Those circles help you get around loops, they transfer you from front layer, to bottom layer

You Don't Need To Hold B & Y Before 'Press Any Button' Appears. You Can Just Press B And Y Anytime After 'Press Any Button' On The Title Screen.

ggibboney I'd say go for it. It's a solid game. I felt like there was a small spike in difficulty with one boss for me but that could just be me. Besides that I'd highly recommend this game

There is another little hidden feature: instead of doing the B&Y thing on the title screen, you can do it on the File Select screen, but only with the "No save" option. That allows you to activate one of the secret options (especially the infamous "And Knuckles" option) before going to the Stage Select screen. Handy!
So, to recap:
- Go to the File Select screen (Mania Mode)
- Go to the "No save" option
- Press X for Secrets
- Select the secret options you want to enable
- Validate with B & Y
- Start your game with A or Start, while still holding both B and Y

I've just finished unlocking everything in the game, but I didn't know about the way you unlocked Debug and level select. I unlocked Debug mode for no save mode through Bonus Stages. I guess I was to focused on beating the game fully before trying any main menu codes.

I wouldn't use this personally because with the bonus stages you can unlock debug mode in the no save file, its an option like & Knuckles mode

alex sonic mania lets you do debug mode because if you go in no save mode theres a secrets lable press it and you can do secret stuff in the game

Ok, everyone asking about pc, ps4 and xbox. On ps4 and xbox editions you have to collect all the medals you earn from blue sphere. For pc you can use the developer menu (look online for how to get the developer menu working)

For anyone wondering how to properly unlock debug mode you need to collect 16 silver medals from blue spheer stages aka half the collectable silver medals i know because i just unlocked t at 16 medals not sure if its the same for all versions of the game i play on xbox 360 hope you found this information useful
