- Some friends of mine were teaching a Norwegian Timber Framing class at North House Folk School and they asked me to come down and hang. I brought my trusty Grae Dog and my resonator guitar to play some improvised slide blues. I’ve always loved old work songs and their purpose. They keep up morale, productivity, and give people something positive for their minds to wander off to. So I chopping on my guitar while they chopped on their logs and made music that way.
Here you can see my friend Kjetil Groven a famous blacksmith swinging his axe and eventually cracking up with me. It’s hard work and fun. What a magical place to hang on the north shore of Minnesota!
👏👏👏👏 Gonna get me a resonator one day. Probably a Gretsch Honey Dipper
This one is a republic and it’s super nice. Love gretsch guitars too!
I chop wood well to the live version of "The Union Forever" by Jack White.
Damn it's good to see you active again Alex.
I’ll have to look that up!
Thanks so much for the kind words!!
Great to see you creating content again, miss your carving videos big time.
Thanks so much! Slowly getting back into the swing of things when I have free time after carving
Magical.
Thanks!
