No higher courage than defeating our own fears. Hats off!

Good for you! I used to love flying! My anxiety now is crippling - haven’t been on a plane since 2005.
@@ahthatkyle awful when it hits you. My partner still has anxiety but now she can cope and get on the plane. Which is good all round. Thanks 👍
It's great that airlines like Easyjet do these courses. Top marks to the lady on the PA the whole way through the flight (who I believe is also a pilot, but isn't flying here) for keeping everything calm and explaining everything!
Yeah she is a pilot too. She done a great job of reassuring people and helping them out. The whole thing has helped thousands of people fly to destinations they never thought they would be able to. Recommended to anyone who is thinking about flying, but worried about it. You can only try it and see if it's for you. 👍
I have the exact same i have claustrophobia and I hate being in small spaces. The thought of getting in a plane scares the life out of me now even though I’ve been on one before. It’s the idea of being stuck, and also when in the air you can’t get out until you get to your destination. I love how the captain is talking through everything that helps!!! Well done Sarah I know how hard this is!! I’m too scared to even do this I would have so many panic attacks.
My partner is the same. The idea of her being on the plane and not being able to get of if she wanted to. It's not the heights or the actual flying
@@JamesOhanlon wow I didn’t realise other people suffered with this! I’m not scared of actually flying either, I just can’t stand the thought of being in a small place where I can’t get out. It’s awful 😞
@@katierhi6528 must be awful. It's the anticipation too of getting on it. But once she's on, she's ok. It's just the thought of being stuck on the plane til you arrive at the next airport. Hope it all works out for you x
Hi both I have the exact same fear being trapped, apparently it’s known as Cleithrophobia 😢. Thank you James for sharing I’m hoping to go on this course this month. How did your wife cope with not being able to escape
I have been on this with EasyJet. I still struggle but not anyhwere near as bad as I did. lawrence was amazing.
Yeah he was good, big help. Glad it helped you
Well done Sarah I’ve only been on a return flight to and from Dublin from Liverpool I ended up having about 2 whiskeys James just ended up being in a fast car then going up a hill I ended up really enjoying myself when I took Angela over to Ireland for her first time but sorry to say I haven’t been on a plane since

I recognise that voice... Easyjet inside the cockpit
Booked in for this weekend i was really nervous but the zoom call you have have really eased my nerves.
My fear started after a return flight from turkey it was a turkish airline, this flight from turkey the captain didnt talk to us at all to welcome you or what to expect from the flight also when we hit a bit of turbulence i asked the air hostess if things were ok as i like a bit of reassurance and her reply was i dont know you tell me.
Not surprised with the anxiousness then, after the crew doing that
I went to Australia 7 years ago and since then I been on a couple of small boys holidays I’m going back in 2 months and I’m still shit scared of flying
Good on ya for doing it. Well done.
I'm going mine in Manchester on Sunday and I'm petrified, I want to know what sensations you feel during the light
Good luck. It was my partner's first time doing this and she was scared too. She told she had that many different types of emotions going through her, it was hard to explain. There was fear, anxiousness, excitement and more. It really did help her a lot, we have been on several European breaks now, something she never thought would be possible and we got another in January booked. Good luck with it all, let me know how you get on 👍 you can do it
How long was you flying for on the course?
@@spencebespokedreams from getting on the plane to getting of, was just over an hour. Your in the air for about 40min approx
@spenceational86 I’m going on Sunday in Manchester too! See you there, and big pat on the back for us for trying to battle our fears!
@@sidlinnit well done and good luck, sure you both will smash it. 👍
Thank you for sharing I’m also claustrophobic/ Cleithrophobic hoping to do the same course this month. How did your wife cope with not being able to escape
Thanks for the comment. On the course they give you breathing techniques and ways of helping you distract yourself. It certainly works for her, as we have been on several European breaks since this was taken and bookng another shortly. She still gets worried beforehand on flight's but she can control it now. Hope you decide to do the course and it works for you. 👍
@@JamesOhanlonahhh thank you so much for replying! That’s awesome, I’m so happy for you guys, gives me hope! Well done to your wife & you for supporting her ❤
@@tweetypie153 thank you and good luck with your course. You can do it 👍
@@JamesOhanlonthank you James 😊

Go for it 💪
Wow I need this lol
Great experience. It certainly helped her overcome her fears. Would recommend it, if you think you need it
