Does anyone else hate it when you risk your life to revive someone but they press skip knowing there's a medic like 5 metres away?

With the Mondragon, you just have to make sure your magazine count is on 5 or 0/10 when you reload. That way you can just slip another 5 round mag in rather than reloading individual bullets.

aye. breaking up your Reloading into 5rd segments makes for speedy Reloads to be able to get back into Combat.
you don't always need to spend the time to go to 10rds, only when you have the time for it.

Hopefully BF1 finally teaches people the difference between a clip and a magazine.

a clip is a device used to hold multiple bullets together for easy insertion into a weapon, this can be anything from a piece of tape, whereas a magazine is often a fully fledged container attached into the gun typically with some sort of automatic feeding mechanism such as springs etc

Oddly enough the 1906 is my favorite rifle. High damage, High accuracy and as an added ol onus it forces you to be accurate and play the supplier medic role
An34syT4rg3t I love the low ammo weapons in this game. the Remington model 8 didn't have an extend magazine until the 80's when it was given to cops in the California. why is it even in the game other than to make it easier and "player freindly"

1906 sniper is an absolute beast, nothing feels better than destroying camping lmgs and snipers on big maps with it

Onion Rings rather than grammar, this is more about vocabulary. because, one of them is feeding the gun and the other one is feeding the magazine
They should give the Selbstlader the BF3 stats for DMRs or a high base damage like 70 or so. I mean if they have a mechanic that allows almost every sniper rifle to oneshot you, a dmr with high base damage won't hurt the game.
BrawlerAce i said BASE damage, that could drop off to like 34 like the other dmr's. And if the gun is a pile of garbage with NO qualities whatsoever then you could atleast give it this little buff. Also level said that it doesn't even have a scoped variant, so much for countersniping (which you can allready do with every scoped DMR in the game.)
the Selbstlader 1906 is already the best medium+ Range Weapon the Medic has. Kills faster than any other option at distances.
that's the tradeoff you make. you don't get the convenience of an Optic, but you have a very powerful long Range Weapon.
so like how the Autoloading 8 is a precision, high Damage CQB monster, this is the opposite - a precision, high Damage long Range monster.
I don't think we need a dmr that good. They were way too good in bf4 and bf3.
WarHammer654 I think you are just a scrub. In BF4 you rarely see them and in BF3 you mostly see them in TDM noshars from lvl 10s who just unlocked them

The m1916 rifle is my second choice for medic but I've been primarily using the m1907 sweeper.

LordX That would basically be a semiauto sniper rifle, hell no.
Giving it a "sweet spot" range of 0-35m or something where it can do one-shot headshot would make it worth using as a high skillcap weapon without being very op.
The damage is fine, I'd say just increase the clip size, or make the reload faster.

Try out the support class. I've found those LMGs to be a good stepping stone.
i think the best thing that helps is being aware of your surroundings... positioning is really important too

The worst medic rifle is also annoying as the cocking handle keeps flipping up in your view like the luger

Who else here loves the Cei Rigotti? I haven't gotten to experiment with other rifles yet but I have had a pretty good experience with it.

I already have a little less than 350 kills with the Rigotta cheese gun. I like the quick trigger guns.
[RACC] D3RPYRACC0072 Low ammo capacity but I often manage to get around 5 rounds for 1-2 kills so I could chamber a clip faster that putting them one-by one
the gun towards the end reminds me of the m1 grand

Sedrick Culbreath There was a weapon similar to this gun called the Pederson Rifle that competed with the M1 Garand. The M1 Garand won the competition because it was simpler to make and maintain and didn't require wax coated ammo.

TheStuntman62 This is technically a predecessor to the Pederson rifle. This was designed around 1906 as it states. The more improved version you could say is the Pederson rifle that was designed in the 1920's

Overusing the term 'DMR' doesn't make a WW1 era semi-automatic rifle a marksman rifle.

Mondragon is also very good from a distance. If I'm in a full party looking for snipers, I'd probably take the Mondragon, but the 1916 is better in more situations.
I like the medic class weapons. They fit my style well, and the healing ability is useful throughout the match in just about any mode or situation.
I'm also a big fan of the Cel-Rigotti

What about he Cei-Rigotti and the M1907 SL?
Personally I prefer the Sweeper and the Trench versions of the SL and Cei. Both of these can pretty frequently out-damage Assault SMGs

I think the default medic rifle that you get is a beast, played only with that rifle for most of the time. Switched to the Mandrogan though recently.

Cei-rigotti is beast. Love the automatic firing option especially on the "trench" and "factory" variants.
The M1907 SL Sweeper is my jam! My favorite weapon thus far, but I don't have many weapons in the other classes unlocked.

Leg shots deal a minimum of 33,6 damage with this gun. Should still be a 3 shot kill.

To balance the rank 10 weapon they could just give it higher damage model. By doing that you could 2-shot kill and one shot headshot somebody.

Brother Volker this rifle is the 1906 Luger rifle. Using the same toggle lock action as the Luger. This came way before the M1 and has no mechanical differences

mondragon is by far my favorite dmr in bf1 I love how accurate it is and how fast you can shoot it doesn't take long to get used to it and when you do it becomes a monster

I'm annoyed that they got rid of the automatic medic rifles. The m1907 auto version in the alpha was a lot of fun to run with.
Pretty sure you can still switch to automatic firing modes on some of the medic weapons.

There are 5-6 weapons per class, 3 variations of each gun, but still 5-6 unique ones.

Pretty good, but very inaccurate on long range. Switched back to Mondragón after playing a few maps with Sweeper and got so many more kills because every shot goes where you want it to.

My first service star was with the M1907 SL Sweeper. Fully automatic at 300 ROF. Then the Selbstlader Marksman and the Autoloading.

Aries 30 yards is hardly long range, that's about the length of the bridges on Amiens.
That's correct, but doing so with headshots whilst full auto in a face off is no easy bargain even for the most experienced
Sometimes a head shot is needed in certain situations when a body shot won't suffice; I suppose that's why.

The Factory and Storm, respectively
With the dragon, you can cancel the reload after inserting the 5 round clip by pulling the trigger.... this is great if your surrounded by multiple enemies and need to start shooting again right away.
Ive recently switched to the mondragon optical because the accuracy is better despite the lack of clip size.

How do you feel about the Cei-Rigotti variants? I had a lot of fun with the artillery variant in the open beta - it has a much smaller clip than the selbstlader 1916 but it hits like a truck and the shorter scope really excels in tighter urban areas.
It sounds like dice did a worse job balancing guns in this game even though there is a significantly less amount of weapons compared to bf4...
Caden Yancey actually they did a really good job ive been playing for 3 days and most of the weapons only perform well in there set ranges so i find myself switching weapon or class alot depending on how the match progresses.

Yeah but the extended is way weaker than the factory..you can drop someone in three shots with the factory which is why they don't let you have many bullets with it but 5 bullets just makes it unusable

The other day I was playing, on a non-vehicle map, with 2 assault guys who complained that there weren't enough medics picking them up. So I switched from medic to assault as well. Be the change that you want to see! You can do it!!!!!!

Please well you adress Random Bullet Deviation? It's just absurd in bf1. I know it was in bf4, but not as effective in bf1. I lost a LOT of gun fights just because a bullet decided to leave the barrel NOT straight but sideways. RBD ruined the experience for me.

Play the gun properly and you shouldn't have to worry about it.

I feel that the selbstlader has an extremely low bullet velocity because I always have to lead my shots so hard and just go for people who stand still idk I probably just suck
