  • Soledad / Samota / Solitude is a short dance film created in the time of corona virus quarantine. It is an inner experience of a dance artist, experiencing the anguish of the solitude. The premonitions of the forthcoming social changes in the uncertain world of tomorrow, in which the art would have to redefine it's position and values, are driving her mad. The pure present, where she finds herself here and now, is an ungraspable moment of introspection, a past devouring the future, a sensation of her illusions dying. She has never been more awake. She feels the vulnerability of her loneliness, the gentle tickling of danger. For in the new world, masks are falling, and with them also her rights... What was once taken for granted is called into question. Her self-isolation is thus a right, a duty, a privilege, an order, a coercion, a quietening, a jail. It is a duality, from which grows an even stronger desire for freedom and building bridges between us.
The silence in which her world has suddenly enveloped itself is enduring, courageous, and receptive. As is the silence of the choreography.
