To address some of the previous comments: This program does not teach you how to read tablature. It simply displays tabs in a form that's much easier to read and follow along with, while giving you a playback option and individual tracks for each instrument.. Also, the more "specific section" of the review starts at 3:00, for those who would like to skip ahead.
I'm a beginner and have been using Fender Play a few weeks and I'm up to level 3 so I wanted to try to finally learn a complete song with the strumming and chords laid out. The problem I am having is I wanted to learn a simple song like Amazing Grace and when I look at the Tabs I'm thinking WTF how do they get 22 different chord shapes for one simple song and this is supposed to be an absolute beginner song. Then when I look at the chord sheet it doesn't have any chord shapes shown it's all single string strums like a riff so I am thinking I just peed away $69.99 for a year because I have yet to find a beginner song that makes any sense to me at all. I am extremely disappointed and it looks like this is going to be a waste of money for me at least for now.
I would consider buying for a one time fee. I do not like monthly installments. I refuse a lot of programs for that kind of fraud. Permanent, never ending payments feels like slavery.
Of course you can cancel, but to enjoy the full product I have to pay monthly *for life* that was the point. That is non sense exspecially for a guitar tab program.
You would be reading tabs. If that won't help you, it won't help you. I'd say that's your prerogative. It's basically just a way to upgrade UG as a tab resource and give you more flexibility (separated instrument tracks, adjust playback speed, more accurate tabs).
why writing a comment without watching the whole video? first that are not notes, it's tabs and they are honestly stupid easy to understand. but besides that you could just use the function which shows the fretboard. it couldn't be easier
Anybody else's backing tracks never work ? I don't think I'm missing anything you literally just click on "backing track" at the top of the tab. But for me.... It only works like 5% of the time ...
@@Guitarchalk Have you checked the reviews on UG 45% of 395 (Trustspot) people all complained about overcharging and zero support. In free version there was a popup video of a guitar player (wearing a red top) seemingly playing each song - but it was silent. After I paid membership it does not appear anymore, why?

Hello, I am new to ultimate guitar pro. Is there a way when you use an official or pro tab for the intro part to assign 1 guitar, verse an another guitar? Cause now I can see the intro tabs but as soon verse begins, no more tabs, unless I click the right guitar but then during chorus, I have to change again. Thank you
Hey Davy - from what I understand, this is not possible, unless there's a "single guitar" version that has been tracked. Let me double-check with their support staff.
Fellow beginner guitarist here, I have no idea how to use this app whatsoever. Like okay I get that you need G Am And C for this song but now what?? Like what's the strumming pattern and how long do I hold the chord for?

This is terrible service. I took a yearly subscription because I saw an advertisement on the site that they had a video on how to play the song I wanted. After I paid, the video disappeared, and support sent me to the course page and no longer contacts me.
It's a review. There isn't really a de facto point. I'm not just going to get on here and say, "Hey, UG Pro is good, or UG Pro is bad." I'm going to explain my experience and my reasoning. So if you're too distracted or impatient to hear that, you could just fast forward the video. Otherwise, maybe you weren't really expecting/wanting a review. My shortened summary? I like it. I think it's worth the few bucks a month. But if you don't want to pay anything, just use Songsterr.
@@Guitarchalk lol, gotta admit, i just wanted the summary myself....not being a jerk, just giving feedback. thanks for making this video and giving your experience, not many videos out there for this type of thing as it's less flashy than pedals and new guitars.

Thanks. What would I do without you.
This would have been a great review if we could have heard some audio of the tab playing and backing track. Thanks though, it does look good.

How’s the course
In the search, can you search for a type, e.g., "blues"?
Hmm. My guess is that will search for the name of a song or band with the word "blues" in it.

Same for me
It does works?
What do the “Solo” and “Mute” buttons do??
If I have the song and chords on my iPad screen, does it show a whole page at a time, or do I need to stop playing and scroll down?

no way to do that. its a pretty common complaint that they get.
is it possible to transpose on the app? the vocalist in our band changes the key of songs a lot.
I believe so.
when it says transpose up down 1, does that shift it so the tuning is down a step and compensates?

Hello. How can i know the accostic verison of guitar tabs or show it. Is all the tabs are the same?
Could you explain the backing track feature????
Hey Luis - I assume you're referring to the MIDI track that plays along with the tab?
So is it good?
Yeah, it's good. Depends on what you're looking for but I think it's a great resource.
Is there a way to convert to Nashville numbers in the Pro account?
Sorry, Allen - but I don't believe so, at least not that I'm seeing.
Are you allowed to export any of the midi/tracks?
