It’s part of the ignition assembly. It’s on the opposite side of the ignition. Remove Two screws, then gently pull it off. If you don’t intend on fixing it soon, you can put the collar back on like was done in the video with the ignition switch hanging out. Don’t want anyone to steal your car, in case you leave or glued the chip right above the trans receiver, you can unplug the ignition switch and take it with you or hide inside your car.
If you keep using the screwdriver to turn the switch and the steering wheelblocks, then remove the ignition and rotate it slightly so it can not engage to lock anymore.
the steering lock has engaged in the ignition assembly you’ll have to take it off to reset it and you may need a new one if the assembly is malfunctioning. you can drive it around without just need the key for the transponder and something to turn the ignition switch
had a locksmith come look at it and he stated the assembly needed to be replaced. i’ve been driving without an ignition and using the fob to activate the transponder and turn the ignition switch to turn the car on.
Would that work if I didn’t have a fab? Just two keys? It’s a 2005 Honda crv the ignition wouldn’t turn over steering wheel is locked and cannot figure it out for the life of me how to bypass ignition when it’s not turning and etc
@@kalebmarrs1057 having the same issue. Figured out this bypass after taking the whole thing apart. I was so excited to start my car until I realized the wheel would not unlock even after reversing and driving back and forth a few times.
What about unlocking the steering wheel?
Thank you so much for this major help!
Ya what about the steering wheel lock

My fiancé did this but the steering wheel locked after he did it. Do you know how to fix that issue?

Lol where'd you get 2 keys?
How do you get the ignition switch out?
I explained in comments above who asked something similar.
Does it shut it off too
What if the wheel is unable to turn? Does the key assembly need to be replaced or this a security system?
Any luck?

Ah crap that is no good. So you were not able to start it at all?
I switch the 63-0006
Switch
Interruptor and now I’m having the same issues. Do I need to get a lock smith to fix this problem?
But why not to change a cylinder?
Do you want to rekey the whole car, not to mention the programming costs.
This is useless
It’s not tha complicated. You’re not rebalancing your camshaft’s or something
