      My thoughts exactly! Though I think Taylor and Beyoncé are being acclaimed because they also dance while performing and because their catalogs are less wide than Björk's but they still manage to pull 3 hours long concerts. But anyways, we still gotta give it up for Björk because damn! Singing so well and during such a long time at her age? Impressive.

      The question i have for you is: why should someone else sound like her??

    • @___xyz___
      @___xyz___ 9 месяцев назад +4

      Because the variety of sound she produces is very desirable, and I consume her music faster than she can produce it in replayable quality? I mean that I literally listen to her albums to the point of listening fatigue, or until I natural lose the energy of interest.
      Now, I personally don't actually think it's _necessary_ for anybody else to even adopt her style. But I can definitely see why someone might feel that way. Björk couldn't possibly hope to fill the entire spectrum of music in this kind of style in her lifetime. Well, it begs the question what "this kind of style" is exactly. She sets musical trends and moves along gradually. I don't see the problem with anybody else picking up the baton she left on her way to continue what she started.
      Because of her innovative trail of works, I believe it should be celebrated when her legacy grants her that tribute in the form of albums in a similar style. It's not as if she couldn't be enjoyed creatively just as she is commercially.

      i was thinking the same,it s amazing how she started from being the most different artist in contemporary music,filled of beats, loops, strange instruments...to move on expoerimenting with more classical intsruments,then choirs,strippin it down til the core,doping an album with just voices, to then start anew with a renewed consciousness about music and melodies and search of inspiration .....to end up here in a sorta Classical Concert but totally Bjork Style.... i m astonished so far (finished hearing joga now)........her look is incredible,her voice sounds good as before,and the vocal and lyrical expression is excellent...the Orchestra really enhances her dramathic feel ,i love this
