      It's funny you should say that, because the primal squat sequence I'm incorporating Tims' alternative into, culminates with the bear crawl. It's a bad ass sequence that I think will be improved with the addition.

    "What you're going to discover is a wonderful fire". Okay Tim lol... Challenge accepted going to work on this in October.
    OAN: You did a video on serpentine rocking previously. Is there a way you can make a video showing how to cook/play with rocking focusing on T-spine? Been doing rocking, sepertines, commandos, segmental rolls, marching so far. However, I'm only touching the spot, perhaps I am not approaching it correctly, just found you and man, good stuff! Either way looking forward to learning more. All the best Tim!

    Sweet Jeebus, my hip flexors :x Felt like occlusion burn, though I don't know why since you extend each rep and I doubt tension is high enough to create occlusion that way, but what do I know.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem

      It does feel like that, doesn’t it! For some reason this just puts a lot of blood into the legs.

  • @matthewpankau5683

    This is a total game changer for me! My left biceps femoris subluxes and snaps against my tibial condyle (long history of distance running.) Doing any kind of deep squat just doesn’t sound good at all and I’ve been worried about it getting worse. Unfortunately, squats are a foundational exercise for lower body strength. This incorporates not only leg strength but I like the added bonus of activating my abs and working those shoulders!👍😅

  • @jawjuh1005
    @jawjuh1005 2 года назад

    I tried this and yea… the fire was real. I think you said it in the video but want to confirm. Could this replace the Hindu squat? It felt harder to me and no balance issues. I also felt it in abs. I guess thinking about it it doesn’t work the glutes and hams like a regular squat?

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  2 года назад +1

      It can be a replacement for the Hindu Squats if needed. You can also drive out of the bottom position with your glutes and even squeeze them at the top to work them. But the glutes and hamstrings are still involved regardless. Just differently. Like the abs are involved in both, but you feel them more in this movement.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem

      Yes, these can be done with shoes. For the breathing part, I was suggesting just holding yourself up with your knees off the ground and trying to breathe for 10 good diaphragmatic breath‘s. It’s a lot of fun!

      give the quads and glutes a good squeeze . That will take care of the knees. It “locks” them without slamming them to lock
