- Hi! As the game is finally officially available, I've decided to share my own experience from the game from beginning to end.
Wanna thank @LeafCruz20 from twitter for giving me the past Paradox for this video due to lack of time completing the dex from Scarlet version. Another one will be coming shortly!
I did absolutely everything from the game and I also recorded all the stuff.
Despite the game being officially available, it's best not to go on the internet if you don't want to get spoiled.

And the devs did not buff Bleakwind Storm again, like the previous incarnations of Paldea, aka lower speed than freezing it like Legends Arceus did

Also, I love how Spacial Rend has a cool shattering effect, but Roar of Time is just Dialga spewing this big laserbeam at you.
That’s how it’s always been. A Dragon-type variant of Hyper Beam.

Really sucks how bad Moongeist Beam and Sunsteel Strike look. I love the alola legendaries and seeing them get shafted like this feels bad man :(

@@Mac14329Yeah but they did take away the third eye and body glow. Those were the main highlights on Sunsteel Strike/Moongiest Beam.

Relax. They may have butchered the animations but the only thing that matters is that they’re there

They lacked impact. Most of them just looked like different colored lasers.
Yeah they look extremely watered down compared to how they used to look in gens 6-7
They won't have the same impact as their og games coz Pokemon ain't remaking the move animations for every game that comes.

@@groudonor12 gen 7 wasn’t the gen where they stated their focusing on “high quality animations”. Those problems began in Gen 8. Gen 7 was the last gen to include all available Pokémon for its time.
I always like the extra detail Reshiram & Zekrom have when together in a dual battle

People often talk about the character animations being lackluster and they've adjusted gradually, but personally, the move animations feel more bland than the characters.
even if 10% of the moves look "good" still feels lackluster.
Funny seeing you here Blutwo, love your animations. If you aren't busy, could we get Regirock with Explosion for real this time?
I mean when they put the focus more to likely `cut down on animations` by just re-using generic ones, while getting rid of as many of them with unique motions, attack effects & creative camera work, it just further stacks on already lousy elements.
Which im getting sick and tired of playing the roller coaster game of them adding stuff, taking away stuff, adding new stuff, taking away stuff again. When was the last time they `truly` added permanent pieces of content that had the same presence as Held items, Pokemon abilities and what not? Not just simply expansions to those things like new abilities/items but literal game-changing elements that were constant in multiple entries?
Cause they certainly broke it with Clothing customization since you could have alot of personality in Sword/Shield, while despite all the `accessories` with Scarlet/Violet, the player character still ends up looking like a NPC in a pile of watered down NPCs, even when the NPCs get more `drip` they stack on top of the school uniforms, like the blue berry Academy having one elite four with a Lab-coat on top of a school uniform and Kieran wearing his school uniform more like a delinquient and actually wearing a sports wear that just makes me wish we could of got those Soccer outfits in Sword/Shield again, cause the number of designs & color mix ups really `sold them` despite them being effectively the same outfit for the most part.
Even hits harder when the gym leaders in sword/shield wear those competition outfits in a load of different ways on top of that.
I was specifically looking at Shadow Force on Giratina - In Scarlet/Violet, Giratina just reappears and then the animation of the attack plays, but in Legends Arceus the whole animation feels a lot more slick with the claws/wings ripping open the portal before Giratina reappears
Imo, they focused waaaaay too much on snappiness over everything else. It's even more aggravating when some multihit attacks take 30 seconds, while most attacks can't have animations longer than two seconds. I'd rather see more cinematic attacks for signature moves over how most of them were handled in Gen 9
Yup, thar be a reason why they are called Signature moves, actually really embodying them specifically and not just simply be a recolor of a generic more or a move exclusive to only one specific pokemon and then handed out to a bunch of others, Even worst when these new users can use said move so much better due to a much higher stat distribution and what not.
Might of been fine if they kept the original animations, but instead of cutting the bloat of the map size or a ridiculously large number of JPEGs and `food effects` or the `animation mini game` to make a sanvich, which really could of just been pick 3 ingredients, and `craft` a sanvich that you can eat at any time so you can just make a bunch of specific ones and dont have to constantly `make` new ones right when you wanna start a farm. Well, they rather cut existing assets and shove in poorly optimized stuff that is gonna get removed by the next game anyway, while the moves are still gonna `exist` in the game still technically.

