This was a bit underwhelming, tbh. I think what disappoints me the most about this DLC (besides the rushed storyline) is the missed opportunity for Nemona, Arven and Penny to actually interact with the Blueberry students. Then again, I haven’t finished it yet so maybe that will change.
Here's my opinion, I found the dlc 1 far better than this one. Why ? Well, because of the legendaries. I mean it's great that the 1st part of the Indigo disk is about Kieran revenge arc and us trying to reason him, but... In the 1st dlc, Ogerpon has all of the main story build around her : she got a backstory, the main quest is about learn her lore and then help her retrieve her masks to finally battle her and caught her. All of this, combine with the fact that she is damn precious and adorable made me really close to her and wanting to include her in my team. However, in this dlc, Terapagos may be the legendary pokemon around it, but only one small part of the dlc is built around it and even when we reach it, we barely being told anything about his lore, why it exist or whatever. And that sucks. Honestly, as I was progressing through the DLC to reach Kieran, I genuinly forgot Terapagos was suppose to be the legendary of the DLC. And as a result I didn't consider using it at all even during the epilogue. Because I was just not interested in it after all. Oh and let's be honest, this new "stellar" terratype kinda suck, I'm not gonna lie.
Except the difference is Pokemon usually gave you a full game for a full price. At the very worst, they made enhanced ports/3rd versions which were sold separately but often fixed many of the original complaints. The problem now though is they're charging you 60 dollars for the main game and 30 dollars for the DLC. However, in a game like Black and White, those enhancements and DLC worthy things were all built into the game. It's why there's no definitive version of them and instead a sequel, with said Sequel having even more content than the original. A 100 dollars is simply way too much money, especially when you consider the fact that you can emulate the older games for free and skip paying a 100 dollars for a complete game.
After breezing through the main game and Teal Mask, Indigo Disk being more difficult felt like running facefirst into a brick wall. Not to say that challenge is bad, it was just kinda jarring
Both the faces of SV DLC, Ogrepon & Terapagos, are another pieces of proof that legendaries have been getting better & better in the way they're handled. Now only the Mythicals require the same treatment. @@nicknelson1975 what are you talking about? It feels better for them to actually have a much bigger presence in the story & recently, u even get the opportunity to bond w a few of them a little (Calyrex, Ko/Miraidon, & the aforementioned Ogrepon). Lowering their catch rate & making them easier to catch (or a guaranteed capture in the case of Eternatus, Dialga, Palkia & the aforementioned Terapagos & Ogrepon so canonically the Mc is gonna have them in their pocket) can be seen as a downgrade, but that's just how the plot wants to play out. As a result I don't feel any sense of fascination, power or mystery with them (one of the main reasons I think Journeys is the worst season of Anipoké btw). This dlc is, storywise, one of the worst Pokémon scams. The entire thing is about Terapagos and at the end whe know nothing about it, nothing about the power of crystals, nothing about that damn time machine and paradoxes, no plotholes fix. The final battle was basic af, just like the final ""climax"". I felt the same "cut-content" feeling as when i played the main story finale, but this was supposed to be the cut-content! After we had Eternamax battle and the entire PLA plot this felt like a joke. Yeah the rival story is cute, but man i feel so disappointed. Even the f*cking trailers seemed like super lore-centered. Like "uncover the mysteries of Area Zero, find the treasure". What mysteries? Terapagos was the treasure, and we literally have already seen it from the trailers.
i think we as a community got too hopeful after how good teal mask was. i have never seen a build up like Kieran's in a pokemon game, it was a joy to see someone react to the protag's plot armor in a realistic way, and we also had the time to get attached to the siblings since they both had a lot of screentime and story relevance. indigo disk was a rushed way to tie ends up, and they managed to fumble it, figures. gamefreak can't seem to get a character arc right since sun and moon!

Edit/resolved method: So.. I found a way around it. I just transferred basically all the duped starters I had laying around from Pokemon GO over to my Violet version. Saved myself some time. lol A lot of time actually.
I Like Turtles
I'm doing BBQ quests and carmine still isn't at the center
I'm so glad I didn't pay for this
I think Kieran might still be possessed by something…
i actually love the fact that he's not! that possession thing would have been even more underwhelming story-wise, it was such an easy way out the situation they wrote Kieran in and i'm glad they decided to push through the unhinged route instead!
Can anyone tell me how to unlock the phone call from director Clavell to begin with??? For the life of me, I can't get to the beginning of this... where he calls you and speaks about Blueberry academy. How do i unlock that part? Can someone help me please 😩
As a side note, my end goal is to get to the Savannah Biome to find a charmander. I've been going in circles trying to find the start point for all of this and Google is not helping...
Carmine & Kieran are Malaysians 🇲🇾
Crispin & Lacey are Singaporeans 🇸🇬
Ahhh yes
What about Drayton, he literally use sarong in his outfit
@@dahlgalai Yeah, the countries in Pokémon universe
Carmine wont call me and i dont see her anywhere in central thing??can someone helpp
Have you beaten Teal Mask? I think that’s the prerequisite??
That's fairly short
I’m not getting the “ Reunion with Carmine “ quest.. and it’s not allowing me to progress through the story..
Did you catch an alolan pokemon for the quest before it?
Did you complete Teal Mask?
53:43 i went where shes ment to be in the class room after i compleated this dlc and the post game dlc but she was not there can some one help me with that because i cant find her to unlock flying on my koraidon
carmine didn’t call after class, help?
How to you get carmine too call I’m stuck
Beat Teal Mask, I think.
why did Amarys call koraidon agaias
Because most Pokémon are named the sound it makes, and she’s never seen a Miraidon before, so that was her guess as to its name.
21:40 why don’t I get a call?
I'm very sad about this DLC. The game forces you to catch Pokémon. I never liked that. I haved to drop the DLC in Trayton Battle. I am sad.
I thought it’s downloadable content for the Nintendo Switch 😂
It is…?
How come carmine did not call me after I donated Executer ??
Anyone else not get a phone call after bbq tutorial?
Yeah me
When I started indigo disk at the start carmine did not call me
This dlc is, storywise, one of the worst Pokémon scams.
@@jadethena ofc the hype culture is the real villain here, and yes i loved kieran's buildup, but still the disappointment is there, and i'm actually sorry about this because i love this franchise

Kieran: Scream, it's been a while. So, where's your master?
Starscream: Never mind him! I am my own master! *stabs Kieran* Any more questions?
- Kieran last words before Starscream kills
4:20-12:53

I did not get a call from her tho
Ready for the next pokemon remake or legends... Glad I didn't buy this dlc... So disappointing 😅

You are playing bad on purpose to show the enemies strategies, right?
