Excellent show of how things work.... From a retired Airline Capt who really admires the expert work of other professionals, a BIG, HARTY THANK YOU... A well-produced film with catchy music.... Again - WELL DONE!!!
That was FANTASTIC!! The Music did make me wanna take a nap.. in a good way.. like rocking me to sleep, not in a bad way like boring me to sleep. I had NEVER!! seen such a machine! and I Thank You for sharing! I am going to be a farmer in the next couple of years.. not on this scale.. but watching this gives me something I can look forward too. I LOVE! to tinker and build! Thank You for sharing and giving me something to dream and think on. God Love and God Bless You ALL!!
Thanks for posting this video. It showed potato harvesting machinery which I have not seen, before, which is always great fun. It was a bit confusing at 1:30, or so, when the first machine was carefully dumping the spuds for the next machine to load into the trucks, since the first machine had not been shown, yet. Around 4:50 that mystery was solved when the initial harvestor was shown, and what a machine it is. The post-harvest processing was a treat to watch, since we see it so infrequently.
Great video and I like the music but I don't understand why everyone thinks we have to have music covering up the sounds of whats going on in the video. Sounds of the machines is what give you the feel of the whole operation. It makes it more real. Less music and more machines.
Good video, one of my younger day jobs was cutting spuds for seed. Was cold in that quonset, but red's always taste good. Lots of baked taders and french fries there lol
Just excellent, great, video of the way it is done on big scale. It is so nice for farmers and your self wanting to show the world the type of farming and how those great machines make it look so easy.
I am more interested in the machine operation - how the potatoes come out of the ground and flow through the machine. Great quality video and nice job editing but would like to see more close ups of the two machines showing the earlier parts of the process before the potatoes flow out the side.
2 very impressive machines. Is that the biggest windrower on the market? How many acres of potatoes do you grow? Looks like nice clod and stone free soil, it would certainly fun to drive these machines. Do you have any videos of the operator controlling these machines inside the cab?
Why are the potatoes dumped back on ground after going through the digger once and then picked up again to be put in the truck. Wouldn't it make more sense to put right in the truck the first time they are handled?
It gets the field done twice as fast. That truck is only driving through the field once. it is sort of like, when you take groceries into the house and you load up your arms with as much as they can handle, so you can make a few less trips.
It appears that the first machine digs many rows and separates the potatoes from the soil and plant material. Then it puts then back down on the ground in two rows. The second machine picks them up, shakes off additional soil and delivers them to the truck.
@@kenniec47 I almost think that the second machine picks up the potatoes dumped by the first machine on ground that still has not been picked yet. So the second machine picks up another additional 4 to 5 rows?????
I have work for a potato farmer two they had one of those machines as well all I know those are garbage machines we often thought that would be a good machine Sound to Iraq for the Army

Feeding the world is not easy work, thank you farmers everywhere for all your hard work.
I had worked for a farmer in Grafton ND that had 2 &1/2 townships of potatoes he farmed and surger beets too. Nice video.
This is such an enjoyable way to spend the day.
watched many videos on here of farming and yours tops the list of them all as the best love the banjo in this one for sure

AMEN! ! !
Great way of harvesting potatoes. An American student attended me to this movie, I'm glad he did. In the Netherlands the maximum is 4 rows.
Beautiful. Everyone should have the opportunity to live on a farm.

awesome video and loved the banjo
What would you say your harvesting efficiency is? How much do you pick up versus what's left in the ground?

Bravo, congratulation, American industry.amazing machine. where is made.how much cost they?
wow some really cool machinery there! Amazing how many potatoes that baby can pump out lol.
Different than when I was 8 years old pick them in a basket dump them in a wooden barrel a quarter for barrel all day long
Be there, don't forget the sunburns either.
What are they colecting in the small green box.
Great vidio ! relly enjoyed watching it. Looks like very expensive equipment !!!
I've never understood why the potatoes were dug up then dumped back on the ground, between rows that have yet to dug up ?
Good Video, great insight into a large setup across the pond!!! Your yields look a bit less than what we get here, great machinery as well!!
Great Video, unbeliveball machines.
Я посмотрел бы на них, какие они молодцы были бы имея землю как у нас. Порвали бы эту картофелекопалку с первого раза. :))
Finally some great music for video
Pretty smooth boys pretty smooth👍
esssa máquina é de mais eu conheco a grime mas eu tinha vontade de ver
Shoot! I know these harvesters....Taking up all the roads haha. Potato Country for sure. Got to love harvest season.
the video is mesmerizing, the music is hypnotic. eye opener for a city girl
After five minutes I fell asleep with the music on a chair . But the video is super
É inimaginável essa produção, competitiva.
great video, but how do you get those harvesters from field to field, they are very wide?
Maybe the hader just comes off, like in combine harvesters?
Why are the potatoes dumped back on ground after going through the digger once and then picked up again to be put in the truck. Wouldn't it make more sense to put right in the truck the first time they are handled?
It gets the field done twice as fast. That truck is only driving through the field once. it is sort of like, when you take groceries into the house and you load up your arms with as much as they can handle, so you can make a few less trips.
I enjoyed that, what variety were they?
Nice video, how did you get the high angle shots in the field?
At 0.10 it looks like his 2nd and last axle are raised in the field. I bet he drops them going down the road :) Ever heard of soil compaction ??? LOL
2011 harvest video. Will you buy another Lenco or switch to another brand of harvester?
Looks like things are running smooth.
awesome video super machine
wow nice vid hmmm that looks so great ... what a magic machine! so much potatos woot i wont be hungry :D
fiquei encantada com o maquinário.
Eu também
Am I right: 12 rows with 2 machines ?

Clean job :) Very nice.

A lot of nice equipment...
Very Good.... Quite interesting
@mannychevy2010 theyre collecting stones that were seperated from the potatoes.
Nice! Harvesting and sorting potatos. It's every where the same. Be silent and work. :)

Best video I have seen for a long time, makes mine look a little daft ;-) well done.

The name of the potatoe farm was Adren Greskie I think.

AMAZING! Thanks for showing!

Wonder how they harvest mashed potatoes, (only asking)
DON'T YOU KNOW? With a wet/dry shop vac....
They use a tater masher picker upper.

Nice rig! What brand is it?
I saw letters like "LINCO" or smth like that.
slicker'n'snot. funny lookin ole tracter.
those machines do harvest 4 rows at once, don't they ?
or, well, the other one is harvesting 8.

The millions of dollars worth of machinery to pick the humble spud!
But the machines will probably be used for several years.
