the plastic and I ended up with the sandpaper one so it does feel better without along with looking better I did get the stainless rod and took out the plastic one after shooting 2 boxes of 50 rounds I noticed A huge difference my rear site with the white U was always not fully filled in on the bottom of the U and I could not find any other white ones so I did pick up some yellow sites for really cheap and put those on right now I have the white front dot and the yellow U on and I really like it so I have just left it they are very easy to change with the right equipment so you do not scratch your gun
I noticed on the security 9 that the finish on the barrel housing was wearing off even after just racking the gun a few times...did you notice a difference in the finish quality on the compact??
@@tylaw6173 funny you ask that. I have it that way all teh time. I carry appendix, inside the waist band. I never use the safety, and always have one in the chamber. I do clear it once in a while just because. Makes me feel better anyway. Great gun and very pleased. I even "reached out" 25 yards "PING" a few weeks ago.
@@crankybuzzard6867 That's awesome to hear! How long did it take you to get familiar with it? 25 yards is no joke with a pistol - at least for me lol I'm planning on getting one and have heard good things but I've been a little curious since it has a safety maybe I should keep it on ( which I prefer not to do as long as it's safe ) but most of what I've heard seem like it's as safe as any other firearm without a manual safety.
@@tylaw6173 nice response. I came up the gun world with revolvers, and they don't have safeties. So whether a semi auto has a safety or not... I don't use it. That being said.... you MUST keep it in mnd that the safety is off. What I LOVE about this pistol is the feel and shooting comfort. It is built on the idea of a 1911.... and with a hammer trigger at that! The grip has the same angle as any 1911. LOTS of reasons to like this baby. 25 yards..... well thats "plinking".... and I was able to hit the steel plates "more than once"! I did paint a bit of the front sight WHITE. Just a dab. My eyes pick that up much quicker. I also put white paint on the back sight. It just helps me, as I thought the sights were a bit "sloppy". Now I just ZOOM on in. Perfect for me. At 3, 5, 7 and 10 yards.... The Security 9 Compact is a great feel, and gives me the confidence that is desire for conceal carry. I did get a Kydex holster for it. Stay tuned!!
I am so glad I came across this video and the comments about the Slide Stop/lock. I've shot guns a few times growing up and now that I'm in my mid 40's decided to get back into it. Of course I go into the gun shop and checking this gun out and look like a complete wimp not able to press the Slide Release. I'm not a big guy either so I just look even more wimpy. Guys behind the counter saying it needs more thumb power lol.
But hey you can put a mag in with authority and it will chamber a round for you but no slide release Ok The top of rear site is flat faced if you really have lost the use of yiur other arm..
Ahoy Justin! A quick Thanks for your tutelage with the Ruger Security 9 Compact. Your Knowledge, Experience, & Guidance, is *needed*, as well as Appreciated. 🙏🦉
Just got mine yesterday! $309 before taxes. Haven't had a chance to shoot it. I have super large hands and the pinky extension is a MUST! However I bought an extra pinky extend at my gun shop but it is not the same as the one that came with my Security 9c, it is Ruger but I cannot load my second mag that came with it. I'm going to order the specific S9c from Ruger themselves.
With a full-size Security 9 I shoot much, much, much tighter groups than with my Glock 19 Gen 5 or my Sig Sauer P329 XCompact. Just sayin'. We're all different.
Bersa looks nice but they use a casted frame that have been known to crack/shatter with heavy use. Not a good choice IMO... but to each their own. BTW my first gun I bought was a Thunder 380.
Love that Ruger made the sights dovetailed so u can replace them unlike Glock without buying an aftermarket slide. The controls since this is a new pistol will of course get easier after more use. A .380 version would be great not everyone wants the power of the 9mm. As of 4/21, you can purchase this pistol for $299 online from Academy Sports. Wonder what Hickok45 can do with this pistol? :)
Bob Smith as far as the sights go do you know what other gun manufacturers front sight will fit? I know it’s dovetailed but I’m not sure what will fit. I know ruger offers them on their sight but they are expensive. I only want a front sight
Sure would like to see a comparison between Ruger's Security9 compact and SR9c. I had an SR9c and wish I hadn't gotten rid of it. Was thinking about the Security9 compact because it's about a 1/4" thinner than the SR9c, but I was kinda concerned about those failures to feed, Hickok45 had some failures too. I never had any trouble whatsoever out of my SR9c, a shot it just as well as the SR9.
