    Good information on what can go wrong.

      Yeah, lots of other videos show how easy it can be, but honestly doing this was such a headache that I would just pay someone to do it. Recording the footage for this video took me all day, and the only way this headliner could be temporarily fixed was by removing the insulation from it.

      @@CrazyCarMods Thank you for your explanation and good video of what happens! You explained it very well! This might work for a temporary fix.

    • @CrazyCarMods

      Its definitely temporary. Once the insulation starts to go bad it a matter of time, till fix the right way.

    A really good demonstration and a superior explanation of how the headliner can be repaired--both the easy and bad way and the proper way. Thanks for the way you presented the problems and the proper way of doing the work.

    This is not the right way to do it, take out the whole thing and do it properly with new fabric

    • @CrazyCarMods
      @CrazyCarMods  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, this only a temporary fix. I will be updating this video to show people the truth facts and what will actually happen if done this temporary way. There are a few videos out there that are miss leading. Therefore it good to document so people know exactly what they will be dealing with. Must definitely the best option is to take out all the fabric and start from scratch.

    It’s the actual foam layer that deteriorates not the old adhesive so really it’s a case of complete removal and either recover or paint

    No hagan eso. Si no lo saben hacer no lo intenten. Ese era uno de mis trabajos. Se saca el headliner , se limpia bien y la persona debe saber ponerlo. No es nada fácil y coge 😮horas en hacerlo.

    Great video ~ so you want to wait a minute for it to get tacky right? I tried it once , and tried to stick it right away and it bled through the fabric , like you could see it..
    Is that because I applied it while it was wet.

    I don't care for the money(just a little bit😂) my problem is that I can't find a fabric like mine so instead of buying a new one, I will opt to just buy a 3mm foam adhesive from one side and then glue the original fabric on it. Do you think this will work?

    • @CrazyCarMods
      @CrazyCarMods  Месяц назад +1

      I will work as long as the insulation is not damaged. Just dont spray the fabric itself. Be careful with the over spray. Good luck bro.

    • @Ormigo111
      @Ormigo111 Месяц назад

      @@CrazyCarMods I bought a new fabric on Amazon. I must say that it was the best choice not to mess with the old one. Another advice I would give is to always paint it by hand and not use spray glue. Unfortunately my glue can finished as I bought only one, so in some parts I had to use the spray glue I had and in some points it appeared on the surface of the fabric😬 That's it.
