Bjork's visuals are always on another level, she's in her own league, and that from the start, since her first album, Debut, she was incredibly creative and artistic
The addition of arca on the music video for Arisen My Senses is very important and sweet because Arisen is a rework of one of Arca's first songs, it's called Little Now A Lot
1- The Gate, Björk worked with long-time collaborators Andrew Thomas Huang and James Merry. 2- The Video Arisen My Senses was made in close collaboration between Björk, director Jesse Kanda. 3- Blissig Me was directed by Tim Walker and Emma Dalzell. 4- The Utopia Video was made in close collaboration between Björk, director Jesse Kanda. 5- Tabula Rasa-The metamorphic visuals are directed by the artist Tobias Gremmler. Berlin based drag performer Hungry was Bjork's make-up artist for Utopia album and the Cornucopia Tour and James Merry make her headpiece and. Mask.
21:20 "Maybe that sound nuts . . . . . but if you like Bjork, I think you will get what I am saying" -- Absolutely - I am with you there 100%, my dear! :)
And yes, The Gate was directed by the same guy who did Cellophane, Andrew Thomas Huang, his work is super cool and he has a lot of short films on yt, they've been collaborating since her 2011 alb called Biophilia
But the other were done by other artists, Arisen was made by a visual artist called Jesse Kanda who's a friend of Arca and a frequent collaborator of hers, Utopia were done by a couple of directors and Tabula Rasa was done by Tobias Gremmler who did the visuals for the Cornucopia tour, the video for Tabula Rasa actually plays during the live performance and another video of the Utopia era, Losss, is also done by him and it's also a visual of the show
I went to see Bjork for Volta and she sang Unravel while playing the piano and I was hi out of my mind and her performance made me cry haha. Like, I was so emotional cause I love that song so much and she sounded so good live. I’ll always cherish that concert.
arisen my sense was actually inspired by the mating process of leopard slugs. they both use their male organs in the mating process which is why the two “cocoons” are shaped like a phallus. beyond that though to me her being inside the cocoon also represents the anima and animus which in psychology means the feminine parts of the masculine psyche and vice versa. i think in a way shes conquering this masculinity/patriarchy by symbolically gestating in it and coming out anew. in turn coming out as a moth which in bjorks mind is the phoenix.
this was awesome. i loved all your björk reaction videos. you just made me realize once again how much feeling there is yet to discover in each song. thank you!!!
This was an Unexpected Surprise ☺️☺️🥰🥰🥰, Thanks for the Upload 🤗🤗🤗. One of the Few Artists who's Visuals Rival the Songs. I hope you get a chance to go thru Her Discography so you can truly witness her Musical Evolution. Lastly, if you get a chance I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, Watching the Video for, LOSSS, it's also a Computer Generated Graphics like, Tabula Rasa.
I recommend you to listen to Homogenic and Then Vespertine, and then at the end to listen to Vulnicura, maybe to understand a little bit better Utopia, Love you, great video.
The Cure For Me video comes out tomorrow for me in the uk ! I'm not listening to the song yet because I will react to it with the video , I'm so tempted though hahah !!!
Hi, watch and react to Eden's music and clips, he's very talented, but he's not well known, his songs are wonderful, I'm from Brazil and I love your channel, thank you so much!
@@pinminhav Absolutely ! So much memories as a child watching the dvd. All the creative simplicities and minimalism of the stage design created a real playful experience. You wanted to play with them too. The already powerful design of the controllers shown simply, the sound design and loops aspects of the production enhanced by the movement of the body and a bit of fiction. Björk, the choral, matmos, the orchestra, the dresses, every aspect was an instrument with their own specifications, tones in colour and in imagination. And of course, of course, the feathers and the music box ... I'm going to watch it now, it's been so long. Thanks for reminding me of this treasure.
Absolutely obsessed with this album. I think a lot of the older fans get caught up in Björk's older sound, and don't want to see her change as a artist. That can happen sometimes. Acrually, a bunch of Aurora fans were mad when Infections of a different Kind came out cause it didn't sound like her first album! Thats why with Björk, I think starting from her latest work and moving backwards is the best way to react. Utopia and Vulnicura are my two favorite albums, and I think that's because I was able to see them in a very raw fresh way without any preconceived notions about how they were "supposed to sound like" for a Björk album. I'd love to see you react to Vulnicura! And so happy your favorite video was Loss. Thats my fav as well! Much love. Also, think you could save room to react to Vulnicura and another Charli xcx album perhaps next month?
Yeah I’m glad I’ve done it this way ! No prejudice what so ever ! I definitely hope to listen to both those artists next month but can never be sore what will happen next haha 😂 ! But I know I will in the near future because I really want to !
Bjork's visuals are always on another level, she's in her own league, and that from the start, since her first album, Debut, she was incredibly creative and artistic

Can’t wait for the Vulnicura music video marathon ;)
(Notget has two version , both amazing)
I think it's worth watching the vr version of Family and Quicksand too, both are on yt

The Gate music video is one of the absolute best one for me! Also the track!!!

Berlin based drag performer Hungry was Bjork's make-up artist for Utopia album and the Cornucopia Tour and James Merry make her headpiece and. Mask.
Just a little correction: the Utopia video was directed by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones who worked previously with her on the Notget video

Looking for the director I just discovered that Tobias Gremmler posted the visual for Body Memory on his channel too

"Tabula Rasa" is a masterpiece!
The keys on Blissing Me sound like Arca song Gratitud
GIRL you have to watch the videoclip of notget (bjork's vulnicura) RIGHT NOW
Bjork is not a singer she is Bjork, her whole body and being is her instrument.
Tabula rasa is literally bjork’s audition tape to play the fungi in the last of us😂
