As a kid, this was hard for me :') but I was satisfied by the results and my mom is proud. Thank you
As a 21 year old this won’t work hahah
Same
It works
@@Kalimbarimait works
I tried this using a much thicker paper; the thin foil he is using is a must have for this model. The paper i used was way too thick, it kept the whole model from retaining its shape under its own weight, and kept the delicate legs, and accordion folds on the shell and horn of the beetle to lose their shape as well. The thin foil paper allows you to build up multiple layers of paper without the angles of your folds becoming less accurate, and it makes folding thicker parts of the model like the legs much easier
As an 11 year old boy this was hard for me but i made this one very easily and i have also finished your Hercules beetle.
Your models are really better than Jeremy Shafer's. I love your models.
This is just fabulous. This beetle is my very first origami insect. Thankyou very much JO NAKASHIMA for making and sharing such outstanding tutorials.
I love the time and effort you put into these videos. I'm on my way to making a new beetle!
You're a great graphic, photographer and, of course, origamist from what i can see thanks to your videos. So much respect for you, you deserve that many subscribers!

After 6 beetles I made it, It looks SICK AF. I'll make a little paper box and a clip as a base and I'll put for my guests to see. These are by far the best origami tutorials ATM.
Excellent !!! C'est le premier insecte difficile que je réussis. Merci beaucoup. Les explications sont parfaites.
I made it, it turned out 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 but one question, how is this model the same difficulty to the origami Ancient Dragon which is also complex?
It's not there are easier complex origami and hard complex origami
Thanks Jo, wonderful. With thin paper (Tissue foil) its easy to do.
You make such great, high quality videos. Thank you.
Thank you for this "repeat step" button!!! It helped me a LOT!!! I mean if you didn't understand anything, you can just click this button and repeat the step instead of pausing the video and try it by yourself!!! THANK YOU!!!

I think that how can some people dislike this type of origami
I'm filled with an indescribable dread every time the words "open sink" show up on your videos

Who else thinks the open-sink folds were SO satisfying?
Oh my gosh!!!!!!!! I made it!!!!! I really did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH JO!
I remember hearing from math prof in uni like 15 years ago that string theory is just a math model that can model anything, hence having no real value or application.
Wow this is very good 😊
Super real !!!!!!! 😱😱😱
Your video is very good ! I love it !!!
+정지훈 thank you
It's amazing! Your make me feel inspired! I can suggest your to make tutorial about origami husky! I'll be so pleased if your can help me to make it by your tutorial :)
My first insect !!! a real pleasure !!! but I long to understand half the fourth tip is not bent completely like the others ... because- too sure of myself - I was not looking good; we must be humble when you fold. Thank you for these two demonstrations: -} (sorry to go through the machine translation)
This feels like the natural continuation after making the Hercules beetle, but I kind of want to try something new.
Onward I go!
Where do you get your paper? I need to get some!
Made the mistake of using paper, the initial collapse worked some creases that easily tore when I expanded the body. I will retry once I get my hands on some good foil.
Dude you are a legend
mah farst ehnsect ohrighameh!! YAHHHHHSS TAHNK YOH JOHH!!!
so talented
I made it, I am making a demo of it today :)
nice
you cant steal someone others craft a show the demo to others
Lots of your models are amazing - this one is no exception (aside from being exceptional..)
Have you ever/are you contemplated(ing) making a combo book/DVD set, like LaFosse & Alexander do?
Paper folding makes great ASMR noises :3
U are talented
Cmon we gotta get this to 1M views