I wonder if Unova does get a remake I hope they buff Black/white Kyrum’s freeze move

All the remakes have been done gen wise,upto gen 4(recent being BD/SP). So,it means the next remake is probably gen 5,that is,unova

Reshiram is looking so damn fluffy, i want to pet it and never let go. The new models are looking really cool, i also like Zekrom's scaly look, Kyurem is already badass, now it's even more badass, the fusions constant have activated their tails, but it's fine. I kinda wish the Fusion moves look better.
The light trio's new models are great too, i like Solgaleo's and Lunala's almost metallic look, but Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam are disappointing :(
Necrozma and its fusions are looking good.
Solgaleo and Lunala no longer glow when attacking, it was literally their trademark 😭

Lunala also lost the third eye in its animation, despite the game zooming in on where it should have been
@@silv2309 they kept it in Sword and Shield though, they removed a lot of unique animations, like Decidueye's bow animation in Spirit Shackle and Delphox's wand animation in many of its moves.

Gouging Fire is disappointing tbh.
the animations for thunderclap and gouging flare's signature are mid, iron boulder and crown had cooler animations.

In this case the video are talking about signature as in "most well known".
pretty sure none of the moves showcased with the kanto birds were ever their signature moves
@RaviaVee the legendary beasts and birds had their moves become common moves other Pokémon could learn at high levels or via TMs. For instance, Eruption is just very rare, but can be learned by Groudon and Typhlosion

Th most surprising thing about it for me was that it has an animation for when other Pokemon use it
The move actually looks cooler when Mew uses it because Baxcaliburs model isn't in the way

Dang, Reshiram and Zekrom's signatures don't really feel that powerful. Honestly I wish a lot of these moves felt like they had a strong impact.
The big issue is they clearly wanted to contain the moves into a small area and it makes the ones that should be big and powerful small and weak

I love the little detail that Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt look slightly different if Reshiram/Zekrom is teamed up with their counterpart.
I see no difference in Fusion Flare. What changes with it when Zelrom is paired up?

Man I am sad that there are so few exclusive animation s for the legendaries and their unique moves or the removal of said animations.

As well as Lunala and Solgaleo not having their thrid eye, the fact that they made Regidrago's Dragon Energy move have the EXACT SAME animation as Kyogre's Origin Pulse but with a different colour was really disappointing. Still, always cool to see what all the animations are like with every gen. Thanks for the content Mixeli!
So sad to see the sword trio from gen 5 not summon their blades for Sacred Sword.... Yet Iron Leaves does for its signature move

They did not want a repeat of Geomancy Xerneas and they certainly did not want Yveltal to fire nukes in the form of Tera Dark + Dark Aura Knock Offs
And yet they let Calyrex-Shadow, the mon only held back by lack of coverage, into a game where anything can have any coverage move. And they gave it Draining Kiss just in case that wasn’t enough.

I’m confused how are some of these signature moves? Like with Rock Slide and ice beam and zap canon weren’t they available to plenty of other Pokémons since the beginning?

Man, a lot of the older gens feel so....super nerfed. Aeroblast used to have impact on the ds games, it used to scare me. Now its merely a gust of wind. And come on, no glow up on the gem for Dialga and Palkia? At least Palkia hss the cooler animation. Doggos get a whole cutscene themselves, and i dont mean gen 2.

How did Diamond Storm and all of the Tao Trio’s moves get WORSE from the 3DS era
Also, don’t get me started on how the Hoenn legends’ signature moves were built around a mechanic that doesn’t exist. Mega Rayquaza specifically had a very unique animation when using Dragon Ascent and it’s just gone and probably never coming back

Metronome is a move that will randomly use any move that is coded into the game. The move Mew picked was the signature move of the gen 9 pseudo legendary.

Shouldn't enamorous be in eight gen. I know it debuted in a sinnoh game, but legends arceus is still considered as a gen eight game. There's a difference between region and generation

Almost none of these are signature moves. And man, they really lost a ton of animation quality from Gen 8.
I would have liked Roar of Time to be more like the P:LA version
