You're not the only one! I'm having the same problem after installing a new head unit on my Toyota. Both units look surprisingly similar with the airbag/hazard light strip below the unit. I'm going to try this tomorrow. So glad I found your video.
@@frankiebosagri6863 so in my case it didn't work. It looks like the plug also carries cables for the hazard light button so I have to connect it to the head unit because it has that button. I tried to use a Y adapter to split the cable but then the car wouldn't start. It's back to the drawing board for me.
OMG.. I just bought an Android radio 5 days ago and was very mad I had this same problem until I came across this video.. This video is 1 year old and it is still helping us.. Soon as I saw this I rushed inside and grabbed my oem passenger airbag piece and plug it in and the light went away.. I am going to take that little piece off and place it inside dashboard safely.. Thank you very much for this video and to all whom it helps..We love you 😊
No you're not the only one with this problem. I too have the same problem... I took a look at the original head-unit and saw the unused connector spare in my car was in fact the male which went with the female behind the panel that has airbag light on it. I managed to pop the unit with airbag lights, hazard light button and door lock/unlock button on it. Then my friend found this video whilst searching RUclips for me. I am going to try and do what you have done tomorrow. Wish me luck
Thank you sir.... Good videos. I have the USA version of this car, 2019 Buick Cascada, from the casing my car look the same as the cars overseas. Buick for some reason chose to stop displaying the backup camera from the Navigation screen as they did for the 2016 - 2017 models. I have a crappy view of about 2" x 2" from the rearview mirror.Very difficult to see from it... No one in the USA can come up with a solution that I can read so far so will be replacing everything...Thanks again,,,,Joe
Hay mate your not the only one I also had the same problem so I went back to the old radio and removed the air bag part from the unit and used the lead that was originally supplied with the new unit and plugged it in and tested it and found no faults in the end thing is they don't tell you in the manual so some android radio's are very bad. Like mine I've got an problem with my radio stations they are very hit and miss don't seem to work all the time . But thanks for the video
Yes, owners/installation manuals are very bad in these. I don't know, why it's so hard to make a good manual, they have to do it only once. My radio doesn't work, it's very bad, even if i have an antenna amplifier.
@@kaukolaDIY dachte immer die Beifahrer Airbag Lampe muss für den TÜV sichtbar bleiben. Du hast das Modul ja da versteckt. 🤔 Mein Tesla Radio kommt morgen. Bin mal gespannt wie alles klappt. Habe auch noch die tollen Flexride Tasten. 😅
@patrickrabensteiner2385 I don't have ECO function in my car, and this aftermarket radio what i have, doesn't support ECO-function. It doesn't have place for ECO or Sport buttons. I saw online some "Tesla-style" radios for Astra J, which support those buttons. And some also support passenger airbag lights.

Let me know how it goes or any alternative fixes please!

Same problem here I will try this tomorrow!
How do you connect the ECO botton??

Got the same problem lol
