That's what I don't like about the Optical DMRs, people are too focused on that then on the Game itself, objectives, squads and teams. Nothing like seeing our team getting massacred in the middle and a bunch of Medics hiding in the hills trying to snipe.
Ever Clara I played with a team the other day that was all medics and snipers... i was the only support... A dude in a tank was laying waste to our whole fucking team... I switched to assault and blew the tank up... Not one other person did this... I swear this game is full of retards lol

I prefer the Mondragon because it fires faster and has less recoil, and is still quite accurate.
They have identical recoil unless you're using the Storm variant

Luke Vutera No, that stats show it has more control. That's why people like it so much, it has a noticeably lower recoil.
No, while the M1916 has slightly more horizontal recoil, we're only talking .02 degrees. That's statistically insignificatn especially when factoring in the lower ROF of the M1916 it has far more control than Mondragon

Cappah Yeah, the only place in the game where they mention it is in those little game tip messages that fade in and out during loading screens. One of the messages that randomly appears says something to the effect of "equipping a bayonet reduces accuracy and the time it takes to ready your weapon after sprinting."

Derek Moore To be honest I don't even use the bayonet. Matter of fact I never see skilled players use the bayonet charge. I only see noobs who just got the game use it honestly. It's funny as hell too because if you see them they're running into walls and shit. Or they're using it from too far away and getting gunned down before they're even close enough to be a threat. Guess I'll take it off to see the difference.
David White The difference is really subtle, but as you said, how often does anyone really need it anyways? Might as well have the 2 perks instead that will always come in handy. Side note: I use the Selbstlader Optical now, having a nearly endless magazine is worth it and its still a 3 shot kill anywhere and super accurate. I'm amazed it hasn't been nerfed.
M1916 marksman for longer engagements and the Autoloader extended for upclose maps, love your work bro

m1916 is my favorite gun in the game. I shred groups of infantry without reloading. Nothing tops it in medic class for me.
You can pick off anyone with the Mondragon. If you take you time and play calm you can breeze through most situations, the m19 may have more ammo but it is just not as effective at killing. Just learn to manage your ammo and don't spam.

i like mondragon sniper. its super fast fire with the scope and bipod on that variant makes it hard not to kill your target with and the storm up close is very good. also in the video he said semis dont stand a chance against snipers witch is completely wrong since it is a counter sniper class
ALittleBitClashy I don't know why but I can't use the sniper variants so I use the optical variants, and they work fine

I love the .8 auto loader extended for pushing on the objectives.
the sniper/marksman variants of these guns are great. You should def be using those as theyre the best for mid range engagements which is what these guns are for. If you need something for close quarters the 1907 or autoloading 8 is going to far surpass the factory/optical variants of these weapons.
I personqlly love the mondragon sniper as its slightly fast fire rate and better hipfire means i come out on top in a fair amount of cqb engagements when i cant avoid them. Dont get me wrong, its not a cqb weapon, but in a pinch i find it more reliable than the 1916 marskman.
I prefer the mondragon because of the less recoil and the fact it only has 10 rounds the selbstlader has more recoil and all the ammo makes me want to fire like it's a machine gun and I hit absolutely nothing
It isn't too hard to simply click LMB a little less often. The 26 round magazine is fucking amazing, you can sustain fire for a long time, and missing shots etc is not punishing at all.
Cause you have shit aim lol, got 6k kills with the selbstlader optical, i use the ring dot, hit my opponents easly.

its 12k now since my last comment, and i'm using other weapons now, its not that hard to get kills when u play with ur fav weapon and know how to hanfle it noob.

I have the 1916, and as a new player it definitely takes some getting used to. I like to believe I'm starting to get better with it as I'm no longer near last in kills and high deaths. The optical shakes when you fire multiple shots, which typically isn't as issue at long ranges, but at close to moderate situations where the enemy flanks a surprise, it can be tricky to accurately fire. I've had many times where aiming has taken too long and I die, or the fuzzyness when aiming obscures someone dashing by.
M1916 marksman is so much better when you master it. If you're playing game modes with shitloads of infantry it absolutely rips everyone to the ground. Mondragon performs better but cmon that massive mag on the m1916 makes such a massive difference imo

trench gun for assault , medic i really like the Cei-Rigotti Factory, SUPPORT is the Lewis gun and for scout it would be the Lee-Enfield SMLE MKIII (iron sights)
ever since i got the 1916 with the scope ive gotten a much better k/d ratio. never less than 3 and if im playing with a medic friend who revives me ive been doing short domination rounds with kd ratio around 6 to 12. great rifle!!
I like them both equally and change my medic all the time. If I had to pick, it'd be the Selbtlaster 1916 because of the extra ammo in a clip

Mondragon Storm has better control, but the M1916 optical is still really good.
The Mondragon had a 30 round drum magazine historically so if that was added Mondragon would win by a mile

The mondragon is superior, handles every situation better than the 1916. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about either because it is very easy to kill snipers using the marksman variants due to the way the suppression mechanics work. Shoot one bullet at a sniper and he's suppressed, meaning his bullets won't go where he's aiming them so you can take your time lining up your shots.
I got the m1916 optical with the chancellor skin and I love it :)

Mondragon. I don't care if the 1916 has 2.5x the ammo capacity, if the guns feels clunky you won't perform well.
It feels and sounds like a crude but powerful piece of machinery, I love it.
You need to be disciplined with your fire rate however and not spam LMB unless it's close range.

BillyEatWorld Gaming I really like the mondragon more. I use optical for both of these guns, and I feel like they are equal at medium and long range, but the mondragon's fast fire rate makes it a more reliable close range weapon. The smaller mag size does hurt it, but it is only three to kill so in close range you should be able to handle two people then reload and long range it really doesn't matter cause you can just take cover and reload.

No dragon is my favourite gun in the game
I like the mondragon more because it has less recoil and a faster fire rate. Ammo capacity doesn't really matter because three shots will kill no matter what (at least for mondragon.) and I'm just used to the mondragon a lot more so it's easier to use. With the mondragon I can both out-snipe snipers and rush underground forts, and I could never do that with the m1916

I like the Mondragon because after reading that the M1918 was hardly used and if used only by pilots and the gun has maybe 2 originals left. I just think the Mondragon is a better gun in RL and looks better

Skip the long range all together? I kill snipers at range all the time with the mondragon sniper. You lost all credibility. The ranged variants destroy set to 2.5x zoom at mid to long range
Mondragon is stronger but more ammo usually helps myself more.
Pretty much every kill was from a distance that the gun struggles with, maybe next time get some close up gameplay
if you are good at the game the mondragon is so much better I personally used it and it is much better and if you compare the stats the mondragon would win in a 1v1 so if your good pick the mondragon. you will shred

neither imo, selbs rate of fire made me fell asleep and for the mondragon you hav to reload each kill or relaod for no reason at all and you want to avoid the cancerous animation when reloading it takes 20yrs......

Try the Autoloading 8 and its variants. It's a great weapon, and takes a lot of skill to use effectively. I prefer it over these two regardless of the engagement range.

Selbstlader is for nuubs and the Chancellor is fuckin ugly.. Mondragon is the coolest one (the Mexican)... They hate u when they get killed by a mondragon, thats why i love it most!!

m1916 is superior. The clip size makes it ridiculously easy to wipe entire squads/objectives and overwhelm enemy players. It's still very accurate and the recoil is not a problem at all. If you use the mondragon I feel like every game you're sacrificing kills for slightly better control.