If the safety is easy to engage from a grip position people complain that” the safety can be accidentally be engaged during gun fight”. I think that it a perfect we’re it’s at. Easy to engage when I put it out but hard to push on.
It’s really 1.2 inches wide. The slide is 1.02 inches wide, the frame in o.2 inches wider… that kept me from getting a micro 9 for a while because I believed the factory specs… a micro 9 is much thinner. Still a good pistol, just not as thin as listed
Does the compact accommodate the 10-round mag that also comes with the regular Security 9? Also...does it automatically rack when the mag is put in forcefully?
Like a lot of pistols, the slide lock notch on the slide itself is probably coated with a material that's designed to be "sticky" for racking the slide easily. Not so great for a slide release. 10:1 after you've CLPed it a few times, it'll get better. Also, some pistols have a reverse angle on the slide notch. Effectively you have to fight not only the "sticky" coating, but also the recoil spring to push the slide back just slightly for release. Very safe, but not very functional. It can be carefully filed to a 90 degree, which will also take the "sticky" coat off. Of course we can just rack using the slide, or buy something else. But that price is awfully nice!
Nice review. Yeah you probably already figured out that it's a slide lock and not a release. Give those mags a little more umph that you did on vid when you load those and slide will release and load without having to pull slide slightly back to release and load. Well that's what my Security 9 full size does, which imo is a great feature.
I would say yes but ruger is known for producing great barrels usually cold hammer forged but I don’t believe this one is . I would be more concerned with the longevity of the thin barrel more than the accuracy. This pistol is plenty accurate for its intended use if looking for superb accuracy this is not the firearm or even style of firearm for you . The reason imo how the thinner barrel would effect the accuracy slightly is the harmonica of the barrel being more prevalent being thinner It bothers me too and it’s the only thing holding me back on pulling the trigger on this piece but it’s not out of the equation yet want to get a closer look at the internals and feed ramp to insure his FTFs were due to either user error or ammo selection. But overall looks like a winner for cc to me especially for the price . I just have this doubt that ruger did not build this firearm on the basis of being fired thousands of rounds a year more of a firearm that you site in with your carry ammo to insure reliability and maybe put a few hundred rds a month out of it . But idk just speculating at this point.
Ruger has released a 15 round magazine with the spacer for the s9 compact. Do you think this is going to help with feeding issues? I am going back and forth between this, and the Glock 26. Glock is king, but budget is a factor for me.
Ruger is a well known Gun Company, that's been in the business of weaponry, for quite some time,so it's not a real question of what y going to pay for the weopon,in general, but that your sure to get the security y need for money, being well spent,as your life is well, worth the investment y made!
That's the way they designed it on purpose I have one except mine's a pro. It's got night sights and I got three mags with it. 10 rounders only though have not yet had a chance to shoot it. I did have to have it worked on a little spring in here by the pin where you put the pin back in broke and I had to send it back to him and they and I sent it to him back to me or actually back to the FFL and I picked it up there and it's been. I haven't gotten a chance to try yet but I played with it but not really. Shot it video when I got it back. Just wrecking the slides if I could tell there was a difference and there was something wrong with that little piece of wire in there that holds a pain in
I can’t believe you have any of that case of pink target paint left. Seems like a couple of years since you bought it. Anyway, interesting review. 3 of 10 outside the orange without pinky rest and 6 of 10 outside with it. Funny how perception works. Interestingly, I had similar results, lo, these many years ago when I bought my old LC9. “The pinky rest feels so much better...but...the results are worse. Wha...?” Thus, the pinky rests went into a box. Thanks so much for returning the JOGI. While most people seem to have similarly lengthed first and third fingers, due to some DNA trickery my first (index) finger ends just about the beginning of my third finger fingernail. I’ve really come to depend on the JOGI and need that number to be really close to 3.0 or even less (yay, M&P 2.0! Yay, P320! Big YAY to P320 X-Carry! Sorry, FNS9, I really wanted to love you.). So, thank you for that!
Thanks. I'm actually more frugal with the paint than I should be - some have complained that I don't repaint the targets enough, which is a legit complaint. I think the main reason is that when I have to packup to leave the range I don't want to have to deal with wet paint. Also, it hides very well, so you don't have to use so much.
