The first girl idol of the senior class Baby Boomers. She was HUGE on Howdy Doody as Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring. Signed for a four picture deal in Hollywood with a major studio, she was killed in a road accident with her second husband, Greg Lafayette in Billy the Kid, Wyoming on her honeymoon in her early twenties. As a young girl, the former cheerleader became a Copa Cabama showgirl in New York City. Wise and worldy wise beyond her years, she was the biggest thing on t.v. as a kid..in the early fifties. I was shattered when she left us! Starring in Jail House Rock with Elvis, with whom she had an affair, Elvis was too distraught to ever see the movie. So the two principals in that movie, Judy and Elvis..never saw the film. Judy was killed after the film wrapped...and before she saw the final cut. I visited her mausoleum in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY a few years ago. There was Judy, the vivacious and so alive Judy in an urn. It upset me very much. Rest in peace, Judy.

@@colinsludds9249 Sorry, but in many bios I read about Elvis it was true he and Judy had an affair. Judy was the wild child Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring of our beloved Baby Boomer's massively popular Howdy Doody show. To find out about Judy there is a great book out there by the son of the producer of the show. Judy was a very sophisticated Copa Cabana showgirl before the Howdy show. She and Elvis had an affair, a short one. It's all history.

@@bethvirginiaphillips4583 Not read it any book but even if was in a book don't make it true. Plus she had just got married during filming of jailhouse rock. But yes she was lovely and would of gone on to do some big roles I feel.

I saw her in jailhouse rock when I was 6-7 years old in 1990, it was my goal in life to marry this woman, and lucy ball... Oh and Mary Tyler Moore.. when I learned of her tragic death I was devastated, it just seemed like something so beautiful should be immortal and ageless to my stupid little brain. I can't imagine how it must have felt being in that time like you were. I'm sorry you had to experience the heart ache but I'm glad you were lucky enough to live through what appears to be one of the most incredible moments in recent history.

Horrible songs, those dudes weren't even clapping in time, but man did she put everything into the performance to sell it. I'd buy that ticket over and over again.
