One of the songs that got me into Eurovision. One of the best in a year full of greats, so I'm surprised it just missed the top ten. '93-'97 is a golden era of Eurovision. So many good songs.
@@JeSuisRene What's weird is that I heard it was when industry opinion of Eurovision was at its lowest because of how many times Ireland won. Look, for better or worse, they made countries think a lot less commercially, and we got better music from it.
@@SuperJNG18 we did, though at no point in the 90s did I believe Ireland should have won (I know, unpopular opinion)! 90. Yugoslavia 91. Sweden 92. Malta 93. Switzerland 94. Germany 95. Spain 96. Sweden 97. United Kingdom 98. United Kingdom 99. Iceland

@@SuperJNG18 in 94, they had a really good song, but the winning margin does annoy me when there were many good songs. Re 96, it is the best of Ireland's winners in the 90s, definitely, and was one of the great songs of 96 (along with Cyprus, Estonia, Malta, Austria, Portugal, Norway and Sweden).
23 years on, and I'm still annoyed that it didn't do much better. Beating Katrina & the waves was out of reach but an 7th or 8th placing should have been doable.

I honestly think this could win Eurovision nowadays. It's so unique and atmospheric.
This song is like being enveloped by a wall of ageless sound. It's just brilliant in every way.
It sounds like it comes from another world
This is for me one of the Eurovision greats. We don't care about the placing; it will stay in our memory forever.
1997 was one of the best ever Eurovisions. Probably 15 good songs.
@@Clavinovaman Right, but in my my opinion the winner didn't deserve first place
@@trabik601 Oh it was a great performance.
Poland 1996 & 1997 are 2 of my 25 favorite Eurovision songs of all time. It's truly a crime neither of them even finished top-10.
One of the best Eurovision songs ever. Pure magic.
Indeed. But 1997 was actually one of the best ever Eurovisions. Most of the songs were good.
@@Clavinovaman Yes, very strong edition.
The best 1997
A masterpiece in every sense of the word. I’m surprised this only finished 11th...
The best polish entry, ever
Piękna Anamarija! Powitanie z braterskiej Chorwacji!
GREAT orchestration here!! amazing wall of sound really!!
Bring back live Eurovision and countries singing in their own language 🙂
The best Polish entry ever, (so far), should of been top three with UK and Italy.
I’d have written that comment word for word 😅
The best Polish entry ever is Edyta Gorniak my friend.
Still love this one 22 years after!
Pure. Divine. Magical
perfectly remember when anna enchanted irish audience in the studio live. such piece of voice....

Celebration of Life. Amazing.
That's it! This is what the song is about. Perfectly said:)
Amazing song and performance. Diamond from Poland - my country. Bravo Anna.
Wonderful stuff. Beautifuly sewn together.
Chanter dans la langue originale, c est beaucoup mieux que le tout anglais et c est ça l eurovision
Mam ciarki gdy słucham tej piosenki. Genialna!

💕
brilliant song
Great song! i like the music and lyrics, makes you think about your existence
so classy and nice song
To jest song contest a nie to co teraz.
Haunting, dark, sexy, mysterious, weird, playful - this one is all of this!
One of my top 10 entries on that year
Best polish entry of all times (together with To Nie Ja)
I agree❤

Ja też!
I dont like many of Poland's entries, but this is by far their best.
Chyba Wojtek Pilichowski się tam na basie tak rzuca;D
Na pewno :D
ORKIESTRA SUPER
It was one of greatest songs
I like this: a translation please into English anyone? Apart from Chas (time), don't understand Polish. "But I am" in English.
I'm opening my eyes, the world's creating
Sky above me, orchard ahead of me
Aroma and flavor of green apples
And everything's so simple
You have to live truly
to deceive a time
You have to live in the most beautiful way
You live only once
You have to live in rapture
Daydreamin', lovin', dreamin'
You have to deceive a time
To live truly
I'm a grain of sand in hourglass,
a lost boat among reefs
a raindrop,
a thinking reed among the grass
But I am
I'm a spark and a blow of wind,
I'm a streak of light which comes to the stars
I'm a moment, which wants to outrun the time
But I am
I'm pricking up my ear and listening as it plays
Music inside me and i'm in the music
Before a silence consumes me
I'd like to sing, sing that...
You have to live truly
to deceive a rushing time
Live beautifully in rapture
Life happens only once
I'm a grain of sand in hourglass,
a lost boat among reefs
a raindrop,
A thinking reed among the grass
But I am
Life is a journey, life is a dream
And what will happen next?
I don't know and I know
Ask about nothing, you'll find out when
The journey, life and dreams will end.
I'm a spark and a blow of wind,
I'm a streak of light which comes to the stars
I'm a moment, which wants to outrun the time
But I am
Deserved to be in the top 3 at least.. The most songs placing higher were totally outdated and boring.. 😌
Great song! 2:26 doesn't that guitarist look like "Weird Al" Yankovic?
