I have a question and don’t get me wrong, this is very nicely played. I couldn’t help but notice that you use a side-to-side violinist-style vibrato. I grew up using that exclusively and always thought it worked just fine. It’s just that most lessons I see emphasize the up-and-down vibrato that one does see most of the big name players using, so I’ve been working on changing over to that (though I always find it too challenging with my index finger - but that’s not the question). I’m asking you for your opinion and advice on the value of spending practice time changing a very old habit. Thanks.
Hi Carl ! Different vibratos have different sounds. I usually use this vibrato in gypsy jazz because it is more subtle than the "up and down" one. The main reason why you should spend time learning a new technique (which is different from "changing a habit") should be the sound : if you like it, learn that technique. The final goal should be to be able to use the vibrato you like for the sound you want to bring in the moment :-) I hope that helps.
Such dynamic playing, a simple melody but you seem to make each note rise out of the the guitar
Buono, easy, tre beaux, bravo!
Lovely, very instructive video!

Agreed, I find this vibrato quite tasteful!