I own both. The American is a lot heavier and I had to put Talon grips on it to make it more comfortable to shoot. Also mine had to be sent in for the recall. It shot better before they replaced parts. Now it shoots a little high for some reason. The Security-9 has much better ergos and a nicer trigger, but I do not like the safety and mag release button. Both are fine options. Go with what feels best in your hand.
Good old ruger. Just a solid american working mans gun manufacturer.
Have one. Love it. Have put 300 rounds out of it on my first trip to the range and it performed beautifully. No issues.
A+ for the hold open/slide lock. (Per the manual.)
Ruger needs to change that because none of the reviewers understand it except Hickock45.

@Grwmkegthr LAstname Galloway Precision makes a +2 for the regular Security-9 that should work on the Compact.
i picked mine up yesterday and took it too the range, problem, light primer strikes and both magazines follower jamed while loading,i had to free itup with a screwdriver, also slide release almost impossible to operate. i returned gun and magazine to Ruger, i hope they fix it......2/21/24.....Ruger made repairs and it arrived back on 8/29.24, i will see if the repair corrected the issues tomorrow at the range.....-------.8/30/24, got it back from Ruger and all is fixed, thanks Ruger
Crazy part the slide stop works as a release on my full size security 9
It'll work. I thought the release didn't work as a release until I put a couple rounds through it. Just needs to loosen up. I'm certain this is the same.
Same for me
Oh and I just love your camera work you rock sir
Thanks I’ve been wondering if the mags were compatible 🤙🏽 for the price i don’t think I can pass this up
Hey there really enjoy your hand on information ,just bought the new Pro model of this ,no safety 3 mags and night sights on my way to the range right now ,keep up the good videos and have a nice day and Christmas. Danny
Can you compare the SIG P365 vs S9C?
It’s a bigger version of the LCP II, not the LCP or LC9. I know that was just an innocent slip you made. Nice review as usual 👍
Loved my LCP 2 and I want this too. Guys finally made a Glock 26
Just note my security 9 has the same slide release problem because it’s new also the cool feature if you slam the mag in it can close the slide for you
Just picked this gun up today for my wife.
How does she like it ? Thinking about picking one up for mine. It seems like the perfect size.
Thank you for your insight and demos 👍
Do you clean it before you fire it? I pick mine up on Monday
Very thorough review, great work
Great gun for a great price, especially if u have arthritic hands. All my Ruger semiautos are much easier to rack the slide back then most of my other S/A pistols which is why I tend to carry them more than the others. I carry the Security 9c pro 3pm and either my LCP Max or my Max 9 in my front pocket in a Desantis pocket carry holster.
I think the safety is meant to be a deliberate on. Giving the choice of use. Thank you for the video. Not many on this pistol yet.
Still believe ruger would have done better with a Gen 2 version of the SR9 in both sizes it's a better gun all around for about $100 more.
Your compact has fitment issues on the gap at the tip, it’s loose and bigger at the tip. Your security 9 doesn’t have this big gap. My got the same issue, hopefully ruger gonna fix it for me.
I have heard that the muzzle flip on the full size is pretty heavy. It looks that way on the compact also
I own the full size and can guarantee the muzzle flip is honestly no worse than the 19.
@@JustinGoldsmith I've never shot either one so I wouldn't know
The pink color of your target reminds me of the desert pink camouflage the Brits used in North Africa.
I love mine I got the 15 round mag with the extension grip so it's got a full size grip
I've noticed that on my full and compact as well.
Yea first time cleaning it the color on it fading
chris settles same here
@Noneya did that happen after depressing the brake only 4 times??? Time for a trade in if true.... no offense taken
Slam mag when slide locked back and you won't need slide release. It will load 1 in chamber too. Is this a Ruger thing or do
How does this stack up against the Canik SC.... Justin? Besides magazine capacity.
It is a good one for the price point but I would do a TP9 Elite before I do the Ruger
my thoughts exactly... the TP9 series is by far the very best value in striker fired pistols today... by a longshot.
a really dependable piece. Its my every day carry. :) Nice video!!
Is it safe to carry with one in the chamber and the manual safety off?
It eventually breaks in and will release under thumb power.
But hey you can put a mag in with authority and it will chamber a round for you
but no slide release
Ok
The top of rear site is flat faced if you really have lost the use of yiur other arm..
I have mine fully loaded .. tactical sight, rhino hand sleeve and laser.. my everyday carry
Ahoy Justin!
