Happy New Year. All the best for you and your family your loved ones. And I still enjoy watching your videos so much. And they work . Simple and efective.
Your right about the leg pump. I remember doing 50 elevated rocking pushups and 100 Hindu squats. Thinking one part would get rest.....uh no. Quads burned so bad I couldn't breathe.
It's funny you should say that, because the primal squat sequence I'm incorporating Tims' alternative into, culminates with the bear crawl. It's a bad ass sequence that I think will be improved with the addition.
Think about adding a lower body rotation when not-squating down. Would probably look like this move Kelly Manzone do with her sheena board. What do you think?
"What you're going to discover is a wonderful fire". Okay Tim lol... Challenge accepted going to work on this in October. OAN: You did a video on serpentine rocking previously. Is there a way you can make a video showing how to cook/play with rocking focusing on T-spine? Been doing rocking, sepertines, commandos, segmental rolls, marching so far. However, I'm only touching the spot, perhaps I am not approaching it correctly, just found you and man, good stuff! Either way looking forward to learning more. All the best Tim!
great variation! I'm curious if you have any ideas on the bear squat with respect to rocking hinging and squatting as these would be similar variations. appreciate all of your movement innovations.
Sweet Jeebus, my hip flexors :x Felt like occlusion burn, though I don't know why since you extend each rep and I doubt tension is high enough to create occlusion that way, but what do I know.
This is a total game changer for me! My left biceps femoris subluxes and snaps against my tibial condyle (long history of distance running.) Doing any kind of deep squat just doesn’t sound good at all and I’ve been worried about it getting worse. Unfortunately, squats are a foundational exercise for lower body strength. This incorporates not only leg strength but I like the added bonus of activating my abs and working those shoulders!👍😅
I tried this and yea… the fire was real. I think you said it in the video but want to confirm. Could this replace the Hindu squat? It felt harder to me and no balance issues. I also felt it in abs. I guess thinking about it it doesn’t work the glutes and hams like a regular squat?
It can be a replacement for the Hindu Squats if needed. You can also drive out of the bottom position with your glutes and even squeeze them at the top to work them. But the glutes and hamstrings are still involved regardless. Just differently. Like the abs are involved in both, but you feel them more in this movement.
Yes, these can be done with shoes. For the breathing part, I was suggesting just holding yourself up with your knees off the ground and trying to breathe for 10 good diaphragmatic breath‘s. It’s a lot of fun!
Happy New Year.
All the best for you and your family your loved ones.

Simple and efective.
Thank you! Happy new year to you and yours too!!!🙏
Tim thanks for this one. I start these tomorrow
Hope you enjoy!
Love it! Hindu squats give me that old person crackle. This version gives me that bonus shoulder burn.
The shoulder burn is indeed a bonus!
These are great!
Really, really, really, really excellent! I can easily add that movement to a primal squat routine that I do. Thank you. :)
Awesome! So glad it is helpful!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem I added the 'alternative' to todays' session and it fits and flows into it beautifully. Good one. Keep em coming. :)
Love your videos! All of these fun and unique movements are getting me some serious results with my athleticism. Much love ❤
That is so wonderful to hear! So glad they are useful.
Just discovered your channel. Really like content.
Awesome, thank you! So glad it is useful!
Starting here in my progress toward bodyweight hack squat. Ty
Glad it is useful!
Tim, did you make it up? 💫 I can think of the so called Mike Tyson's and bear push-up...
As far as I know I did, but there’s nothing new under the sun, and like minded people think alike with similar if not the same ideas
Great exercise! I like doing these with an added push up
That's Perfect!

Great stuff! Thanks!👍🏻😃💪🏻
Glad it is helpful!
Thanks. I’ll try it.
Great stuff Tim, thanks for posting, what a fantastic exercise, I am 54 years of age and my knees are not what they used to be.
Glad it was helpful!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Hello sir, would you say this is a good warmup for a more intense session? Been loving and binging these videos.
I do think it makes a fantastic warmup
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Nice, thank you so much for responding. I will incorporate this and more.
More good stuff. Thanks man.
This one is a doozy! Glad it was helpful to you.
Excellent! Is there an exercise like this for the hamstrings and glutes? Just found your channel. Thanks for the videos!
thanks for the question. I’m thinking on it!
Awesome! I'm gonna use this.
Have fun! 😅
It looks like bear squat or loaded beast in animal flow
Sweet! I haven’t done animal flow, but I’ve heard good things about it.
It's funny you should say that, because the primal squat sequence I'm incorporating Tims' alternative into, culminates with the bear crawl. It's a bad ass sequence that I think will be improved with the addition.
Love this!
This one is “special!”
Yesssss I Love Indian Workouts Without Equipment Better Then Mike Tyson Workout

That sounds awesome!

Hey, thank you so much. I will see what I can come up with for the T spine and rocking. Great suggestion and question. Thank you!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Thank you kindly Tim!
Looks a lot like Mike Tyson pushups without the pushup... :)
I’ve shared much with Mike. ;)
Your the bob ross of movement
You are my friend! Thank you. That is a wonderful thing to hear!
This is witch craft !! Half the load of a Hindu squat but double the leg burn 🔥
Yeah, these are fire starters!
great variation! I'm curious if you have any ideas on the bear squat with respect to rocking hinging and squatting as these would be similar variations. appreciate all of your movement innovations.

Is it better if I have a hair that isn't mine to look at while I do these? Asking for a friend. ;)
Bahahahha! Yes. Yes it is!
Sweet Jeebus, my hip flexors :x Felt like occlusion burn, though I don't know why since you extend each rep and I doubt tension is high enough to create occlusion that way, but what do I know.
It does feel like that, doesn’t it! For some reason this just puts a lot of blood into the legs.

Could you do hindu pushups on your knuckles? Regular hindu pushups hurt my right hand.
Absolutely! Moving where you can without moving into pain is both smart and effective
Thank you very much for this. Can this exercise be done with shoes on? Also, what exactly is the breathing technique you mentioned in the last part?
Yes, these can be done with shoes. For the breathing part, I was suggesting just holding yourself up with your knees off the ground and trying to breathe for 10 good diaphragmatic breath‘s. It’s a lot of fun!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Thank you!
Are your knees going to the floor on the back position?
No, they are elevated. THOUGH you could touch them down and pick them up if you wanted to.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem thanks! I’m an old fat guy trying to get in shape.. .
Glad I found your channel.
Do you lock out your knees or slight bend?
give the quads and glutes a good squeeze . That will take care of the knees. It “locks” them without slamming them to lock
Squats are squats there are no alternative squats.😁 BTW that 10 breath pause reminds me of something...
Ha! Squats are squats. Stances are stances
@@OriginalStrengthSystem 😁👍😁
