I luv the Iceland Jury spokeswoman - she has a "whistley" accent ........... think of the Sound of Music " Toot Sweets" .. she whistles when she talks - cute! And I luv how she gives low marks to fellow Scandanavs!
Edyta Górniak from Poland was the best, voice was so brilliant that it's amaizing even today. But she couldn't win ,Edyta was just from Poland, that's all.
And when everyone thought they would be one of the top contenders (and mind you, they should have been if you ask me. The juries were out of it, again.).
@MrEurocat It's funny that you should say this, because I never realised this about Icelandic accents until I moved abroad. I can't help but pronounce the letter s with this whistling end to it, sh. And yeah, I do like that the Icelandic jury gave points to most of my favourites - apart from my fave, though, the UK. :(
what exactly was unforgetable in the voting ? it was one of the boring voting since we knew from the very start who won and no one could even get near it
@selectaname I believe what you are thinking of was in 1986, when the Dutch spokesman gave the jury's first five points, all to Scandinavia, then remarked "That must be enough for Scandinavia, I think." We (Iceland) have never given Denmark anything as low as 3 points, actually, but in 1994 (as you can see in the video) we did give Norway and Sweden the lowest scores we could.
The first three juries had the right idea... all downhill from then on! I remember being confused because I couldn't remember even what the Hungarian song was like - it hadn't struck me at all. How wrong I was.
@setheurovision94 i checked some votings and block voting was worse when only jury decided. + all our songs (from sweden) get high votes from the people and never good from jurys.
@idcydk91 What, you think the all-televoting was better? The way block voting was sucking any sense of competition out of the voting? It's great the way it is now with 50/50.
@setheurovision94 But he ist really a "legend" in Austria, and he has a wonderful voice, I think (and hardly anyone can pronounce the German as perfect as he does). --- Ernst Grissemann---
That has nothing to do with bloc voting, only taste. How was the voting more fair with full televote when large numbers of people living abroad from their country (or with a very tied connection to a particular country) could unfairly influence results by the numbers, when jury votes tended to be far more balanced irrespective of countries?
Poland was simply the best. Edyta deserved for the victory !!! ;)
Poland - BEST!
Polish and Hungarian two brothers to the sword and to the vine!
The best start for HUNGARY! ♥

Gerry Ryan passed away yesterday at the age of 53, exactly on the 16th anniversary of his co-presenting the ESC (30.04.1994).

HUNGARY-POLAND the best eveeeeeeeer!! :)

Poland should win! One time...Deserved this :)
3 12's in a row! OMG!

The voting did indeed go really badly for the United Kingdom (unfortunately so). Also, how did that crap from Malta get so many votes??
The first three juries had the right idea... all downhill from then on! I remember being confused because I couldn't remember even what the Hungarian song was like - it hadn't struck me at all. How wrong I was.
It's so sad when it the very beginning, they cheer for every country but Germany when it gets points... I feel so hated :
Gerry Ryan's Tie..... Deux Point! Haha
Also "By the power of satellite television"
Those were the days
Poland is the best
Ya'll ought to vote more often!
@setheurovision94 i checked some votings and block voting was worse when only jury decided. + all our songs (from sweden) get high votes from the people and never good from jurys.
What is wrong with Slovakia's flag? Haven't they had the same one since independence?
They have. It is indeed the worst flag by far on this rather visually-poor scoreboard, don't know why they had the emblem centered for one thing.
@@Euroviking86 also the blue is too light
@idcydk91 What, you think the all-televoting was better? The way block voting was sucking any sense of competition out of the voting? It's great the way it is now with 50/50.
POLAND WAS THE BEST! GO POLSKA!
Does anyone know Irish, so to tell us what Cynthia and the Irish spokesperson are talking about? Thanks in advance.
Portugal had the best song this year in my opinion...that´s why the got 8 from Ireland and Iceland...pitty it was not 12 points
@setheurovision94

Poland and Hungary :)
Thanks for that info. :)

Hello I'm also talking about the pastel color jacket he had on earlier in the show that was jus a plain horror.
Gerry Ryan's French accent. FFS!
LOL Thank you Sweden and good evening :D Gee, FAIL :D
Hahah its true
You would NEVER catch anyone in bright yellow these days
Já, þetta er hún, en hún var ekki farin að kalla sig Sirrý þá, að ég held.
@protencja no, the irish song is the best... hence it won...
sweden the first country to vote via satellite :)
Je t'aime Cynthia Ní Mhurchú. La Sharon Ní Bheoláin de la 90s.
He blabbers so much, you can hardly hear what's happening.
Ireland jury " United Kingdom 1 point " as Nan would say........." what a load of old shite"
Takk fyrir ;-)
Portugal should have won this!
Er Sirrý að gefa stigin frá íslensku dómnefndinni? Ég meina þá sirrý úr Sirrý á sunndagsmorgnum
No, come on, that is pure exaggeration. One colourful tie doth not 'worse than the worst from the 80s' make. :)
It's my all time favourite ESC year but Gerry Ryan's outfit is horrible omg this is worse than the worst from the 80's
douze PWAWWW!
Portugal merecia ganhar!
Portugal the best
@setheurovision94 LOL
