YES!! im so happy i stumbled by this channel! Adam is the best butterfly player thats actively competing in BJJ today. I hope there is more vids to come! His BJJFanatics Videos are an absolute GOLD for anyone serious about developing their butterfly game. Dziękuję ślicznie Adam!
Awesome video, and I love the belt grips!!! On a side note, do you ever sometimes for a belt grip use a “Georgian grip” while in the butterfly guard? Just curious. Thank you!
Great details Adam, thank you for this. You have inspired me to start playing this lovely guard. Have you seen BJJ Scout's analysis of your game?? Amazing
I feel like Marcelo Garcia has a very flat back approach to his butterfly guard though. It seems like he only turn to his side during the elevation. He also has this pull and push system which kind of allows him to lie on his back flat? Any thoughts on this?
@@nicocontreras5366 How is it better for health? Do you have some peer reviewed scientifc studies showing lying on your side prevents cancer or improve lifespan by 83% or something? 😂
I feel like Butterfly Guard is the big missing link to my bottom game... I have a great DLR, Lasso and Closed Guard, but I _really_ need to get my ass in gear with this! Thank you for posting. Can't wait to start practicing.
Great!!! I've bought your instructional on BJJ Fanatics (this is awesome stuff with great details) and this video is complementary to your dvd on Butterfly guard. Thanks a lot

Hi adam, is there a way to establish Better control in no gi butterfly 🦋 guard when u don’t have the belt to grip? Aside from the over hook and whizzer controls you went over in the no gi DVD?
this video was gold!! i my butterfly guard was better by the first 30 seconds. i was making all 5 mistakes loool !! this guy is really good with great details, keep it up brother great work!!
That explains why my butterfly guard still sucks after 1 year playing it in sparring. Knee and head position are lazy. Thank you very much, Adam! I'd love to have you for a seminar here in Leipzig - Germany some day.
nice - i've been making some of these mistakes, hopefully i can correct them with this. particularly keeping knees on outside i think will help me. thank you!
Thank you Professor Adam! I've been watching you on RUclips and I really like your techniques. Glad you started a RUclips channel, I recently subscribed. Thank you again for sharing your techniques.

would like to hear about this as well!
You can go flat if you want to attack an arm inmediately but I feel to the side is better for health.