A quick Thanks for your tutelage with the Ruger Security 9 Compact.
Your Knowledge, Experience, & Guidance, is *needed*, as well as Appreciated.
🙏🦉
Would you prefer the Ruger Security 9 compact over the SCCY CPX2?
Just got mine yesterday! $309 before taxes. Haven't had a chance to shoot it. I have super large hands and the pinky extension is a MUST! However I bought an extra pinky extend at my gun shop but it is not the same as the one that came with my Security 9c, it is Ruger but I cannot load my second mag that came with it. I'm going to order the specific S9c from Ruger themselves.
After the first 200, did you notice any shavings while cleaning? Excessive wear?
With a full-size Security 9 I shoot much, much, much tighter groups than with my Glock 19 Gen 5 or my Sig Sauer P329 XCompact. Just sayin'. We're all different.
I like the Bersa BP9CC, but they hard to find, was also looking at the G2S, the Taurus TS9 will come out soon I hope.
Bersa looks nice but they use a casted frame that have been known to crack/shatter with heavy use. Not a good choice IMO... but to each their own. BTW my first gun I bought was a Thunder 380.
$309.00 on grab a gun. Great review!
I don't need it I have lcp2 and security 9 and kinda want this now
Love that Ruger made the sights dovetailed so u can replace them unlike Glock without buying an aftermarket slide.
Hickok will compare it to a Glock and tell you he likes the Glock better.
Decent gun. I would suggest for first time gun owners or edc.
Sweeet looking forward to this one Justin!!!
If the safety is easy to engage from a grip position people complain that” the safety can be accidentally be engaged during gun fight”. I think that it a perfect we’re it’s at. Easy to engage when I put it out but hard to push on.
Truthfully, I’m on the fence about this one. Maybe? Great vid as always brother!
I like the idea of it, and it's a nice pistol - just not one that I mesh with as well, for some reason.
It’s really 1.2 inches wide. The slide is 1.02 inches wide, the frame in o.2 inches wider… that kept me from getting a micro 9 for a while because I believed the factory specs… a micro 9 is much thinner. Still a good pistol, just not as thin as listed
That little thing looks sweet
I have only heard this from another u tube I can't find now. Thanks
Does the compact accommodate the 10-round mag that also comes with the regular Security 9? Also...does it automatically rack when the mag is put in forcefully?
Yes and yes. Took me a min to get used to the inertia lock, but I really enjoy it now
I just keep mashing the slide release…. It loosens up and works fine after a small amount of time
Looks like a nice trigger for what it is. Hopefully it won't rust when sweated on like my LC9s did.
I really like the video keep up the good work
Great video Sir! 👌🏻 👍🏻
I would like to know if the thin barrel effects accuracy .
The feeding issue is because it’s a new gun, take it and put some rounds and love into it after that it’s a dream!
2 years later in the middle of covid I paid 349.99 so about 20 bucks more..... not bad after 2 years and a pandemic
Justin...where can I acquire some of those little orange targets? Great review as always
I usually get them on Amazon.
Hickock45 had 2 double feeds in one video😵
That's the way they designed it on purpose I have one except mine's a pro. It's got night sights and I got three mags with it. 10 rounders only though have not yet had a chance to shoot it. I did have to have it worked on a little spring in here by the pin where you put the pin back in broke and I had to send it back to him and they and I sent it to him back to me or actually back to the FFL and I picked it up there and it's been. I haven't gotten a chance to try yet but I played with it but not really. Shot it video when I got it back. Just wrecking the slides if I could tell there was a difference and there was something wrong with that little piece of wire in there that holds a pain in
Thank you for another informative video. I always enjoy watching. Cheers!
I may be wrong, but I thought they all were slide locks! just saying.
It's a slide hold, not a release.
Why get a 43X or a P365 when Ruger has a flawless compact 10+1 pistol. And its half the price glock and or sig is asking.
That's kinda how I look at it this thing is definitely a competitor and it's crazy that you can almost buy two of these for one glock 26
So what do you think between this pistol and the Ruger American Compact, which might be better?
That color paint must go on sale a lot! I have lots of pictures of my steel with the same color!
I like Ruger. But the compact is to small in the grip department. I'm a small guy with a large hand.
It's not a slide release ,it's a slide lock...its the way its made
Great review thanks much
Thanks for watching!
