Just beautiful! Elia and Josep work so very well together -- two such outstanding musicians with an incredible feeling for so many different types of music. Wonderful!
As a young person, violin was not a favorite of mine. Now as an octogenarian, it is my favorite musical instrument. As an American where jazz was born, I recognize it has since migrated to Joan Chamorro's Spain. Three strings and percussion--such incredibly beautiful, minimal, essential, jazz instrumentation, the works of genius!
Yep, the greatest of great instrumentalist to date out of Hogwarts Music Academy (and that's a high heap of them) stretching even Josep to new heights. This takes nothing away from Elia's fabulous achievements, but looking back at the performances from before 2014 to this sumptuous artistry, the good Professor's strategy of providing real musical challenge at the highest levels has rewarded us all and Elia with a gorgeous future.
Such a delightful performance! I love the intro with the dissonant chords. The guitarist, I apologize as I don’t know his name, is so very expressive and at the same time subdued, such a delicate and delightful balance. Elia of course is queen of the universe! Senór Chamorro holds court with his exquisite bass lines.
Èlia crushes it again, as usual. Very nice solo from Josep also, although I wish they had added some compression to his guitar solo, as some of the soft bits get lost in the mix. But still, very nice!
Elia commands of course, she is an unequaled virtuoso. But I have to commend Josef on guitar for his exquisite passages. Joan’s bass lines , so expertly done are the foundation of the whole successful effort!
Violonistas de jazz, referencias... Stephane Grappelli, Ponty, Lockwood, Stuff Smith, Joe Venuti, Lombardo... mujeres ? Regina Carter, Sara Caswell y ...
Heavenly rendition of one of Django’s finest compositions! Fantastic and thanks for sharing!

The drums added later, I guess.
Studios often have drums in an isolated booth or area.
