46 songs? This should be hailed as much as The Eras Tour or Renaissance 😭
you’re right and you should say it
My thoughts exactly! Though I think Taylor and Beyoncé are being acclaimed because they also dance while performing and because their catalogs are less wide than Björk's but they still manage to pull 3 hours long concerts. But anyways, we still gotta give it up for Björk because damn! Singing so well and during such a long time at her age? Impressive.
it was filmed in different sets/days (4) and compiled here
considering the quality here presented , i would say one cannot even compare it to the others ....As much as i Love Beyonce , Bjork is something very special in History ...she is totally unique and always in research of the pueest connection to Nature i' ve ever felt in music .... i think this is in fact more shows here presented as one .... in any case Bjork is Unique and Excellent ( as well as all the musicians she involved to create this amazing show)
@@vitorialunaS2i would assume that ... impossible show to do at once at,least for her 😅

Love how Bjork always steps aside during instrumental bits and lets the musicians have their moment.
Did I miss this, or are you talking about the costume changes, such as the one between Pluto and Show Me Forgiveness?
@@le_th_ lot of songs have instrumental bits and she usually steps to the side of the stage to let to have their moment.
she always did this since the begining. i love it too
Nobody has ever done that before in the history of mankind.
@@captainswing4487 i know, what a banal asanine comment...
She looks soooo happy when sing songs from Medulla, because this show is what she wished Medulla tour probably would be sound if it had happened at that time :)
Thats a very interesting observation!
What happened during her Medulla tour or didn't happen 🤔😅. I'm glad she's happy performing.
@@bshays21 she was pregnant!!😊🎉
@@jorgeherrera-uo2pr Ísadóra was born in 2002, Medúlla is from 2004. The reason there wasn’t a tour is because it was too complex to perform live since all of the instrumentation was done with human voices. It would’ve taken years of just rehearsals and she was already starting another project with the movie/soundtrack for Drawing Restraint 9
@@marcosdenett if It would’ve taken years of just rehearsals, so probably they are rehearsing since 2004 then 🤣🤣

She could have stopped singing after this...like THIS is the testament. I'm glad she continues. A masterpiece in all regards...
I saw her Orchestral performance at coachella on acid and i completely bawled the whole way through it was amazing
Good stuff mate
I got misty-eyed just reading that sentence.
What year was that?
You dropped acid, I was on an IV 7 months pregnant. Was I supposed to be on bed rest? Yes. Did I ignore my doctor for Björk? Hell yes! My son is now 16 and a Björk fan. When he was a baby and toddler he would kiss the tv screen when i would put on one of her concerts. He’s been listening to her from the womb. 😂

She takes really good care of here voice. Hasn't lost it one bit. Her voice is just so beautiful.
I thought for a moment that her voice got better, but maybe it's just me getting old.
She does now. She blew it out in like 2008-2009 and had to have surgery to repair her nodules. You could hear some damage in it during Voltaic in like 2008. Then you watch her live stuff from Biophilia in like 2011-2012 and her voice sounds so much clearer after having the nodules removed.
She literally has to take two breaths for any of the long lines now. I saw this tour live in Berlin. She doesn't have the lung volume anymore she used to have. It's very noticeable in this video here as well.
@@sonicbloomtuts i mean, she is a human being and she aged so of course she wouldn'd have the same vocal power she had in her youth, though she still can blow some of these new singers out of the roof

Beautiful
Dearest Björk,
I've been listening to you since the early nineties, when I was a teenager and each lyric that you write are a sort of storytelling of my life's journey and I am be thrilled thinking that you are a collection of my emotional peaks.
Your voice is my soundtrack to sing, moan, squeal and whisper!
Gratitudes back to you, warmth and endless respect.
You are ART in everything you do!
Claudia
I hope she read this :) you can give her a Gmail maybe
Yh well said..she'd be cool to meet lol,but keep distance, let her get plenty sleep, and don't invade her 3×3 🤣😂✌️🍻
What an immensely thoughtful complement
30 years repeating herself😴
Instead, nice to see her growth!
Her still being able to belt Vertabrae by Vertabrae is amazing
Bjork is so unique, creative, & out of this world. No one today sounds like her & nor will there ever be. She is a true gem.
The question i have for you is: why should someone else sound like her??
Because the variety of sound she produces is very desirable, and I consume her music faster than she can produce it in replayable quality? I mean that I literally listen to her albums to the point of listening fatigue, or until I natural lose the energy of interest.
Now, I personally don't actually think it's _necessary_ for anybody else to even adopt her style. But I can definitely see why someone might feel that way. Björk couldn't possibly hope to fill the entire spectrum of music in this kind of style in her lifetime. Well, it begs the question what "this kind of style" is exactly. She sets musical trends and moves along gradually. I don't see the problem with anybody else picking up the baton she left on her way to continue what she started.
Because of her innovative trail of works, I believe it should be celebrated when her legacy grants her that tribute in the form of albums in a similar style. It's not as if she couldn't be enjoyed creatively just as she is commercially.
I'm so happy I got to see her perform live. In this lifetime. It is such an honor. There is no one else like her.
She is extremely respectful and tactful of the music and the musicians and the composition. This is her legacy. Also she plays with the musicians so to provide them livelihood during covid. I'm in awe of her
stonemilker is one of the most beautiful pieces i´ve ever heard.
Björkの歌を聴くとき程母国語が日本語なのがめちゃくちゃ悔やまれる…和訳だけじゃ伝わらないナチュラルに入る言語で聴いてみたい。

This has to be Bjork’s concert masterpiece
I think that is the vespertine live show from around 2001 (haven't seen them all though)
This is the second, the one at the royal opera house it's still the best
ISOBELLE...
i was thinking the same,it s amazing how she started from being the most different artist in contemporary music, filled of beats, loops, strange instruments...to move on expoerimenting with more classical intsruments, then choirs, strippin it down til the core, doping an album with just voices, to then start anew with a renewed consciousness about music and melodies and search of inspiration .....to end up here in a sorta Classical Concert but totally Bjork Style.... i m astonished so far (finished hearing joga now)........her look is incredible, her voice sounds good as before, and the vocal and lyrical expression is excellent...the Orchestra really enhances her dramathic feel ,i love this
Her vocals are not that great tbh... :/

Love Bjork so much. I remember getting her album post on cassette tape in 96 when I was a teenager in middle school. I used to listen to it Alot. None of my other friends liked her stuff but I was into all kinds of music and found her music to be extremely soulful and inspiring. I thank bjork because I learned so much from her and truly have lived free to just be myself. That's all we really need to do. Learn to just be ourselves, love who we are, and work on becoming better. Enjoy the ride and give everything your best shot. You are worthy. *Chase initiation and ascend. I believe in you*
Mmmm! A truly amazing artist and probably one of the most innovative and individual voices in contemporary music. It’s quite an achievement to put together over three hours of music which requires an inordinate amount of stamina. Kudos! I’ve seen her quite a few times live through the years and I must say that her voice doesn’t seem to have its usual power and command in this performance that I’ve experienced in the past. But what an incredible artist:)))
she had vocal nodule surgery around 2012, and she's also in her late fifties. she can't howl or screech like her younger days, but her voice definitely still has a lot of power and weight.
I agree it's not as strong... but it made me feel like I was sitting in front of a fire listening to someone tell beautiful stories.
