I think it's such a fun idea to knit a striped sweater every year! And it turned out beautifully 🤩. I do something similar, but with cabled sweaters.

Thank you!! I really love this "tradidtion" A cable sweater a year sounds like the dream!! Which have been your favorites?

Such a beautiful sweater Oline, and I love seeing how much joy it brings you. The colors are perfect all year round and it looks fabulous on you. Red and white reminds me of so many things like sailboats, flowers, candy canes, etc.
My husband likes to dress up as Waldo at Halloween - he has a red and white striped tee shirt and I knit him a red and white hat to go with it. 😄
I love seeing you and your Mom knitting together and I hope her sweater turns out well.
    Congratulations on reaching 8k subscribers!

Turned out so good!! I cant't wait for colder weather so I can wear mine. I came fully prepared and sewed on 8 buttons (2 cardigans finished weeks ago) while watching. So proud of myself 🤣 The last cardigan will get buttons during your next video 😄

Hi Olene, lovely video! I have some video ideas for you: what fibers, fiber compositions and yarn weights are the warmest and how to know whether you‘ll like a garment or not beforehand (since patterns sometimes don’t look like what you see in stores but you may not know how much you‘ll love them).

Well done, your Olga looks fantastic. You did a beautiful vlog as usual and it never gets tired to watch your videos. I loved most that you and your mom worked on the same pattern and had the chance to knit together. How is your mom's Olga progressing?
I hope that you overcome your slump with this beautiful piece in anticipation for the colder knit season 🙏

Thank you so much!! It was really fun to work on the sweater at the same time as my mom🥰 She just has a bit of the sleeves left, and then she'll be done too!
This definitely helped me overcome a bit of my creative slump!

Would you please do a tutorial on how you purl? We hold our yarn exactly the same and knit the same too. I'm newish to knitting and would love a way of purling that feels more natural and I think you have that way. I've slowed it down when I see it but I am adhd and need to see it for a longer period for it to sink into my brain. I'd be very grateful. I don't have anyone who can teach me anything about knitting nor can I go anywhere because my health makes me homebound. Thank you!

Doesn't it feel good to have the ends woven in lol I do them as I go a bit at a time so there's not so many and I tend to enjoy it and it's a way to work on the project when I don't have but a few minutes.

    • @norwegianknitter

It feels so much better to stay somewhat on top of it now! It's still not enjoyable, but I know I'll feel better for having done it!
